Harry & Izzys is usually our go to spot but it was a miss last night. I ordered my usual: 2 sliders, wedge salad (split between 2), and onion rings. My medium rare- medium sliders were well done and, instead of giving us the larger wedge, he gave us 2 smalls and charged us for both. This has never happened before. My husband ordered the meatloaf. We could see the spices in it, but it was flavorless and actually without taste. The drinks we ordered - a lemon drop and a cranberry-rum - were overpowering. We chalked that one up to the fact that some people get upset if there isn’t enough alcohol. Anyway, it was less than great last night. Win some, lose some, I guess.

Calamari was fantastic. Brussels Sprout salad needed more acidity. Steak was very good, Gorgonzola horseradish had very little horseradish, especially for a place famous for horseradish burns. Bread pudding was fantastic but we were unable to finish it as it is massive!

The service was not good. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very rude and our food was slow to come out after several people that came in after us had already received their food. The restaurant was not crowded. The bartender basically acted like she didn’t want to be there.
