Gravity Bistro is the essence of French and Italian cuisine through the lens of modern California dining. Our philosophy is simple food, done well. We celebrate seasonality and simplicity in our menus created by Chef Billy Hazra and his team. You are able to enjoy an international selection of wine, beer, and spirits curated for the seasonal menus. Enjoy the bistro ambience of Gravity for a light bite and drink or a complete gastronomic experience in downtown Palo Alto.
The General Manager, Mark Little, and his staff can guide you through the different options. Please ask our knowledgeable and friendly staff any questions about our food and drink menus. We offer a vegetarian menu along with gluten-free options to suit your needs. We are proud to share our exquisite cuisine in a wonderful setting and look forward to welcoming you.

I've been there twice. Once with my wife and once with friends. The menu is creative and the execution of the dishes is extremely high. Everything we've had has been excellent. Highly recommended.

Good for appetizers and desserts. Would not recommend any of the large dishes/entrees. Wine was over priced for the quality.

The happy hour menu was impressive and the three dishes we ordered were delicious. Roasted Brussel Sprouts, oysters Rockefeller, and lamb meatballs. We topped it off with butterscotch pudding. The wine was very nice and service was excellent. I only wish happy hour lasted later than 5:30 PM.

The food was excellent and service was good! My only complaint is that the lighting is harsh LED which detracts from the ambience.

The octopus salad was fabulous. Often the octopus is chewy but what we received was tender and tasty. I had the short ribs and my husband had the game hen. Both were delicious. There was an interesting selection of wines, and both of us enjoyed what we chose.

We enjoyed our first visit to Gravity bistro and wine bar very much. I had the roasted oysters appetizer and ahi tuna on minestrone (I know tuna/minestrone seems like an odd combo, but it was delicious) dinner while my husband had the French onion soup and short rib on polenta. All dishes were prepared well and portions were on the large side. We had wines by the glass; the selection was quite interesting. Our waiter provided prompt and knowledgable service we enjoyed the quiet ambiance. I think the bistro is pricey, but not out of line with other expensive establishments.

Great find in Palo Alto. Octopus and burrata appetizers excellent. Butternut squash ravioli tender and delicious. Reasonably priced wine list.
