We offer restaurant or terrace (in the spring and summer) rentals for private parties and special events! Join us in our semi-private backroom that seats up to 18 guests. It is a very welcoming layout where two tables with 5 guests each surround one long table with 8 guests. Another layout features one long table of up to 10 guests for a cozier private affair. We also have an adjacent dining room that features our bar. This room accommodates up to 12 guests (2 tables with 6 guests each). We are happy to host cocktail hours in that room as well; up to 20 guests with comfortable standing room.

The food was quite good! Had a great deal of trouble finding the restaurant once we parked. Had to call the restaurant for instructions and even then still had trouble finding.

Gola is a GEM! We travel over an hour each way to dine at GOLA... and it is definitely worth it. We HIGHLY recommend GOLA.

Our server and waitstaff were great. The food was good, however for the cost you don't get anything. I was very surprised that my $26 chicken parmesan was just that. Literally a chicken breast with a little sauce and mozzarella. No salad, no pasta or side to accompany it. We paid $96 before tip, for tap water, 1 appetizer (sauce, ricotta and 2 fried mozzarella logs), a slice of lasagna, a piece of chicken and 1 dessert. While we did enjoy the atmosphere and staff was great, most likely won't go back just based on $ per what you do/don't get.

Other times we liked Gola, but this time it was totally disappointing. Nothing tasted fresh . The meat entrees were not good and the black pasta was cold and inedible.

We had a delicious meal! Do not miss the homemade pasta, it’s divine! The calamari was the best we’d ever had. Tender and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and the setting lovely. You walk into an apartment building, wondering if you’re in the right place. And this wonderful place awaits. I would highly recommend for an unforgettable dinner.

Disappointing Experience at Gola Osteria I really wanted to like Gola Osteria, especially given the great reviews and the lovely outdoor space—but unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. The food was just okay—nothing memorable or particularly flavorful, which was surprising given the price point and the hype. What really ruined the evening, though, was the service. Their payment system was down, so we paid in cash. We handed over $120, but received the wrong change because our bill was confused with another table’s. When I brought this to the waiter’s attention in an effort to correct it and still leave a fair tip, I was met with a dismissive “it’s whatever you say it is,” as if I were trying to pull one over on them. It was not only unprofessional, it was rude—and left a sour taste after an already mediocre meal. It’s a shame because the patio area is genuinely beautiful, but with subpar food and that kind of attitude from staff, I won’t be returning. There are much better places in Ithaca for both food and hospitality.
