Food was so good and affordable. I didn't like one of the rolls and was offered another one no charge. I didn't expect it to be free, we took a gamble and didn't like the dish. I would have had no problem paying for it but loved the offer. That's great business model. We will be back for the food, so good!
Always a spectacular experience! I love seeing whats new on the exotic fish menu each time I go in. Quality, flavors and service always on point. One warning however, Full moon will ruin you forever! Highly recommend!
Amazing service called me to make sure I was still going for my reservation for my girlfriend birthday day dinner. Amazing food great prices as well and the location was awesome walked to the club right after dinner will be back soon !
Full Moon Sushi far exceeded my expectations with the incredible quality of the choices on the menu, the service and entire atmosphere. If excellence is a core value, Full Moon is achieving that with great success. Highly recommend!
Excellent service and food! Eclipse roll My favorite!! I went to dinner with my girlfrien without expectations, and it turned out to a great experience and great time. Would recommend this place to everyone.
Great fresh fish. High quality all around, the fish sparkled and the roll I had, no rice with lots of fish, was perfect.
A diverse menu with plenty of fresh options from raw to cooked. The server was very helpful with our selection of small plates which included the temporato provide our taste buds a
Service was lacking. While our server was nice, the pace of the entire meal was very slow, there were too many cooks in the kitchen and poor execution. The flow of the serving was ridiculously slow. There was another table that ordered a few minutes ahead of us, but our food was served 20 minutes later, and the delivery time between each item was not timed well, more than 20 minutes for a couple of the items. Taste of the rolls we ordered was ok, nothing to celebrate about for that price point. Very disappointing, especially when the reviews seemed to give this place high remarks.
Incredible! Some of the best sushi I have ever had. Staff had great knowledge on all of the menu items and did a great job making recommendations on their fairly large list if saki. Made for a great date night spot!
Their exotic fish options were top notch and the service was excellent. Highly recommend for omakase lovers as well
Decor was hip and food delish! The Garlic Edamame is a must!
Food and service are consistently great - definitely one of my favorite sushi spots in San Diego. Quality of the fish is top-notch.
What a great find. I had been to several others before I found the one I would return to over and over again. We will be back at the end of June and am already looking forward to it👍
The sushi was delicious and service waa great. Norma was a rockstar
Fantastic food and service. The garlic edamame has got to be the best I’ve ever had.
Very attentive service and welcoming atmosphere. The food was great- nice presentation, fresh, and the kitchen was whipping our orders out fast! The only m'eh feedback I have is that the music was slightly too loud for the time of evening with the amount of people in the restaurant. This was our first experience at Full Moon, and we will definitely be going back again!
Best meal I’ve ever had!!
Always a great experience!
The sushi was very fresh with innovative rolls. I loved the atmosphere!
Full Moon Sushi Kitchen was exactly what we were looking for. Small enough to feel intimate but large enough so there’s seating when you need it. The sushi was too shelf. It reminded us of Nobu as far as presentation/quality for a fraction of the price.
The waitress was ok, Ii think she could have paid more attention to us but it might have been that she had too many tables. The sushi took way to long to get to the table and very spread out. Also the sushi wasn't that great, it didn't taste as fresh or tasty in general like other sushi places. We weren't all that impressed and won't be returning.
Another superb dining experience at Full Moon! My guest, who had never previously been here, was most impressed and likewise pledged to return! The food selection was varied and everything we ordered delicious. The entire team, from front door to tableside service, was friendly, efficient and professional. Jairus, as usual, absolutely rocked - he is among the very finest servers my wife and I have ever encountered!! Looking forward to our return visit - soon! Keep up exactly what you are doing - it's a true recipe for fine, eclectic dining in a casual, hip atmosphere with professionals who really appear to enjoy what they are doing!
This place was amazing. Definitely the best sushi place I’ve been to in SD so far. Their fresh nigiri was to die for. Blew my mind how good it all tasted.
The rolls were delicious (particularly the warm full moon!), and the seafood fresh. Next time we are in San Diego we will go back.
