One of our go to places! Love the Boss margarita. Chips and salsa are awesome!! Love how they warmup the salsa.. so good!! The carnitas Michoacán’s are the bomb!
Food was delicious, service very attentive! Can’t wait to go back!
Edward is great! Had fun, food wad excellent!
Best carnitas. Love the stuffed Denver sole. Tamales ok. Shrimp dishes unique and good. Chips and salsa great. Margaritas darn good too. Best Mexican restaurant in Palm Desert!
Mediocre food, nothing special or remarkable. .................................................................................................................................................
They put us in a glassed-in room, away from the other tables. Not a good spot. Should have asked for another table.
Wonderful authentic Mexican fare. Very good margaritas. Service was excellent. The owner stopped by our table to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Eell worth a visit.
We go to Guillermo’s a couple of times every time we are in the desert. The food is great and so are the margaritas! This is a must visit restaurant
Ther people are great, the service was terrific, the food was authentic and delicious.
The food was excellent. Everything we hoped for.
Service was okay.
Your guitar player was great. We really enjoyed his selections.
Just a great evening! We had a later dinner(7:30 pm) so the restaurant was not very busy. A guitarist played quietly in the corner. Service was attentive but far from “smothering “. We both had “house special” entrees; pork stew and octopus. Unique and very good. For desert “flan”; very good. Based on our first visit to Guillermo’s we would highly recommend this restaurant!
This place is mediocre at best.
Loud as heck, but food and service are excellent
Food, drinks and service were outstanding. We chose to eat on the patio on a warm evening, where only a few tables were occupied. The dining room was packed. I started with the Periquitos Rellenos with shrimp, and ordered the shrimp spiral wrapped in bacon for my main course. I have to say these were the best two shrimp dishes I have had in recent memory. Just fabulous! My wife ordered the carnitas with salsa verde and raved about it as well. The margaritas were the best I have found in the Valley. We will be back to try something else on the menu.
Highly recommended and yet very disappointing outcome. The food was late (we waited over an hour) and when it came it was not what we expected. The bacon wrapped shrimp looked nothing like it and the shrimp themselves were not fully cooked. The Chili verde was approx a tablespoon of meat on the side of the plate and worth nowhere near what we paid for it. To compensate for the incredibly long wait we got another basket of chips (yeah!). I would not recommend this restaurant to any friends contemplating a visit.
Food was more authentic than most. Lots of seafood to choose from. Spicy salsa on request. Drinks were good too.
Great margaritas and good food! I had a Cadillac margarita that was delicious! The carnitas was authentic and very good too!
Great place for a Delicious meal and fun time.
It was very nice. Food was excellent. Very authentic Cali-Mex
Great food, great value. I over-ate, and glad I did! Cool friendly staff, fast, authentic.
Great place. Highly recommend. Food and service are excellent. Authentic Mexican food, and high quality. Place is very well managed, and say hello to Guillermo. Will be back!
Fantastic from start to finish! Every aspect of the dinner was exceptional. Very unique Mexican entrees and the guacamole was superb.
Our family would highly recommend for any occasion!
Excellent food, terrific server (Angelo aka Peru), convivial visit by owner, a good experience!
We love Guillermos! They have fantastic service, delicious chips, and the salsa is so good, I could just drink it from the bowl. Their fajitas are my favorite and plentiful. I just ate my leftovers last night and they were just as delicious. I love that Guillermo personally comes to your table to see how everything was. He engages in conversation and is quite friendly. We love that this is a family owned restaurant and everything is freshly homemade! It is definitely our go-to Mexican Restaurant!
One of the best values in the desert with upscale, authentic Mexican cuisine.
Always an enjoyable dining experience. We had five people and we all tried different menu items. They were all outstanding.
Best Carnitas ever......every time I travel to Palm Desert I make sure that Guillermo's is on my list of places to eat - I want to go back for a second trip before I go home! Great food!
Food was very good as well as the service. Please add some music to the outdoor dining space!
First time here, it was wondering our waiter was fun on top of service, food was perfectly cooked everything was a great time. We will be back.
We had an enjoyable meal with options to suit everyone’s tastes. The margaritas were good too!
This was our first visit to Guillermo’s and we were delighted. The service is impeccable, and we felt appreciated. The tortilla chips are made fresh on site, and are served hot from the fryer. We’ll be back.
Loud but it was the time of our reservation
Excellent in accommodating food alergies! The waiter was patient and thorough in getting information from a member of our party, and providing information about menu items.
Made us feel at home there. Excellent service.
we didn't know what to expect from a typical Mexican restaurant, but were very surprised by the creative cuisine, especially their signature prawn dish. Service was very good, cocktail drinks were a plenty on the list, and the overall ambience added to a very nice evening.
Unfortunately my husband ordered steak. He said it was not a good cut of meat (tough) and also over-cooked. I would never order steak at a Mexican restaurant. My pork carnitas (?) was excellent.
Great place and All aspects excellent
Our second visit to Guuiilermo's and consistently as excellent as our first visit. Very attentive service, excellent food, friendly inviting atmosphere.
Real Mexican food not just tacos etc. owner is real Mexican easy parking.
While the setting is nothing special, the food was delicious and seemed more authentic than your typical Mexican restaurant. Great, friendly service and yummy food! I had the chicken tacos - the meat was finely chopped so tasty with fresh cilantro and guacamole. My mother had the bacon-wrapped shrimp house specialty - what an unusual dish and presentation! Also very good.
