   First time here, what took us so long! Excellent sea bass and appetizer, they had only about 2/3 of their wine list that pm. will definitely go back, food tasted excellent, very flavorful.

   The food is excellent in quality and very creative. The Indian "touch" on decidedly non-Indian dishes is both surprising and very well done. One of the best meals we've eaten in a while.

   Garland is really a perfect restaurant. So comfortable and approachable, the staff is warm and helpful and the food is absolutely wonderful. Rich flavors and spot-on seasoning and execution.

   First, some context: My wife and I had been to Garland a while ago, and it was great. Absolutely delicious, perfectly prepared food. Nice ambiance. We considered it one of the finest restaurants in Raleigh and looked forward to returning . Unfortunately our most recent visit was quite disappointing. First of all, the room was overflowing -- not so much with diners, but primarily drinkers. Unpleasantly noisy. The food was nothing special. Don't know the reason for that; bad night, too big a crowd? In any case, our overall experience was completely different from the first time. Maybe a one time glitch. On the bright side, the sever was pleasant and professional, but that did not make up for the rest of the disappointing experience. If this is the new normal at Garland, I could not recommend this restaurant to a friend.

   Really good food, super chic ambiance. A little loud. Overall it was a good experience, but the service wasn’t great for how nice the restaurant is. It was slow, but that wasn’t what bothered me. I ordered the vegetable curry and when the waiter asked if I wanted it spicy or mild, I said spicy but my date wanted mild. He said he could bring some of the spicier sauce out for me so I could make mine hotter. When I got the bill, he’d charged me for that. Very strange and a little off putting, especially since the spicier version is the same price as the mild.

    Every dish was fabulous. I have an allergy to Mango and they provided me with a menu thAt crossed off the items with mango in it. Such a nice touch. Can’t wait to go back.

    We had a group of 3 and ordered 2 sharables and 2 large plates. It was waaay too much food for us but was incredibly delicious. I particularly want to shout out the Cauliflower 65 and the Tofu Rice Bowl.

    I had dinner with two friends for a birthday on Saturday night. The restaurant was busy but not too loud. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped steer us in the direction of some excellent choices. We ordered six small plates to share and it was definitely enough food for the three of us. The prices were reasonable and we were all happy with the experience overall.     We have lived in Raleigh 8 years and while it seems there are a ton of good places to eat and plenty of places that get notoriety, this place deserves them all. From the moment we walked in the service was top notch. We were able to grab a drink at Neptune’s, which has an old school eclectic vibe we loved. Once our table was ready, our server was on top of everything but never once seemed overbearing. The food, oh man...I don’t even know where to begin with the food...every bit that we stuffed into our mouths was tasty and prorated perfectly. When you go out to eat and it happens to. E a place that everyone and their brother is talking about..you are reserved, thinking it can’t really be THAT good...I’m here to tell you it IS. The cauliflower 65, Moroccan hummus, catch of the day, corn cakes and greens...all of it was top notch. I would recommend Garland again and again...the accolades are spot on!

    We were a little worried coming because their menu only had vegetarian options. Our server was awesome though and brought out a menu that she had written on with all of the vegan options. We had a very yummy meal and will be coming back!

    So so good. Can't wait to go back. My wife and I split everything and were quite full. Amazing veggies - Brussels sprouts, the 65 cauliflower!! I could have had nothing but THAT. Delicious panna cotta dessert, somewhat rustic and free-form. A lively atmosphere, engaging service. Very highly recommended!

    What a fantastic restaurant! Food was exciting with majestic creations from the chef, fusing Indian with spectacular local farm veggies and local seafoods. Moderate prices for starters and entrees prices under $25, yes under $25. Wine list offerings are outstanding in quality and price. Wait staff professionals trainesd and attentive to detail.     We were a party of four and tried five different items. They were all delicious. The small platters were generous enough for each of us to have a sampling. Two of us tried house specialty cocktails which we enjoyed. We will definitely go back.

    I had eaten here for lunch with my co-workers, I was impressed how good the food was. So I came back for dinner as an anniversary gift for my husband. To my surprise, much of what was ordered felt heavy and saturated with oil. The shrimps had their shells so most of the flavor was left as you stripped the shell off. The cilantro and the rest of the vegetables that was in the shrimp dish could have been squeezed in a shot glass so it was crunchy, good seasoning but then you had to swallow the considerable oil it was sautéed in. That was not very pleasant. Ordered a pork rice bowl. There was an egg on top, the egg white was not cooked through and the dish overall was heavy and pasty. My husbands experience was the same as mine unfortunately. He then came home with a belly ache! I did taste what he had and had no effects on me. The service was great and we did mention some of the things here and they were very kind and tried to make it a good experience but I was truly hoping for a better experience but, we won’t be returning.
