Granada Bistro did a great job making our dinner special for my mother, who turned 60. I booked our reservation on Open Table. On the day they called me to ask if I had a seating preference, I didn't but asked them to place us at the host's recommended table. They also asked about a dessert preference for my mom so we could surprise her with a birthday treat, again I asked for the host's suggestion. The night went so well. The server was attentive and communicative when needed. The ambiance was wonderful, we sat outside on the patio. There was a wonderful fire going in the center of the patio and plenty of space heaters, so eating outside was comfortable. The server suggested that the menu was designed to be ordered family style, which suited us well. We ordered several items and enjoyed sharing every dish with each other. I think my favorite dish that night was the gnocchi. My sister, who works in the wine industry was impressed with their selection of local wines too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to someone else.
Tiana, our waiter, was phenomenal as was the food and drinks!
Second floor patio added to the ambiance. Great Thanksgiving menu that was non-traditional and delicious. Worked well with offering gluten free options.
We had Thanksgiving dinner here, and the entrees were amazing! My husband loved the pork chop, and my salmon was to die for! We didn't give 5 stars because the desserts left a lot to be desired, especially the pear and apple tart. It was a huge disappointment, undercooked, cold and generic puff pastry with practically raw fruit, it was below a beginner effort. The other reason we didn't give 5 stars was the choice and volume of music played that evening. It was really loud, which we decided was their way of creating privacy between tables as they were crammed in so close together. I've walked past this place many times and never heard the music so loud. Also, the choice of music for a holiday was rather bizarre. We have fairly eclectic tastes in music, but this really put us to the test. Some techno babble that we'd never heard before, that was totally holiday inappropriate. It has made me rethink the hassle of Thanksgiving dinner might just be worth it...
Overrated in yelp!! Food serve for thanksgiving dinner was not really that good. They should made thier regular menu available. The 3 cheese appetizer is good!! Ambience is poor! So dark you cannot see your food. Had to use my light in my iphone to sign the check :( Over all i put 2 star
Lovely spot indoor & outdoor patio with heaters. Interesting food choices in all categories. Special.
Highly recommend this spot! We sat on the patio on a fairly chilly night but their heaters were awesome. The food was spectacular and the service very friendly and prompt. We will certainly be back.
Food was absolutely delicious! Great classics and spot on delicious new culinary masterpieces!
First time here, for my bday dinner. Had the mezcal cocktail to begin, which was a lightly smokey delight. We were a party of 6 and came to Grenada because all of us (locals) had never been, but had heard good things. Food was uniformly very good ( gnocchi, sprouts and scallops were best I’ve had for at least a year). The fact that they allow and were quite gracious about us bringing in 2 bottles for corkage ( local wine I’d been saving for a few years) earned Grenada extra points. We needed a third bottle and our waiter suggested something new to me - but in a similar vein to what I had brought- and it was very good.
Spoiled by our friends (and their 3-yr old) with the best brunch in SLO. What is the magical ingredient in those delectable potatoes? :)
wow! I have not been to a restaurant in a very long time where I literally wanted to order everything on the menu. Our server, Matthew was excellent and very patient with all my questions. I did over order a bit but I was warned just could not make up my mind and I was glad I did as was my daughter (left overs for her dorm) The food, the ambiance and the wait staff were top notch. It will be a must stop next time I'm in town.
Very impressed with this restaurant. The hostess reached out to me in the morning to let me know that it was going be really hot on their patio so she would be happy to book us a table for 7 inside if we preferred. I said yes! Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and had outstanding service. The food was excellent and the place is lovely. I highly recommend their Granada Benedict. Can’t wait to go back.
Appetizers were great, cocktails were good. My 2 friends and I got the special which was the Salmon and it was not good. We spent $200 for 3 people with one alcoholic drink each, price for entree was a lot for it not tasting good.
Outstanding food and service!!!
Chicken meatballs yes!
There was six of us. We had a few appetizers and four different entrees. Everything was excellent. At first we thought that we would be cold sitting outside, but with all the heaters we were toasty warm. Food and drinks arrived very promptly and our server, Matt, was very knowledgeable and helpful with going over the menu.
My wife and I moved to SLO this past June, and every time we walked past Granada Bistro it looked incredibly cool & scrumptious. For my birthday weekend we put our observations to the test...let me confirm that GB's cuisine (e.g. chipotle hollandaise, are you kidding me? Even better: dipping their breakfast potatoes into it) might be even tastier than their hip decor. Even their brewed coffee was perfect...we're already planning our next visit!
