Erie's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
The food was very good, the wine and sangria were great. Service could have been better. I asked for a pint of wedding soup to go and then later ordered lasagna to go as well. The waitress only gave me a cup of the wedding soup and didn’t include a salad with the lasagna order. I wanted the soup for my husband who is recovering from surgery so that was a big disappointment. The waitress acted very accommodating but fell short in taking care of us in a timing manner as well. Additionally, there was a family of four near us and the 2 year old was very badly behaved, screaming over and over and throwing tantrums. The parents should have taken her away from the table for awhile but I believe they probably don’t discipline their children at all. MoreOpenTable Diner -
If you like a great meal with a wonderful view, the shores of Lake Erie will certainly enhance your quality dining experience. This city of just under 100,000 people offers a wide variety of foods, including Latin, Italian and American cuisine inside an old rail car. No matter your preference or hunger level, Erie has plenty of options. Dedicated carnivores will be thrilled to note a selection of barbecue joints, and seafood aficionados will be delighted at the range of options. Looking for something simple and portable? Dive into Smith's hot dogs, which are served at several dining locations. You can order these and store them in your freezer for when you just have to have one. Finally, be sure to save room for a sweet serving of frozen custard.
