We always enjoy coming to this intimate family restaurant. Fodd is consistently good and service very friendly.
Wonderful, memorable meal made all the better by simply outstanding service.
For such a tiny kitchen Chef Carlos continues to create delicious food. This was our second visit and food just gets better and better. Our server recommended the caramelized squash and an order of pan (sweetish bread a la Central America) for dipping! Brilliant. We ordered more bread for dipping the sauces on our entrees- wild caught shrimp with spicy tomato sauce and a Lung cod with a Caribbean flavored sauce - think coconut and papaya. Service was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!
One of the best meals I’ve ever had!
Very welcoming place, small and intimate. Great service and food.
The food was absolutely fresh and delicious and we love that this is truly a family run business.
Always a special treat, food is amazing, great people and conversation.
If you are lucky enough to be seated at table #6 you are in for a special treat! Our table gave me the mesmerizing view of Chef Carros work area. Watching him perform his magic was one of the highlights of our Sonoma trip. The limited menu allows him to personally conjure every meal. I watched him make each salad to order, mixing by hand to make sure every green in the salad was coated evenly with his scrumptious dressing. Not being familiar with his Latin creations, our waitress took time to explain the entire menu. We felt as if we were the only customer in the crowded restaurant. The rolls were exceptional, and the candied walnuts perfectly coated yet soft. How does he do that. The Paella was delicious. What a treat. Thank you
Love the food and very accommodating to gluten free.
Delicious quality food. Home vibe and family owned and operated. Felt like I was eating with family rather than just a restaurant. Highly recommend and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs and make us feel special. And did I say how good the food was...?
Fabulous, creative, unique courses. Amazing flavors, several from Grandma’s recepies including their Guiso sauce. And a family member to explain every dish.
Guiso is the most amazing experience! Amazing food, service and ambiance.
This is the best kitchen in Sonoma County. Service with Valerie was outstanding.
I hope they are able to get to a bigger better restaurant soon. They do the best they can with the post covid space and it is the only thing which could be improved.
Paella was distinctive (plenty for two) and the halibut prepared perfectly
Let Valerie recommend a wine to complement their menu.
What a great place! Everything about the experience was wonderful. The food is innovative and distinctive, but not pretentious. Simply delicious. The chef and staff are incredibly sweet and accommodating. Their reputation is well deserved!!!
The paella was fantastic. A unique twist versus other versions
This restaurant is a true delight to your palate: every bite was a joy!!! A must try when in Healdsburg. We will definitely return!
Off the chart, absolutely the best. We go here every time when we’re in the area
After a long time away it's so good to be back at Guiso, we felt like part of the family. The food was amazing as always, we left so satisfied and happy. Can't wait to come back!
Simply the Best. The owner/chef is a master of flavors. The sauce on the Camerones Borracho is so good we order it ever time. You have to get the pan (delicious in its own right). To soak up the extra sauce. Prices are very reasonable especially for Healdsburg. Service is always so friendly and punctual but this time a little slow which is not unusual in these times. Plus they were busy but they are always busy!
Great food as always, but the food took a long time to come out. We were told kitchen was under staffed.
Every item we had was just delicious. Everything had its own unique flavor and it was just so good. We shared a variety of appetizers because there were just so many we wanted to try. The salad, the rolls, the pupusas. All delicious and would recommend. Then fish tacos and octopus. If we had to pick our favorites they would be the salad and octopus. The salad dressing was just the best I’ve tasted and everything in the salad was fresh. Every bite was perfection. Loved our weekend in Healdsburg and look forward to coming back. When we do we will definitely check out Guiso’s again.
Hidden jewel family-run restaurant with friendly staff and unique Latin American inspired food. The paella is a must try! All of the appetizers were delicious! (The app didn’t let me add photos, so will try to add in separate post)
Great place for sharing small bites and tapas! Pupusas were a favorite!
Unique, flavorful dishes all with a great presentation. Servers are passionate about and proud of their food. Chef engages guests from the kitchen which is open to the dining room. The welcoming, family feel and attention to detail are palpable. A wonderful experience all around!
Food was fantastic!! Service was excellent while the chef kept in touch with all five tables inside the restaurant. Highly recommend!
Outstanding food. Excellent wait staff. Very talented chef. Can't wait to go back!
The sweet family that runs Guiso puts care into every dish. Hearty, wonderfully inventive food, and warm friendly service. One of THE best food options in a town with many.
Wow, I’m so impressed! All the dishes were incredible.
Flavor explosions. Unique sauces. Friendly family service.
So lucky to have this casual dining option in our town. Menu doesn't change often but everything is terrific.
Great and friendly service. Creative latino restaurants in a cozy setting.
Of course due to Covid we ate outside. Carlos’s fiancé waited on us. She is so warm and friendly. We order the corn and the octopus for our appetizers. The octopus was delicious, but the corn is like crack! We ordered the steak for 2 for our entree. I am not a steak fan, but I’ve eaten many steaks. The steak was the most flavorful, delicious steak I have ever eaten. I highly recommend Guiso’s. It will not disappoint.
Outstanding food prepared and served by people passionate about what they do.
We were fortunate enough to get a reservation here on a Friday night while visiting during Harvest. After a small wait due to the restaurant being full, we had the pleasure of having the chef’s sister as our server. We got the papusas, pan, and tacos de pescado. Everything we had was amazing. This restaurant is all run and operated by family and friends and you can tell by the atmosphere and the food. Chef ended up coming out to our table and speaking with us directly. Chef’s sister had told us how her brother had this dream and brought it to fruition. He gave us some more information behind what he was going for with his restaurant and spoke with my girlfriend about both of their heritages (my girlfriend is Colombian). We topped the night off with crema de guayaba and Sweet Hartz cheesecake to go. We can’t recommend this restaurant enough and will definitely be making this a required eating experience every time we visit wine country. Thank you again Chef for a wonderful dinner and serving us so late in the evening (we managed to get the last available reservation).
What a fabulous evening! Each dish was a delight. We will be back soon as we want to try the rest of the menu!
A great dining experience. You could tell there is a love and passion for the food they are serving. Every single dish that came out was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our two favorites if we had to choose were the Shrimp and Octopus. Highly recommend! Pro Tip: Order the bread to sop up the sauce from the Shrimp! Haha
Will definitely be back again and will be telling all our friends about this place. GREAT JOB GUYS! Thanks for such an enjoyable meal.
This restaurant is a gem in Healdsburg. Small Chef owned and operated. The food and service was fabulous! If you are a fan of Latin fusion this is the place to go. Chef interacts with the guests to ensure all is well. Wait Staff was friendly and knowledgable about all the food. Some of the dishes are prepared by Chef's grandmother offsite or at least are her receipes.
This family owned and run gourmet Latin fusion restaurant is a Wine Country jewel. The tastes combinations, presentation, intimate service and attention to detail goes well beyond into culminating a memorable, delectable and treasured experience for all.
What a amazing place! Food and service was excellent! The chef and owner is a magician with food!
Fantastic & top notch. We had an amazing time, great hospitality. Maracuya dressing, wow. The cubanitos sliders are the best sliders on the planet. Highly recommend the paella, the sauce is extraordinary and it's mostly seafood and veg, not so much rice. The family vibe is wonderful and our server Valeria is a sweetheart. Thank you, we will be back, often....
