We had the pork dish and pasta. Both were great. We were celebrating a birthday 🎂 and the flourless Chocolate cake with Cinnamon ice cream was fabulous and on the house. Very nice touch. Parking was free and next to the restaurant- great benefit for a downtown dining experience. I highly recommend Germantown Cafe.

We’ve had brunch here before and enjoyed it, but this was the first time we’ve been there for dinner. We both had the steak frites and we both left a lot of it, as the steak was pretty average. Lack of seasoning, a bit chewy - certainly not a quality cut of beef. The drinks were small but on the higher price side. Probably not going to rush back here for dinner. Generally, It was ok, but not 5 star worthy.

Food was generally good, I had the French Onion Soup, perfect. My wife had the Steak Frittes, the fries were cold and we had a hard time finding our server to ask for fresh fries, so we never did. I’d probably return again.

Our table of 8 turned into a table of 12 with last minute additions. They really accommodated us well, even though we were definitely rowdy. Every time I go I have a fantastic time.

We were seated about two feet from six drunk and loud twenty-somethings who had no idea or care about how loud they were. Eventually we moved one table over which helped but they were still disruptive. Near the end of our meal and a good thirty minutes after they paid, they were told they had reached their two hour max and asked to leave. In the meantime it was very hard to have a conversation at our table. I was disappointed that the restaurant did nothing to quiet them. Our server was great and the food was good, but we won’t go back.

We loved our dining experience! The shrimp and grits are outstanding! The service was excellent. My only complaint is the monkey bread was heated in a microwave, and it came to the table with tough pieces. Some parts were perfectly warmed, while others were scorching hot. Although the flavor is divine, or $14, this dish needs more care.

The service and food at Germantown Cafe was top notch! They were flexible with my reservation when I needed to move things around. The owner came over and checked on us twice throughout our meal. Highly recommend for a social or business lunch. The Asian Noodle Salad was incredible. Will definitely be back.
