She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food. These memories are realized when one walks into Johnny Carrabba’s new restaurant, Grace's.

Good food and ambiance
This is a great retsaurant...Service is outstanding and food is great.
The service is always impeccable. I always get the fried quail, and it is the best I have ever had prepared by a restaurant. I'm glad you still offer it even though it is no longer on the menu.
Always enjoy our food and server Jose!!
Try the pork roast and do not skint he onion rings.
My sisters drove in from New Orleans to celebrate my bday. A coworker recommended Grace's for the braised short ribs. I had never been so made reservations for 7pm. We arrived at 7 and were checked out and walking out of the restaurant by 8:09pm. I understanding table turnover by the service was extremely fast - TOO FAST! We ordered bottle of wine, appetizers, main course and were never asked if we would like to see a dessert menu nor offered coffee or after dinner drinks. We would have ordered another bottle and possibly dinner drinks but were made to feel very rushed to leave. Our waiter Austin was pleasant and we kind of joked with him about the quick service but he downplayed it. Recommend slowing your service down a bit and then maybe I would consider recommending Grace's. :(
Excellent food...service personal and efficient....In our opinion, music a little too loud for visiting comfortably
I took my 85 year old aunt for her birthday. The gentleman server was outstanding. We ordered the salmon and one dish was burnt. Overall meal was fine.
As always the food was incredible and the service was top notch.
Great want to go back
Delicious! Great Service. This was only our second visit, but there will be many more.
This place was great and accommodates all allergies!
Amazing service, atmosphere, food, and drinks!
Food was little salty
John is an excellent server!
Always a great experience! Friendly and professional staff that is absolutely customer focused on serving a great meal.
Awesome food: TexMex and/or Southern Comfort, with an Asian flare. To die for!
Delicious food, great service! A fun dining experience for our group!
Great atmosphere and the service was amazing. The waiter offered suggestions and accommodated the substitutions we requested.
Can’t wait to come back!
Great place. We've now celebrated several special occasions at Grace. I highly recommend them.
Dined with another couple. We all started with soup, the two women had the tortilla soup and I recommended the gumbo to my friend. The gumbo is perhaps the best I've ever had. I mean, it's THAT good. The texture and flavors are spot-on, with just the right amount of heat, just the right amount of rice, veg, seafood, etc. It's straight-up delicious. For our main course my wife ordered the tuna stack. It's one of her favorite dishes and even though it's technically an appetizer, it works as a main course. I ordered chicken fried chicken with brussels sprouts. Even though basically 100% of children will spit out brussels sprouts, as an adult, I'll eat them 10 different ways. These had a nice flavor and were cooked well. The chicken was crispy and delicious - and I'm a big gravy fan. The highlight was a side dish of mac & cheese that my friend ordered. It was EXCELLENT, better than Luby's if you're familiar with the local cafeteria that's famous for its mac & cheese. I left the restaurant STUFFED. All four of us were "fat and happy" after a satisfying meal. The dining room was... energetic (don't call it loud), and next time I'll request a quieter table.
Had reservations and still had to wait for a table. Service was awful, food was good. Very loud.
Food is always delicious. Waite staff is the best in the city!!!
Food and service was great as usual! I will continue to come to Grace’s and bring my friends as well.
Made reservations with Open Table (highly recommend). Excellent service, food and atmosphere.
Went to Grace’s on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday with friends. We were given a round table in the corner which was perfect as it was a little away from most of the diners and we were able to all talk to each other. Bruce was our server and he was excellent. The food was amazing. Ordered the ribeye and I’m pretty sure we all tried everyone’s plates as everything was delicious. Would recommend. It is a little louder than I anticipated.
I asked in the reservation for a quieter table, realizing that this restaurant is not quiet. We were placed at the front at a very noisy area. There were several tables in the back that were empty but we were told that they were reserved. I informed the waitress that we had a reservation too and why could they not accommodate us. We moved to another room next to a very noisy event going on which was better than the table they wanted to seat us at. The food is very good there but the service was spotty. In the beginning the waiter was attentive but then later we could not find him. We do not feel this restaurant is worth the hassle anymore. There are just too many good restaurants in Houston that have better management. Up to that point, we had eaten at Grace’s 4-5 times, usually for dinner. We will not be going back.
Spectacular, as usual! The tortilla soup is some of the best in the city!! The tuna stack is also a favorite. Delicious and wonderful service as always! Thank you!!
I liked the decor but it’s noisy. I had a very good green salad with blue cheese and the tuna stack was delicious. My husband had the stroganoff- he liked it but it was a little heavy.
Celebrating school accomplishment.
We had an amazing time at Graces! Bruce was our waiter and he was so perfect!!! I was so sadden by the garlic bread being replaced by a classic roll with sweet butter— really boring and everyone has that same style nowadays at almost every restaurant. Any who, the food was great and we will definitely go back again especially if we get the chance to get Bruce again.
I always eat at Graces.. very good food and drinks
Very good food, service, and ambiance. However, we sat outside which is quite noisy, even on a sunday morning at 10am. I would not recommend sitting outside.
Very good and friendly service. Service almost immediately.
The food was wonderful. Our waiter, Ben, was excellent. A perfect evening
The host greeted us promptly with a smile and told my husband happy birthday, as it said on the reservation note. The service was slow but the food was great so it worked out.
