It was Mother’s Day. Upon are arrival 15 mins early for our reservation we checked in and waited. There was a sign on the door that stated due to the holiday there will be no dessert served, which I thought was bologna. We than waited over an hour to be seated. When we were seated we were not even asked for a drink order for another 25 mins. When we did get the drinks and order our dinner it was once again an hour wait before the hibachi chef to finally appear at the table. They have many table in this location but it appeared there was only 5 chefs working. The entire experience was awful. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
First of all we had a reservation and still waited an hour to sit , but it was even funnier that because it was Mother’s Day they felt the need to jack up the prices & rush everyone through there meal and not offer dessert .. we spent a total of 3 hours 2 of them waiting to be seated and waiting for food . Won’t be going back any time soon
Food and atmosphere were very good, and chef was a fine performer.
Drinks had very little alcohol in them.
Terrible experience. So completely disappointed as this has been one of our favorite spots for Hibachi. We ordered Chickn Tempura and it was completely inedible. It was like eating rubber the chicken was NOT fresh! Also the restaurant was flooded and we asked for the pools of water to be cleaned up so none of our family members would slip and fall and nobody paid any attention to us. The bathrooms were also FLOODED.
In the past we had a great time, we usually make a reservation of 10 or more. The chefs usually entertain the guests, especially when there is children. However, this experience lacked the excitement we usually go for. The food was great, always is. However, the singing, the spatular/knife mini show, tossing broccoli, etc was nearly nonexistent. In addition, our group who ordered frozen drinks complained there was no alchol in them - paid $10 each 😣
Our Chef 👨🍳 was Very Good ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Table of 9 for my birthday - seated quickly. The chef was fun an entertaining food was tasty. Great service
Food was great. Had the Filet mignon. I asked for it to be cooked med. It was perfect. Service was great. Very attentive. Can't wait to go back. Thank you Gasho :-)
Awesome food was great chef was great too!
Food was great and worth what they charge however the ambiance and entertainment of this location has steadily declined over the years. I will definitely be considering other options in the future when thinking of hibachi dinner.
Poor service, food not so great. Definitely won't be back.
Beautiful place but needs to keep heat on during frigid temps our entire 12 per party were freezing also to add they need someone who understands English an Japanese to better accommodate,an also to get back there old sauce they used to use mixed iola was fantastic an they did not have it !!
Our chef Ben was excellent. It was my son's birthday He recognized him and he made it fun. The attendant and host who seated us were very nice as well.
Really disappointed in our recent experience at Gasho. The service was horrible, each time we ordered anything from the waitress the wait was over 30 minutes. The ladies bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Overflowed toilets, garbage everywhere - just horrifying. This place used to be so great which is why we returned for so many years, but no more.
waitress slow on service. everything else perfect
The parking lot had a rancid smell and I wish I had left on account of the smell. Unfortunately I stayed with family and friends for dinner. I got violently sick from the food. I felt sick very quickly after eating hibachi salmon and chicken.
First off we had three people who have celiac disease (gluten allergy). They did their best to accommodate us with gluten free soy sauce. The food was actually pretty good considering we couldn't have the salad or soup because it's already prepped with soy sauce. Our chef really didn't put on a show for us. He basically just cooked our food and was gone.
I been here many times a food is always great. I recommend this place to everyone I know. It's the BEST.
Great place to enjoy hibachi Japanese food!
Always a treat to watch the chef prepare the food and show off their skills. Filet mignon always great! Chef was very friendly and also very accommodating in keeping the dishes low salt for us.
Great food. Entertaining chef. Water glass was kept full. Little bits of food left on floor and edges of grill.
Family loved it. Memorable. Lots of flames right in front of us
I will never go back... that was the worst quality food and all the hibachi chefs acted like they were drunk.
This is better fit for a drinking crowd or kids birthday... they were friendly & entertaining, but too loud and abrasive for my taste and the food was sub par. The chicken I had tasted & smelled weird... the steak was overcooked.
For over $80 for 2 people that is totally unacceptable and a giant waste of my money and nerves frayed.
I will stick with Hotoke... they were amazing and Zagat survey rated...
This restaurant is great for Lunch or Dinner. Watching the oh so ever talented cooks prepare your food right in front of you is fun to watch. The cooks are personable and have great fun doing their job. You can just feel the energy from all of them. I love this place and I am always ready to go back there at any time.
The cook who served my table was very respectful of the couples that were seated. He kept the noise level to a minimum so we could enjoy each other's company while still entertaining. I wish I would have remember his name. The cocktails were delicious I recommend the Godzilla.
I didn't like the wait for the table even though I already had a reservation. I didn't like the wait for the food, which it was ridiculous. I did like my cook and the next table's cook. Although it seems only 2 cooks were funny and entertaining, i'm glad I dealted w both other ways this could've been disaster; I was already very upset for the waiting.
Food wasn't great & the wait time even with a reservation was pretty long. I wouldn't go back but I could see it being good for more of an intimate date.
Food was delicious. From the soup to the salad with ginger dressing to the hibachi...all flavorful...we loved our meals.
Nada bueno está muy tardado en todo el servicio.
Great time and delicious food! Had a great time with a group of 7 of us!
I have meant to visit this restaurant since I moved to the area. The hitbachi chefs are performers and the atmosphere is loud but it is such great fun. I would go again, the food was delicious and the sushi is wonderful
Met a friend I hadn't seen in a long time for dinner here. Didn't realize that it wasn't a regular Japanese restaurant with the normal variety of sushi and other cooked Japanese dishes. The food was rather tasteless. I would never go back.
I loved every minute of it. from the look, farmhouse style very friendly oriented. great service. it was my son's 8th bday and they allowed us to bring a cake and they cut it and sung happy bday with our family.food was great and great entertainment.
Wait time was ridiculous! Another party and my family were the only ones in the restaurant! It wasn't an enjoyable experience by any means. Food was mediocre at best, our overworked waitress made many apologies, tried to be as accommodating as she could be and was very friendly. She was the only one on, so we couldn't hold her accountable for the poor service.
No lunch on Sundays, did not honor coupon which had no exclusions on it. Poor business strategy right there. We walked out.
Very poor service and only 3 chefs for many tables.
I had an amazing time at this restaurant, and I promise my kids I will have them there all the time. The soup was great and the salad was very tasty. I had the mai Thai to drink that was awesome.
My teenage daughter likes steak and she likes the entertainment of them cooking at the table. The chef always try's to put on a little show and caters to the kids, which they like. We were a party of 8 and people had steak, chicken and shrimp. Everyone ate everything, no complaints. They always ask if there is a special occasion and they sing happy birthday so that Birthday teenager feels special. I highly recommend it especially for a group event with a celebration.
Had an awesome time. Our chef was really good and funny. We had our exchange student/daughter with us and she had the best experience. I highly recommend Gasho.
My husband and I have been wanting to try a Japanese steakhouse for the longest time. Since we were going to be in the neighborhood of Gasho's we decided to give it a go! It was wonderful! The chef "Toyota" was entertaining and watching him cook was just amazing. He gave us a couple "fire shows" and we all just laughed and laughed. We were 6 at the table, my husband and I and 2 other couples. Very friendly place.
