Geronimo - New Haven
The bar, one of the largest and certainly the most unique in New Haven, offers over 500 types of tequila in addition to an extensive wine list and myriad top-shelf liquors. In winter, the expansive dining room, framed in slate and walnut complete with a leather wall, is warmed by an adobe fireplace (traditionally called a kiva). In the warmer months, the glass paneled wall, which offers a year-round view of Crown Street, opens up onto the largest patio bar and dining area in the region.

Really fun Mexican spot in downtown New Haven. The place has a nice outdoor space. Delicious Margeritas!. Both my and my wife's food was delicious and fresh. The guac was possibly the best I have ever had. Our server, Ari was incredibly efficient and informative, but she was also really charming and funny. Love this place.
As always food is perfect, ambiance is great! Love this place. Chef Franco is extraordinary
Great hostess - great waitress - well prepared food - amazing outdoor dining experience on patio
Overall the restaurant was great! Food was excellent, staff was helpful atmosphere was fun. Only 2 things I would caution people with: 1) even though I confirmed my reservation every time they texted/emailed me, they gave up my table when I showed up 10 minutes late due to difficulty finding parking. They were quite busy and they did still get us another table 10 minutes later, but I did find that kind of rude given how many times I confirmed the reservation 2) it was very busy and quite loud. Which is fine, but may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
Granted we went there on a Saturday night, so take these things with a grain of salt. Otherwise excellent and we would definitely go back, but when I return I will be more mindful to either go at a less busy time or plan to arrive early.
Amazing food! Especially the homemade guacamole!!!
Offended by request for printed menu. Vegetarian in party ordered mushroom burrito came out as pork. Had to wait for proper one. Party eating at different time. Pitcher of margaritas very good.
Very nice surprise for a last minute late night dinner. The food and service is very good, and the prices are reasonable. I’d definitely come back
My daughter and I came here many years ago and we’ve been looking forward to returning ever since, It did not disappoint! Don’t forget a side of yuca fries and tres leches for dessert.
My husband and I drive down from Middletown to eat here. The best guacamole EVER!!
Our favorite southwest restaurant in Connecticut!
Our favorite New Haven restaurant, especially when we go to College Street Music Hall. Always great food. Always great service. Love the outdoor tables.
Delicious food and great for outdoor dining on thr front patio
Service was friendly and conversational - loved that we weren’t rushed and stayed for hours! Mahi Mahi tacos and margaritas were amazing !
I think our server forgot about us for a bit. We had to ask someone to get him so we could place our food order. That said, once ordered, the food came out quick and was good. A bit pricier than I pre-COVID, but nothing out of the norm vs peers
Food and drinks were good. Service was not great at all. Our waiter never checked on us and disappeared for about 45 mins. The manager didn’t seem to care when told about it.
Service was fantastic. Best guacamole in Connecticut. Buffalo nickels were OK. Bacon was undercooked. Prices are a little high but overall a good experience. Way too dark in the establishment. You can't really see anything. Drinks were amazing - spicy blood orange margarita is the best around.
Great atmosphere, wonderful option for outdoor dining. Food was a little greasy but overall good with amazing tequila options.
Sunday brunch, restaurant less than 50%, party of 8 - staff seemed sufficient to my untrained eye. Drinks and apps were prompt, but wait staff didn't check in. After we finally ordered, the food took over an hour to arrive, and then had to chase her down for the check. Great concept, good food, great tequila menu, fun atmosphere. Could be Geronimo is still recovering from pandemic wait-staff shortage (benefit of doubt). Certainly hope this gets fixed.
Great drinks, great service and exceptional food!!
Parents weekend. We were in the patio at 12:15 and the music was so loud we couldn’t carry on a conversation.
Excellent service from bartender covering our table to assist the waitress. Very attentive but not intrusive. Food was excellent & fresh.
Food was great.. tables were a little to close to each other had to speak over the people next to us.. and found ourself yelling.. food was amazing! No complaints on food..
Our first time at Geronimo. Everything was excellent from the appetizers, to the main meal as well as the drinks. We didn't leave room for desert, but I'm sure that would have been great too. Great staff and experience. We will go back.
Reserved outside table. There are 2-3 outdoor booths. We were sat at the booth and told none of the table were available. When making reservation there was no option to select table or booth. I would suggest calling ahead if you need a table.
It was a perfect afternoon to have lunch outside and Geronimo’s is always my favorite place to eat on the patio.
great place , great vibe , I had a great birthday
Food and drinks are always fantastic! One of my favorite restaurants, I have never had a bad experience here!
Great food and the best margaritas!
Wonderful restaurant. Service and Staff were excellent
highly recommend going for brunch and ordering the steak ‘n eggs, will not disappoint
Pork chile rellenos were very good. The waitress was very nice
Our service was ok.
Waiter messed up one of our orders and did not take it off the bill
Absolutely love the restaurant and food was delicious
Amazing experience from the ambiance, drinks, food. Will definitely be back!
Loved the ambiance and I personally loved my dish. My husband thought the Mac and cheese wasn’t anything we couldn’t have at home but other than that I would definitely recommend!
The Waitress was very attentive, the food was well seasoned and flavorful-delicious in fact…but the food was tepid. I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t hot upon being served,
Everything was delicious and Kayla took great care of me and my family. Everyone was raving about the food, ambiance and service. We had the spaghetti squash bowl, enchiladas, tacos, green chili soup and guacamole. Can’t wait to go back!
Not rushed at all. Drinks were very good I had white Sangria anf my wife had a Portuguese white wine. Friendly staff.
Family went for a late lunch. We liked it. Service was maybe a little slow but very nice server. Food good.
I ordered the beer battered shrimp (very good) and rice with black beans (very good). My Shirley Temple tasted like warm seltzer, no flavor and my coke tasted like water with a splash of coke, not good or refreshing. First time there and would not go back
Food was good but the waiter’s service was very slow. He was not attentive to our table.
