Due to pandemic, our experience was mediocre! But, we remember what Gulliver's was like without the pandemic...and will frequent the restaurant in the future.

We were there to celebrate belated birthday and anniversary but when dessert came out there was no mention of it and we forgot to use our coupon. Server was handling bar also and though he was friendly we had to constantly ask for refills and then for food items that never were brought. Food was delicious as always but usual attention by wait staff was lacking.
By far the best restaurant in OC. Please help support them during this pandemic.
The owners are super nice and love to keep you happy . Gulliver’s is very inviting and is always decorated for any Holiday. If you have seen a Christmas Hallmark movie, you are in for a treat. Their decorations are festive and amazing, takes you back and you feel at home. The steaks and their sides are cooked to perfection, don’t forget dessert, it’s well worth it !!
Everything OUTSTANDING! Food, service, decorations, patio....ALL were EXCELLENT. Dennis, the bartender and our server, was WONDERFUL! And the work he does to transform Gulliver's into the most beautiful Christmas Holiday Wonderland is AMAZING!

A wonderful Christmas and birthday celebration with friends! Though it was outside, they made special efforts to decorate and made it feel very festive. Unbelievable food and good wine, no one at our table went away hungry or disappointed. I would highly recommend the prime rib bones, stocked with flavorful meat and barbeque sauce, moist
and absolutely delicious. My husband had lamb, which was the best he said he has ever had. Will return as the service was A+, the ambience nice, and the food exceptional
Very disorganized. Someone left our food out on the tray for awhile. I saw a fly flying on the food, so I got up to shoo the fly away, then decided to serve myself. Never have I ever had to serve myself. Also, my truffle cake was on another party’s tray. They served the other people, then the guy got confused, wondering why there was cake when they just got their food. The guy took my dessert away, not realizing it was my dessert. We had to ask our server to return our food. Lack of communication. Why does one guy bring food out on a tray, it sits there for minutes. Then someone else comes to serve the food. During that time, a fly is flying on the food and it is getting cold. I doubt I will want to sit down to dine here anymore after this terrible experience and poor customer service. Our service was a nice lady but she was way too busy to attend to us. It took forever to even get our food and the bread was so hard too. It seemed like it was left out. The only good thing was the prime rib. The side dishes were so so. Not as good as it used to be.
Great food, great service
We've been to Gulliver's many times, including the era when John Wayne could
sometimes be found at the bar. Food is always first rate and service the same. the prices have gone up over the years but the drinks and food are still fairly priced. This is the first time we have ever eaten on the "tented" patio and it was great. They even have a great Riesling wine for only $8 a glass which I never tried before. It's great to see an old institutional restaurant still hanging on in this COVID business. No worries here!
Our server was great! We had to dine outside but all 7 of us very much enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious as always. It was our annual Christmas dinner ( co-workers and former co-workers)

Escargots we ordered smelled like hair dye chemical, Lamb is ok, sauce not too appealing, services was so lack , not sure because they've to serve outdoor, tired?
Service and food were great, as always. Staff made the best of a difficult situation since it was outside-only dining and it was horribly windy that night. They were very accommodating and attentive!

A special place for special dining...
Four of us dined and bill was over $400 with tip. This was cocktails, starters, entree and dessert. Our prime rib was ordered medium rare, and it arrived very rare. Meat was chewy with little flavor. We were not real pleased.
Service was slow. We had to flag our server down a few times.
Reservation was at 6, weren’t seated until 6:30, server didn’t come to our table until 6:45pm. Once our meals arrived, we didn’t get checked on so we didn’t order more drinks or get water refills.

The ambiance and hard working host and waitresses are amazing, however the food and its quality as well as the quality of cooking was lacking to say the least.
For a place calling themselves a steak house they should be able to know how to cook a steak " a little over medium rare, on point" instead i received a dried out piece of inedible shoe that was only good with A1 sauce over it.
Food was awesome. It was expensive, but I do not mind paying for what I get.

Went to Gullivers for the first time to celebrate the wife's birthday. The Prime Rib was good and the sides were great. The kids dishes were okay. I would say the price was a little high so value was not great, but the food was good.
Very outdated ambience. The waitress costumes were unnecessary. The prime rib was ok, but not a good value for the price. You can find better steaks elsewhere at high end steak houses for less.
