Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse - Rosemont

Only put moderate noise, because of a local event happening that night, including where we were headed. (Lots of young children).
Food was outstanding, drinks super yummy, and the atmosphere was relaxing.
Server was very friendly and made sure we were satisfied.
10/10 would recommend and return!
The restaurant was perfectly located near the hotel where me and my future wife were staying. We had to move to another table because of a homecoming party but the manager gave us half off our bill. Great food great service!
Chicken parmigiana was just fair. Very bland with no taste. Food did not come hot. Waiter took back to make cheese crispy but looked like nothing was done and didn’t get heated. Potatoes not hot.
Took clients to dinner, Harry’s never ceases to impress our guests
great food, very busy
Wonderful food and close to our concert venue. Clean and accommodating.
Our server did her best - everywhere is short staffed :(
Entrees were very good! Bread was just right! Old Fashioned was tasty and glasses of wine were priced appropriately.
The restaurant was understaffed, as most are, however, our waitress often forgot about us and what we had asked for or ordered. Our food was cold when it was finally brought to the table and was mediocre, at best. For a $100+ dinner (before drinks) for two, definitely not worth it. We were there for a before concert dinner. We planned on being there two hours. Plenty of time to relax and have drinks, dinner and dessert before the concert. We barely finished dinner and had to hunt down our waitress for the check.
The service was agonizingly slow. Took 25 minutes for drinks to arrive, and server decided to change one as they didn’t have what was ordered. Took our order almost 1 hour after arrival. Had to ask another server for bread and appetizer plates. One meal served was completely wrong and there was no time to fix it. At least it was removed from the bill. Yes, it was busy and before a concert. But at least apologize or warn that things are slow so place orders quickly. Something! Will not go back.
Service was great, as always! Food was excellent!
Our experience and the food was good. Shelly was our hostess and she was great. I will come back again.
So disappointed! Two of our entree's were a disappointment. Both our 8 oz filet and the 12 oz filet had gristle that was inedible. That is $99.90 for two pieces of meat that we couldn't even eat completely. When we mentioned to the waiter, all he said was "oh, sorry". We were there to celebrate our daughters 18th birthday. The last time we dined at Harry Caray's (another location/June 2021) the filet melted in our mouth. That is why she chose Harry Caray's. The quality was not anything close to our last experience. The waiter was fine, but not all that attentive and certainly flippant about two pieces of less than ideal quality meat. It would be different if we were not paying high quality prices. That will be our last time at Harry Caray's.
Harry Caray's in Rosemont never let's me down. Great outdoor eating area with a diverse menu and excellent service.
Took awhile to get menu for person who arrived later and to get check which is important for people who have flights otherwise service was good.
I made reservations in advance and we were seated immediately. But we were close to the back service door and it kind of felt like we were in the servants quarters. My waitress was very sweet and polite but she had a very heavy mask on and I had a very difficult time understanding her speech. When I asked about what one of the items on the menu was, she had no idea and she had to ask somebody in the back for help. her explanation was weak at best. My husband was thrilled with his fillet but my crabcakes were a little soggy. I mentioned that it was my husband‘s birthday in the reservation and we didn’t get so much as a happy birthday greeting. Why bother asking in the reservation section if you do nothing about it? I wasn’t looking for something free but somebody wishing my husband a happy birthday would have been nice. Overall, two entrées one shared side dish and two desserts was $200 with tip and I really feel like I would have gotten a better value somewhere else.
Our first time at Harry Carays. Everyone enjoyed their meals and server, Rudy, was very attentive.
Great experience. Mike at the bar was superb. He was very attentive without being overbearing. Simply put, we had what we needed when we needed it. That's the best kind of service you can ask for. The pork chop is worth the trip alone, and my wife loved the vesuvio.
Disappointed made reservations with note wife's b-day, sever didn't read
The notes and just dropped the dessert on table and walked away.
Everyone else who had a bday got
The whole celebration. It wouldn't
Have been so bad if the other server
Didn't tell us he would be back with
Candle and dessert. She just beat cancer and this was suppose to be special. They just made it another day for her.
Overbooked, has to sit in bar, so loud I couldn't even talk to husband without yelling. Our waitress was great, she was really hustling because not enough staff..to go around.. If they don't have staff they should book less people. Had theater tickets and even with 530 reservations barely made on time for 8pm show and venue 5 minutes away..
Too bad...poor staff management..
The food is always great and the service is wonderful. The steaks are always perfectly cooked, and the chicken parmigiana never disappoints. I highly recommend Harry Caray's Rosemont.
The food is consistently tasty.
Our server was very pleasant and friendly. She explained the specials and answered all of our questions. They seemed short staffed and service was on the slow side consistent with our experience during pandemic dining yet we enjoyed a leisurely dinner.
Cocktails were perfect. Flat Iron steaks were flavorful and prepared as ordered. Filet mignon was awesome and prepared perfectly.
The soup was warm and should be served hotter. The baked potato (shared plate) was served roughly room temperature. Baked potatoes should be served piping hot especially in a fine steakhouse.
Overall, we had a delightful dinner flawed only by food delivered not hot enough. The kitchen would be well served by investing in some food thermometers to prevent this in the future.
Fun room with lots of memorabilia but not a tourist trap. Food is solid, especially steaks.
We sat at the bar and had our meal and watched football games. The bartender was excellent and took very good care of us.
We had an excellent meal with excellent service.
Very great service would definitely recommend to a friend
Everything was great. Sat out on the patio and had a great lunch!
Very good food and excellent service. Nice atmosphere.
The food was delicious and service was great!
The food and staff were terrific. It was a very fun and special night. The staff were terrific in helping me propose to my now fiancé. Everything was wonderful
Food was very good and service was good despite being busy due to a concert at Allstate.
Everything was great!
Kind of expensive chicken vesuvio was a little bland
Steak - cooked to order but simply not worth the price.
Shrimp Scampi - served on spaghetti rather than linguine as described in the menu; shrimp tough and lacking in flavor
Chicken Vesuvio - OK
Wait staff was attentive. Food was tasty
Very disappointed. The food was very bland, expensive and unfortunately our server was not very good. I had chicken piccata which came with nothing. No capers, a lemon sauce, no side, no pasta not even a garnish. It was dry and disappointing. My daughter order the mashed potatoes and again- no flavor and no garlic. Bland. No bread was offered, our water was not filled and the $24 dessert was pitiful. The cake inside was about the size of 2” x2” - said their was berries in it and I literally counted 5 sliced pieces of strawberries and the gelato was the size of a golf ball. Truly disappointed in the experience. It was a celebration for my father in laws death and we would have enjoyed a better meal. Overall I would not come back for the $600 we spent on the meal.
Last two times went it's been very quiet and out of simple items....
Good food. Good service.
Server was hard to understand and messed up twice. Food was below average. Not worth the visit
Lots of outdoor seating available in addition to indoor dining rooms. Food is always great and service impeccable.
