She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food. These memories are realized when one walks into Johnny Carrabba’s new restaurant, Grace's.

I’ve been here several times and my experience has always been great. This time, I visited for HRW. Every course was amazing. Gumbo (rice on the side), Surf and Turf with brussel sprouts (ah-mazing), and the Red Velvet cake (to-go because I was stuffed). Oh, let me not forget their signature Sidecar (my fave) that was made to perfection. Grace’s was our backup option for the night but I’m so glad we ended up here. A+++
Great restaurant weeks menu.
Restaurant is way too loud and the food was marginal at best. Save your money.
Great time was had by all!
Went there for HWR. Gumbo was some of the best we have ever had. The blackened ribeye with crawfish cream sauce was very rich and delicious. Our server got my husband's wine wrong (chardonnay instead of a red cab) and also brought us the wrong check. Overall, would return but would want a different waiter.
As always, we are never disappointed at Grace's. Our server was terrific! Very knowledgeable and friendly but did not hover. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner. We splurged and shared a piece of carrot cake. (More than enough for BOTH of us). Would highly recommend.
Food was delicious, service was very good, friendly and upbeat ambience. Great place for a celebration or ladies get together. Perfect for dinner before attending The Music Box Theater!
Great food, beautiful venue, and wonderful server, Perry!
Fantastic food and service. Great atmosphere whether a business meeting or date with significant other. Shrimp burger was fantastic and the oyster salad was great.
As always, the food was excellent.
We had lunch here during HRW, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Sophie was our server, and she was outstanding. Sophie was caring, friendly and efficient. She even asked “Grace’s” daughter (who happened to be in the restaurant at the time), to pay a visit to our table, which she did. This made our visit even better. The food was over the top (be sure to try the desserts). I highly recommend Grace’s for any occasion.
All the food was delicious, but mostly the Red Velvet cake!
The food was delicious!! Can't wait until next time to try other dishes.
Came here for HRW and it’s was well worth it! So much food for the price! Really enjoyed my time here! My husband loved it too, and he’s a picky eater. We will definitely will be back!
Wonderful dining experience for my mom's 59th Birthday! Service and food were stellar. The location was great.
It’s so nice when a restaurant honors reservations and seats you on time! From the moment we arrived the experience was absolutely amazingly. Food and service were both incredible.
Sooo delicious. The definition of southern home-cooked food.
First time but definitely not the last!
From the moment you walk in it feels welcoming, hostess was very accommodating we were an hour early from our reservation. Not an issue, the service was extremely high quality very on point my tea glass was never empty. The food is amazing five stars!
If you never been, you need to visit this Houston gem established in 2012. Supporting Houston Restaurants Weeks Houston Food Bank is reason enough to try and like me you’ll plan on going back.
Excellent food and friendly service the wait time was very quick and the food was absolutely great.
Excellent food, wine selection & service was superb!
Food was great. Service was outstanding
It's the go-to place for comfort food - there's something for everyone. It's comfort food with class! Service is exceptional - wait staff is very knowledgeable, friendly an accomodating.
The valet was ready to park our car, we didn't have to wait for our table, the area in which we sat was calm cosy and relaxing, our waiter was listening to us and was very professional in his approach. The bread brought to the table was a little disappointing, it tasted like sponge cake, how about fresh baked bread slices?, the tortilla soup was delicious and the pork, chicken fried chicken was delicious also. My chicken was a bit bony will order the flat chicken next time. A cookie with a candle was brought out for our birthday guest, no reminders necessary. Another beautiful memorable evening at GRACE'S - can't wait to come back.
Great food and service. Especially good deal because of the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu.?
Not that great, like an overpriced Shoney's. Food was mediocre at best and the dining area was crowded and tightly spaced.
Requested on reservation to mention we were celebrating our 35th Anniversary this did not happen.
Tables are too close together. Can’t talk to your date.
It was my Nana’s first time and she thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine and experience.
Tables are close and not intimate but food was good and waiter was great
On a Friday nite, the restaurant is very crowded and VERY Noisy. Hard to have a dinner conversation. Tired of restaurants that don't take the time or money to create a quieter environment for customers
I would recommend to a friend, but tell them to go at an off peak time. Because I do not consider the noise level energetic, unless I was a waiter. It would keep me moving. As a patron, it was way to loud. Me and my friend could not carry on a conversation. The acoustics were terrible.
The service in the in the bar area was outstanding.
Excellent food, good friendly service, ambiance. Easy parking with the nearby garage.
I birthday lunch
We had a great experience at Grace's! Bruce, our server, was beyond excellent! My daughter is vegan and he went above and beyond to make sure her food was just as appetizing as the rest of us non vegans at the table. I had the red snapper and brussel sprouts. My husband and son had the seafood platter. Everyone bragged on the food and the friendly dining atmosphere.
Never seemed rushed! Thank you.
The Restaurant Week menu fantastic, the fried pork chop was incredible
The service and food are great. During this visit we were seated close to a waiters cove and the traffic was probably necessary but very distracting.
The food was wonderful and so was the service from the staff! Will be returning and highly recommend
José was/is an awesome waiter, we really appreciated him.