Quite possibly the best dining experience we have had in several years. Outstanding in every possible way!
We had a wonderful dinner experience on the patio. Cool evening, but the fire was toasty. Beautiful and intimate ambience. We all enjoyed the brussel sprouts and cheese/meat plate as appetizers. Monday’s special fried chicken was delicious, as was the halibut. Definitely save room for the chocolate pudding. You will be happy you did!
Nice wine list ,good food , outdoor seating. Fun Hip spot in Dwontown SLO.
Love Granada Bistro - best restaurant in SLO in my opinion! Great combination of food, drink, service, ambience!!!
Meat was undercooked - the server should have asked how my guest wanted her burger cooked. Also, the entire place was almost empty, but we were seated right next to the only other customers in the place.
Great spot!! So glad we came in.
I first went to Granada for Dinner a little over a month ago and found it to be delicious. I got married this last weekend in SLO and thought it would be a perfect place for my groomsmen and I to have brunch before the wedding. It was perfect, delicious good food. I have some very healthy friends and some that want everything fried and there were options for everyone. We sat on the patio and it was beautiful and the waitress was very nice and accommodating. I will definitely return!
Fabulous evening at the Granada Bistro. Perfect service. Knowledgeable wait staff. Great food. Great ambiance! What more could you ask?
Everything is always consistently great! The only issue is the loudness of the music. Wish they could turn down the speaker noise.
My husband and I had dinner here and we loved it. The food and atmosphere were excellent! The service
is great as well. We will definitely be back!
Lovely food, perfect service and a great ambience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal with craft cocktails. Try the refresher!
Looooove this place. I live in LA & found it on a review, prior to my visit. Now I want to come back just for this amazing atmosphere, great service & deliciously prime eats! Not to be missed!
This was my second visit to Granada Bistro, and there will be more visits to come! The signature cocktails are highly varied and fun and there's something for everyone. We arrived early for our reservation and had a great time at the bar and were seated right on time for our reservation. The avocado toast and roasted cauliflower to start our meal were amazing. We enjoyed the roast chicken and halibut immensely as our entrees. We'd hope for a lemon dessert we enjoyed on a prior visit but the menu is seasonal so we had to opt for new treats. The jalapeno creme brulee was exceptional. The chocolate and peanut butter pudding just okay. All in all, everything we'd hoped.
The Granada Bistro met my favorable expectations based on word-of-mouth from friends.
Really lovely find in San Louis Obispo. Attractive brick building on quiet street with great atmosphere and fire pit for dining on patio in cooler evenings. Menu was interesting and sophisticated and food was delicious. Would definitely recommend for foodies. Special half price offer on wines was much appreciated! My only criticism was that almost no lighting on patio made it difficult to read the menu or see our meals.
excellent service and food and wine selection. I will plan to be back soon.
My wife and I sat outside where the weather was perfect. Comfortable table location and seating. Our waiter -- Zemma -- was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable of what was on the menu. She answered our questions and when she wasn't sure about a certain dish she checked with the chef and informed us quickly. The charcuterie plate was excellent and when the time came our meals came to the table hot. My wife enjoyed the Squash Blossom Rellenos while I enjoyed the well prepared Halibut with a local chardonnay . Zemma made the meal a memorable one with her outstanding service.
The service was spectacular and the food was overall pretty good but not memorable. I wish there was a bit more lighting so I could see my food but that might be what they were going for. I had a pleasant dinner but I probably won’t be coming back for dinner any time soon. I will be back for their brunch though just to try it out.
Everything was amazing - from the cocktails, soup, and charcuterie to mains of hanger steak and pork ribs we were blown away. Great flavours and perfect portions. Romantic ambiance to celebrate our engagement.
The food and atmosphere are amazing! What made our evening extra special was our waitress, Tianna Morgan. Tianna has such great, fun energy and is also knowledgable about the menu! It was a perfect date night for my husband and I!
Great food, nice atmosphere, slow service. Good drinks and a great, diverse menu.
I don’t write many reviews but the food here was just too good. The kind of meal where we both kept interrupting the conversation to exclaim how good it was after every bite. I have never had such a succulent and well-flavored chicken in my life, and my wife thought the same of the halibut. Great servers, nice outdoor seating. We don’t live here but won’t ever forget this place.
