Diners' Choice Winners: Best Overall
Huntsville's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
My wife and I pass through Huntsville, AL 3-4 times a year on our way to and from New Orleans. We always look forward to a dining "event" at Cotton Row. The cocktails are good, excellent wine list, and the meal prep and service are outstanding. I'd recommend any of their fish dishes. My recent sea bass was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Deserts are a must! MoreOpenTable Diner -
We reserved a table at Grille 29 for our 10th wedding anniversary this week. When we got there I barely mentioned my name before we were whisked over to a very private table surrounded by 6 foot walls. Our menus were waiting on the table along with a "Happy Anniversary" card signed by several of the great folks at Grille 29. When my wife opened the card there was an unexpected $10.00 gift certificate inside. Our waiter was wonderful. Very attentive, willing to offer great advice and even checked with the cook on one of our orders for substitutes. After realizing that several of his recommendations were perfect, we followed all of his recommendations for the dinner. We could not have been more pleased at Grille 29 making our special night even more special. I've always enjoyed meals here and I intend to have many more. You can't go wrong with Grille 29. Huntsville is teeming with historic districts and excellent museums, like the US Space & Rocket Center and the North Alabama Railroad Museum. Spend a day exploring these sites and strolling through their historic neighborhoods, and then enjoy the delicious and authentic cuisines available in the Hunstville area. The city offers many seafood dishes like lobster dip or jumbo shrimp cocktails, and a wide range of local restaurants offer gluten-free options as well as vegan and vegetarian choices. However, you can also find a lot of traditional American dishes like hamburgers and French fries. If you’re looking for specialty plates, try delicacies like a Mexican quesadilla plate, a Greek grilled chicken breast with roasted vegetables or a local favorite like Southern-fried catfish.
