Inventive tasting menu. Solid service. Beautiful ambiance.
Food is great especially pork, sesame ball foie gras and chocolate of course!!!! And highly recommend if you need to bring baby! Their space is very family friendly! Waiters are sooo sweet!
Who knew a French restaurant would have us walking away with our bellies full and saying... Wow, that was actually a great value. But we did!
The Gabriel Kreuther's Heritage Tasting Menu filled both my wife and I, per-theater as we celebrated our wedding anniversary. The meal started off with several sea based plates and then was capped off with amazing (and generous) cuts of duck breast, followed by a wide array of chocolate deserts. The atmosphere is open, modern and gorgeous, while the service is warm and friendly. Definitely deserving of 2 Michelin Stars (maybe 3!).
We highly recommend Gabriel to anyone dining in Midtown for a special occasion.
Great service and delicious food. I’ll come again.
Most wonderful experience in every way. Sommelier choose perfect wine. (Not any easy task) The ambiance was lovely. My taste buds were intrigued. The pork loin flight was magnificent. Truly the experience of a lifetime
Amazing service, great food creativity and wonderful wine pairing. Louis was amazing and the sommelier was wonderful.
Meal was excellent but far too long which took away from the experience. Over 4 hours and the staff didn’t seem to sense how we were ready to go
A memorable experience. Extraordinary food beautifully prepared and presented. Clearly the product of a deeply involved, talented and creative chef. Maybe one of the finest dining experiences available in New York. A big plus is it’s central location between Times Square and Grand Central Station. That said, it is profoundly expensive.
Such an outstanding meal. Every little touch was considerate and delicious. Made our anniversary feel that much more special and romantic. Gabriel even signed a note saying happy anniversary. Just perfect. Oh and the “convivial” drink was maybe the best cocktail I’ve ever had.
The food, the service, and the ambience were, quite simply, marvelous!
great experience again, i will be back in october with the wife
Outstanding dining experience. Top5 in my lifetime. The service was impeccable and the food was heavenly.
Food and service were excellent as always. When taking everything into account, our favorite restaurant in New York City. Sam took excellent care of us with wine selections once again. Can't wait to come back!
This restaurant just gets better and better. They used to have a 4-course prix fixe, but I always preferred the longer Tasting Menus, to really appreciate the breadth of what the kitchen can do. Now they only have Tasting Menus. The wine pairings are always interesting and innovative. And the setting is elegant without too much noise.
Outstanding meal and presentation. Tried this restaurant during restaurant week and was so impressed, I will add it to my regular rotation. Bravo!
Great food and great service! We had the smaller of the two tasting menus and it was than enough food. I liked the way they mixed the smaller courses with the larger ones. Timing of the service was perfect. Dinner took about 2-1/2 hours and we never felt rushed nor did we ever feel like we were waiting. This is amongst the best restaurants that we have been in and highly recommended for a special occasion.
Birthday dinner for wife the knowledgeable staff tried to make the occasion memorable
Gratis personalized birthday desert was very nice
This is one of my favorite restaurants in New York. Everything about it is impeccable.
Wonderful dining experience. Cordial and knowledgeable staff about menus. Food and presentation extraordinary. ! Highly recommend.
Only complaint is the tasting took 4 hours. I did not expect this. Food and service was great
Excellent food and service. Though it's a hefty price tag per person, for the amount of thought and planning put into the menu, it's definitely well worth it.
We went for my son's 29th birthday - he lives to cook and has become his
own mini chef.
The night started with a beautiful birthday note signed by Chef Kreuther himself
and got even better when we were lucky enough to sit in the Kitchen and watch
The cuisine was as beautiful to look at as it was delicious to eat. Each course was
a masterpiece and the servers could not have been more gracious or knowledgeable.
A truly wonderful evening we wont' forget.
this was my first time here and not only was the food and service amazing but as a solo diner it is not always the most comfortable atmosphere. The service team went out of there way to ensure that i had a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this to anyone traveling alone or in a group and i will definitely return in the fall. you do not always get what you pay for in a high end restaurant but i left feeling very satisfied for the money spent and will gladly do it again.
Foods are so so, somlier’s wine selection was awful. We ended up selecting by ourselves, which was much better.
The service was excellent, but I had a different dessert than the others, and also got only 2 chocolate bags even though we were 3 people. The higher price set menu was filled with bread and cheese, not worth selecting that. Go with lower package which still I think too pricy.
It was simply incredible
Amazing service, food is very creative but flavours could improve a a little. Unforgetable experiencie.
problem meal takes too long. over 3 hours is very very very bad, the long time to some extent makes the whole experience not that good
Thats was a wonderful dish and service! I highly recommended.
they did a wonderful job of making me feel celebrated on my birthday - nice note and extra dessert.
Our server and food was incredible
Amazing we are coming back
My first experience with a tasting menu. Out of this world. If you can stomach the price, it is worth every penny. My SO and I spent 5 hours there and loved every second. Everything from the service to the food was perfect, and what I’d expect from a 2 Michelin Star restaurant.
An exquisite place. Will cost you a preety penny of two if you're gonna do it right though!
My lunch at Gabriel Kreuther was memorable. I arrived early, and sat at the bar. Exactly at the time of my reservation was I seated at my table. The personal touches of a hand written note congratulating my friend (reason for our lunch) were not unnoticed. The food was very good. I have eaten at higher-end restaurants with slightly better flavor combinations, but the food was well prepared and thought out. If you are looking for a great spot for lunch near Bryant Park, this is the place for you!
We went for our anniversary the food and service was exceptional, everybody we came into contact with could not have done more and we were even given a delicious cake. Thank you for making a memorable day.
Loved every part of our evening from the 12-course tasting menu to the exceptional service.
Upscale but not down-the-nose service. A modern and cool vibe to both the restaurant and the food. Beautiful plating, appropriately sized portions, and care put into every part of every dish. We enjoyed each dish but the duck and the foie gras really stood out.
We used to think this restaurant was one of the best in a New York but no longer. There is no choice anymore just two price fixed options without any choices on the part of the diner. No document is provided as to what will be served. Unfortunately I am not always willing or interested in eating what the chef wants to make. It would have been nice to know ahead of time, for example, that rabbit was one of the courses. Instead I spent $245 on a meal that included a meat I do not eat so one course was a total waste of my money. And, the service was subpar. I also do not appreciate it when, even though everyone is expected to participate in the same tasting menu, the same food is not served to everyone at the table. Maybe I want the preparation given to my guest. Maybe I want the chocolate dessert. The servers decide who gets what. Ridiculous. This change in the menu is simply an attempt to maximize profits and control the purchasing of the food by leaving less to chance. Will never go back.
Food was so so.
Excellent for any occasion.
