What an elegant dining experience! The waiters are almost choreographed! Service was exquisite! Food was served fast, steaks done to perfection, Brussels sprouts were extraordinary and the overall feeling was "wow! This is what it's like to be a king! " BRAVO GIBSONS!!!

Hands down, best service that I have had in quite a while. Everyone welcomes you when coming in, staff is fast, efficient and great attitude. My steak was cooked wonderfully and tasted phenomenal. I will definitely return when I come back to Chicago!

This is my 3rd time eating at this restaurant and I make sure to stop here every time I travel to this area. It's convenient walking distance from my hotel. Twice I've ordered they ribeye sandwich which has been excellent. Instead of the fries it comes with, they substituted asparagus, and gave me a whole basket of it without charging it as a separate side dish. I also order a side salad, and once again they charge me $2.75 for a small side salad being ordered with dinner instead of a separate small salad. It's so nice to dine at an upscale restaurant that doesn't try to price gouge you just because you're dining at a fine restaurant. The amazing food, the very attentive and friendly staff, and them not trying to charge for every little thing is the reason why I choose to dine here every time I'm in town.

Our server, Ryan, was excellent. His service was prompt, friendly and on point. The restaurant was a little crowded as the tables are set extremely close together where we were sat. The tuna appetizer was phenomenal. I enjoyed the New York strip, however I'm not really big on having a heavy char on my steak which at Gibson's is the norm. Crab cakes were by far the best I've ever had. The manager, who seemed nice enough, stopped by very briefly and did not really seem to have time to for more than a few seconds with a quick how was everything, here's my card and he was gone. The desserts are ridiculous one could easily feed a family of four and that is not to say we didn't completely enjoy it. All in all a nice dining experience.

We celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary and enjoyed our first time dining at Gibson. This is an old school Chicago steakhouse with all the trimmings. We shared the Wedge salad. My wide had the Sea Bass which was delicious. I enjoyed the marinated skirt steak also very tender and tasty. We shared the cream spinach and twice baked potato. Of course the sides are so yummy and shareable. Don’t forget the carrot cake wedge which is a super slice of moist and sweet cake. It was an exceptional treat and we look forward more special occasions there.

Not quite right last night - desert was ok - and the steak really good but a little off on temperature. Service was good but it was a little off - brought out wrong appetizer but was gracious about it. Overall we enjoyed but it was just a little off from the usual standards.

Great meal, a little pricey, but it's a well known good steakhouse. I got the porterhouse, the other members of our party got the Chicago cut, which is a ribeye. We all got pepper crusted, which i enjoyed but some felt it was a little heavy handed. Overall, nice dinner. Spent about $600 for four people with drinks and three sides.

As always, Gibson’s exceeded our expectations. It was myself and my older friend, both women. We were treated so wonderfully. Not all restaurants in this category treat women with the same respect as men. The food was fantastic. My friend had soup and then we split the wedge salad, baked potato, creamed spinach and lobster. Attitude of waiter did not change even though we split our meal. Will definitely be returning!

You should be prepared for an expensive evening. We are traveling and wanted to treat ourselves to a good steak. We had NY strip and filet mignon, both of which were excellent and perfectly prepared. Sides are ala carte and we shared the double baked potato and cream spinach, the latter of which was just ok. We have to say we were very impressed with our waiter, Mark, who was all about making our dinner extra special

The food was amazing! I had the chicken sandwich for lunch an my husband had the hamburger patty with cheese an mushrooms, he can’t stop talking about it. I tryed it, an yes it was amazing , cooked perfectly an the mushrooms to top it of! It was great!

My dad and I went to this location for dinner. He had the WR cut steak and I had the Lamb. The WR chicago was very good but the lambs were average. If I am spending $78 for lamb, its got to be a lot better than what it was.

When I dine at an expensive steak house, I have high expectations that should coincide with the high prices. Unfortunately, I was disappointed at Gibson's. My Caesar salad had very little dressing or flavor. My bone in fillet had surprisingly a lot of gristle and lacked the flavor and tenderness of other fillets I've had at lower priced steakhouses. For a supposed Prime cut of meat, I was horribly underwhelmed. The side dishes were good and the carrot cake was great. But for a steakhouse and the price, I was disappointed. Sorry, Gibson's.

Nice place when you're in need of a great meal! Don did an excellent job waiting on us and made several good recommendations. I had the scallops - very tender and not overcooked. The place is very loud and hard to have much of a conversation, but in our case, the service and food took first place. Good job!
