A true find in the Galena area. Went twice in one week. Consistency of excellence clearly showed. This place is a gem.
What a marvelous experience! Everything from the greeting to the food to the view was amazing. The Beef Wellington was the best I have ever tasted! The owners were so friendly. We can't wait to go back!
The Food was AMAZING! I had the ribeye, which was perfectly prepared, with the most amazing mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes that have no business being as delicious as they were. My wife had the beef wellington, and it was phenomenal. It was her first beef wellington, and it may have ruined her for all other beef wellington anywhere.
The chef is obviously very talented. The sauces were incredible. The fish was excellent as was the steak.

I have to say I was expecting a very good dinner. But what we got was an extraordinary evening and dinner! We will be back to this gem, which easily holds up in a comparison if fine dining experiences around the world. Relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with 5 star service and food. And a dreamy view. I had halibut - absolutely perfect with the slightest hint of crisping and paired with fresh peas. Divine. The fish was buttery and perfect! My husband has the Beef Wellington , and we both kept wondering aloud “how on earth do they get the meet so tender and with a perfect temperature, which a beautiful pastry crust? Further research needed so we will be back as soon as we are able!

Great sunset view of the river!! The filet was excellent, my fiancee had the ribeye and she wished she had gotten the filet, I split mine and ate hers too! The scallop appetizers rocked and the creme brulee was perfect.

food was very good. it seemed like they had only one server, for all the dining guests. which made for slow service. also the background music was very odd for such fine dining, so much so that I am mentioning it on a review.

Our dinner was absolutely amazing! I ordered the Beef Wellington and salad and it was soooo good! My husband had the 30 day aged Ribeye. The seasoning on the Ribeye was so flavorful. The potato served with the Ribeye was the best potato we have ever had. It had a crispy outer shell with mashed potatoes inside. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great ambiance with exceptional meal made the Valentines Day dinner perfect! Beef Wellington was even better than I remembered! Social distancing was very well maintained.
The food was absolutely amazing! And the staff was even better! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The owner also makes sure he comes around and personally greets all guests. Will definitely eat here again.

We started with Beef Bone Marrow Bruschetta as an appetizer. It was excellent as was the bread and compound butter served with it. Our main courses were the Duroc Pork Chop with Butternut Squash Gash and the Beef Wellington. Both were excellent but the pork chop was the shining star. The Wellington was a touch over cooked and the beef was not quite the quality expected from such an excellent establishment. Unfortunately the dessert selection was limited and we were not interested in what was left. Overall a great experience while not quite as good as our last experience still great. We chalked the few negatives up to survival during Covid times and plan on returning with open minds and hungry appetites! Great work overall Goldmoor Inn and as well as to the owners Slobo and Birgit!

It was a very nice Thanksgiving meal. The staff was very attentive.
Food was hot, presentation good, seasoned well. Had to eat in our room due to current restrictions. Staff was extremely responsive, food delivered quickly. Table in front of a window overlooking the river. Sun was setting, very beautiful.

Our server was excellent. However My girlfriend ordered the Snapper. it was incredibly mushy and wouldn’t come off without all of the bones. Our server was very accommodating and offered to bring her something else. She ordered the filet which we of course had to wait to be prepared they change the price of the meal to the filet price and the fillet was rather grainy. The manager around the entire time made conversation with everyone but never came over to apologize for the unsatisfactory food or even offer us a drink or anything to accommodate for the wait that we had for the alternate meal.

We came to the Goldmore for dinner after our small elopement in Galena. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. All efforts for COVID era social distancing and masks were being followed which we really appreciated. I would definitely come back for a special occasion.

Food was ok compared to the price. We had a porch chop with a rice and red bean patti. The chop was good but the patti was cold and hard. Not moist as we would of expected.

My wife and I shared an appetizer and beef Wellington. The scallops were excellent and the beef Wellington was prepared to perfection. The dessert was an excellent crème Brule. Breakfast was French toast prepared to perfection by the innkeeper.

Goldmoor ...kind of pricy and food about average.
Waitress was not friendly...even abrupt at times. However the owner stopped by our table and we talked for a while which made up for it.
My wife loved her gnocchi however my red snapper was average.
