   We had a light lunch before a show and enjoyed Genevieve’s very much. Our server, Sam, was fun and efficient.

   We have eaten at Genevieve’s at least 20 times. It is an elegant venue and very convenient when attending a play at the Peace Center. The quality of the food service has steadily declined over the past couple of years, and our dinner on April 26, was a final straw. Our capraese salad was half the size we were promised (just two tomato slices instead of four), Our Caesar salad was awful. Lettuce was wilted and the salad clearly had been prepared the day before. The pork ribs were very tasty, but we had to request steak knives to eat them. We did complain to the manager, who was very accommodating, comping us for the bad food, but we have decided to mark Geneviev’s off our list of places to eat. Too bad, since it is such a beautiful place.

   First time here and it didn’t disappoint I had the Caesar salad and lamb shanks and my husband had the fried green tomatoes and special which were braised pork. All were delicious. During the intermission we had a coffee and dessert which were great! They take your order early and it is waiting on you when you come out. The only issue is 20 minutes intermission isn’t long enough!!! We will definitely be back!

   We love eating at Genevieves's before a Peace Center Performance. Everyone treated us with utmost respect and kindness. The four of us enjoyed a great Pinot noir from Oregon. We ordered two fabulous appetizersthat we all enjoyed...Focaccia and a second, pimento cheese. Delicious. I think a serving device for the pimento cheese would have been helpful for a party of four...but we managed to serve ourselves without using a spoon or a fork that someone had eaten with. The small plates were also good...but I found the same problem that we have encoutered on a few other occasions...no one wanted brisket type pizza...this sounded like a generous serving. My husband and my friend each ordered the Caesar Salad with shrimp. I wish I had done the same thing. I ordered the fried green tomato caprese salad. I asked twice about the choice. No one ever said that is only a couple of small bites. It was very tasty. That was all I ordered for dinner; it was quite small. I was grateful for a bit of each appetizer. There are times when it is easy to find a good small plate that serves as an entre, but this caprese was not that plate. We will come again, I am sure.

   Food was mediocre. Very middle of the road. Drink had almost no alcohol.

   My husband ordered a Caesar salad and the tuna. He was only given the salad. I asked for the tuna and received the correct order. We waited and waited, but no one came around to ask us if everything was OK. Eventually we got the attention of a waitress and said that my husband did not get his order. The waitress had forgotten to put in his order for the tuna. I did not like the tuna, because it had too much horseradish. Since it was a Friday we expected more of a seafood choice. My husband said that we will not be returning to Genevieves because he had to wait a long time to receive the correct order.

   My dining selections were vg - the vodka mix cocktail showed well - the pork dish was good - the indicated pork pieces being a bit on the dry side did not reflect to truth - they were not terribly moist/but not terribly dry; however, given the dietary/culinary issues re: cooking pork to whitish interior & no pinkish coloring remained, they were good - coffee & dessert were vg as well...

   This was my first time at Genevieve’s. The venue was relaxing and very low keyed. The wait staff was very engaging, knowledgeable, and prompt. The menu was small, but delightfully delicious. Having the table for the entire show was unexpected but a unique feature of the venue. If you are planning on attending a Peace Center event, you should experience Genevieve’s.

    We ordered Caesar to be split and both ordered something else for after. The Caesar came out not split delivered to me at same time as my husbands entre. They took it back and brought out salad split. They then brought back husband’s entre but not mine. He was almost finished when mine finally came. Unfortunately I really did not like mine at all. It was a buffalo chicken panini. Wanted to order something else but wait person did not come forever. Next item I got was fig and prosciutto flatbread and so sweet could not eat, like straight sugar. Overall not a great dining experience. Also brought my second entree at same time as husbands dessert. Should have come out a little later. Timing is always a big problem there. Need to space out food as we have a long time before show. Have reservations again in a month and hope menu is different. Only thing we liked was the Caesar salad.
