Portions too large. Food was average and very overpriced. Server was nice and friendly but had such a strong accent that we could not understand her. Restaurant was very loud.
Everything was great. It was our first anniversary and the staff, food was exceptional.
My beautiful girlfriend was speechless.
Food was great. Waiter was a bit officious and kept coming over which kept interrupting our conversation. He never took the hint to let us be. We certainly know how to get his attention when we needed him or wanted to order things. He kept rushing us for no reason since the restaurant was not at all full.
Excellent atmosphere. Good food quantity. Tasty, well prepared. Slow Service.
It's a nice place. The staff isphenomenal but the food really wasn't that great, it wasn't even that good.
Great place to go near ORD!
Mother in law’s birthday.
Once again, an excellent steak, but I had to send it back twice because I asked for what our waiter called "medium plus", but it came out more medium rare. The manager did comp a beverage and we received a tiramisu we didn't order.
So, all that being said, I will definitely return because these are quite possibly the best steaks I have ever had.
This was a family birthday celebration - we knew Harry Caray’s would provide a really nice meal. The steaks were done perfectly, even the ones ordered well done were tender. The fried ravioli and the Arancini were excellent- We’d go back just for the appetizers. Our server, Rick, was very attentive, service was great.
The only downside is the lack of Restrooms inside the restaurant- you have to go to the adjoining HOTEL to use the facilities! Not practical for newly trained toddlers OR mature adults.
Downtown feel close to home- we recommend and will return.
Service was attentive. The wine list does not have certain wines available which can be frustrating when the waitstaff tell you they have something and then come back later telling you they don't. The baby greens salad was good as was the cavatappi with Italian sausage. Decent portions for the price. I didn't have dessert. It's attached to the Holiday Inn so it's convenient when you're staying here overnight.
Our server was horrible, the look on her face when I told her that I was not ordering a steak was nothing less than shocking and her demeanor changed on the spot. She was rude and short the entire time afterwards. My wife and I, still ended up spending over $150 for great food, but terrible service. It was our 10 year anniversary of our first date there. Service was better 10 years ago.
Great food and service as usual.....highly recommend HC's if you're in the area.
We love this place. Food and service are always spot on.
The service and food were amazing! Highly recommend!
Enjoyed our lunch In “baseball” heaven. Food was yummy & thank you Roger for such fine service at the table of Chicago gals!
I had low expectations based on visit to downtown location. Pleasantly surprised. Everything was very good to excellent.
We sat on the patio because it was a nice afternoon. Unfortunately there were tons of red ants all around biting us. Then to make matters worse the radio was blasting some hard rock station. Absolutely not the type of music nor volume to play music for any kind of dining.
Place is like a sport bar.
Overpriced for the quality of the food.
Is not the best taste at all.
Service however was good.
Enjoyed another wonderful lunch with my son at Harry Caray's in Rosemont. Food is always excellent. Service this time was sub-par. Brought a wrong drink and needed 2nd reminder for requests. Will still return for the food and typically service is much better.
We made reservations for the dining room and when we arrived we were not greeted so we sat in the bar and were ignored. The bartender smiled and waved but no-one came to our table. Then we received water and no one came back although there were several servers that saw us. My husband finally went to the bartender and asked to be waited on. After a while we were we did get food.
We should have been waited on at first and asked if we made reservation we should have been escorted to the proper dining room. Food was ok but for the cost the ambience was loud with tvs. Not my kind of dining. If the waiters would have asked the right questions in the beginning all could have been ok. Not to return.
Very disappointing. When I pay 100.00 for my dinner, I should be saying yum. But no, filet mignon tough and Bernaise that was more like soy sauce. Martini w/o the alcohol. Will probably not be going back!
Excellent food and very good, helpful service. Pricey but worth it.
This was our second time to Harry Caray’s. Last time was 3 years ago. We come to Chicago every year for a Pampered Chef National Conference, and try to choose a different steak house each time. We chose to come back because we really enjoyed the food last visit. Well it certainly did not disappoint this time either. We had delicious drinks. I had the Key Lime Pie Martini. We ordered 3 appetizers, all delicious!!! Then we had the veal chop, shrimp scampi and the filet. All excellent. We added 2 sides, mushrooms and the corn... yum. Service was also great. We will surely return!
I expected a little more Harry Caray experience. The gift shop didn't have much to offer either. The food was good and the service was excellent.
Enjoyed dining outside. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
Loved the outdoor patio and our server; she was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. We found the appetizers way over-spiced--all you could taste in the olive bruschetta was black pepper; the calamari was also really hotly spiced (and my friends and I are not wimps as far as spice goes). The wine and entrees are overpriced.
We had a mini family reunion last evening at Harry Carey's Rosemont. It was a wonderful evening in one of their smaller rooms. Luis was our waiter and he could not have been nicer or more attentive. We also had two people who had severe nut allergies which were noted by our waiter and all food was nut free. The children's menu was wonderful as well.
Thank you to all the wait staff, chef and food staff along with the manager who made our evening delightful, safe and delicious.
Overpriced for quality of food and drinks. Bread not fresh and 1 small saucer of dipping oil left for rectagonal table of 6 people. Appetizer of grilled octopus not worth ordering for 4 small pieces. Calimari appetizer and toasted ravioli were good. Cocktails and wine expensive for suburbs. Entres were served warm and punctual. Complimentary tiramisu for birthday was nice. Service was average.
They were very accommodating for our group. The service and food is always awesome.
Great atmosphere - reasonable noise volume, although after finishing our meal we chose to move to the patio where it was quieter for after dinner drinks. The pasta special was excellent as was the chicken vesuvio.
Great and varied menu - Service by Rick is outstanding
Was ar a nearby hotel at a 3 day meeting. With limited time and energy to drive, we ate 5 times at Harry Caray’s. Easy menu and decent portions.
Dinner with friends. Our server was polite but lacked enthusiasm. Two ordered the cavatapi and said it was dry. The scampi was good but not a lot of shrimp!
Great as always, business dinner with clients...everyone lies the Harry Caray mystique and the food is great!
Great service, outstanding food!
Very slow service. Food only just fair. Will not go back. Many better options in Rosemont. Really actually bad.
Food was good. Service was EXTREMELY slow
We came to HC after my husband’s graduation. Food quality was fantastic as was our server. I do think some items were overpriced. The salmon portion was tiny given the $24 or so price. It was maybe 4-5 ounces and came over kale—no starch was included. My husband liked it, but the portion size was quite small. On the other hand, my chopped salad was huge! I barely ate half and was full. Our server was knowledgeable and very helpful with food and beverage recommendations. We’d definitely come back! They even through in desserts on the house since we were celebrating! Thanks HC!
Always reliable for a upscale business dinner or other function! Service is consistently good and overall experience is excellent!
Food was really average. No flavor. Soggy chicken. Pasta decent. Bread was nothing special