Excellent and fresh sashimi. Seaweed salad great. Salmon skewers yum. Could have more beer choices. Mochi delish and they comped it for Birthday - nice! Only real complaint is that we could smell cigar, cigarette, and weed smoke while we ate from passer by's and folks lingering outside. Close the doors?
Great food and presentation
Always enjoy coming back to their attentive service, impecable fresh selection of items and friendliness of the chefs at the sushi bar. The exotic platter was top quality, their seared toro with yuzu pepper paste is a must every time my wife and I go.
The service was friendly and not pushy at all. We sat at the table for a few hours and enjoyed a great meal and had a few drinks. The setting was pleasant, we were able to talk all night without feeling like we were talking too loud or like it was too quiet where everyone else could hear our conversation. Overall i would recommend Full Moon as a great place to sit and enjoy the company of others
The food was excellent, especially the special rolls, spicy tuna classic roll and fatty tuna nigiri. It was also great to have the beef skewer as an option. As good as the food was, the service was even better...excellent all arou d
I was pleasantly surprised by everything about this restaurant. The sushi rolls were large enough that my date and I were satisfied sharing only two along with an appetizer. The service was very prompt taking our order, serving us, removing plates, and bringing the bill. We were in and out in under and hour. I'm looking forward to returning soon.
Incredibly fresh, incredibly delicious sushi. Wait staff was so accommodating and helpful; our waitress was great at recommending dishes to try. We sat outside. Ambiance was great.. Would definitely recommend this place.
Nice selection of very fresh fish. Knowledgeable server
The freshest sushi ever. So amazing!
Good except we sat at one of the four tables outside and the server did not check on us very often. I had to ask three times for Tamari before it was brought out. Staff was friendly when we saw them.
This reminder to leave a feedback sat in my inbox for two months as I wanted to make sure I put aside enough time.
December 17th last year, I made a reservation on the fly for four of us planning a nice sushi dinner for my girl's birthday. I arrived last so they were already seated by the time I arrived. The ambiance is cozy yet modern, if a bit heavy on the decorative lights.
The seating is a bit unusual owing to the elongated layout of the restaurant. We were sat on a four- top with one side lined with plush bench.
After we were seated, we waited for a server to order drinks. Then we waited... and waited... and waited. In fact, it was about twenty minutes before they ever took our drink order. Then we waited some more... and waited... and waited. We were actually thinking about leaving when half of the drinks arrived, but without apology. I understand that a downtown establishment may be a bit busy during the evening rush hours, but at 8pm?
Then the busser, for unknown reasons, took all the plates while we were eating. When we protested, no apology.
By the time we got our food, we'd already been there for little under two hours. Not only were we famished by then, but they were getting ready to close! Although it was a birthday dinner, we devoured our food due to the fact that, not only were we famished by then, but also because the server stood just a few feet away, loudly cleaning and staring at us.
The food is acceptable, certainly not deserving of a lengthy, adjective- laden review. The garlic edamame was what stood out to all four of us, if that explains the mediocrity of the entrees.
Then came the check. Party of four, two drinks each, one entree each plus one to split: $480. Wow. I paid without complaint as it was, as stated in beginning, my girl's birthday and we were already unhappy.
Would I recommend Full Moon Sushi for a night of drinks? Sure. For a nice dinner? Absolutely not. Save your money and blood pressure and go to a real sushi restaurant.
Was a wonderful meal, extremely fresh and innovative
AMAZING SUSHI- it was a true experience and I can’t wait to go back!!! (Special thanks to our server Norma)
The sushi was very very good! I enjoyed in particular the bluefin tuna sashimi and the toro nigiri, they were outstanding!
Good selection of craft cocktails, cool ambience and great service!
I definitely recommend it
Great staff, fast and delicious. Didn’t feel rush to leave either. I would come back!
The sushi is excellent and the server was helpful in recommending some things. She was patient as we had our 9 month old dining with us. Overall a great meal!
