Fun place with a neat vibe. Service was excellent. We will be back.
Try it. You will not be disappointed. Omakase FTW
Food was great, customer service was great , nice environment,2nd time coming back and meet all the expectations just like the forts time ,great place worth the 1 hr. Drive
This restaurant was great! Food was delicious and service was awesome. Most definitely going to return.
Modern decor, awesome sushi (the chef had some unique presentations)
Amazing sushi! I ordered full moon sushi and I was just speechless. It tasted so fresh I would def go back there! It just became my favorite sushi spot! My fiancé ordered California and shrimp tempura also very delicious and tasty. Great alcohol selection as well. Tokyo mule was delicious.
Great ambiance and decor, excellent service, extensive menu of delicious food. We ordered sake sashimi, a Blue Moon roll (without sauce), and the filet mignon followed up with mango and chocolate mochi. Everything was excellent.
Sushi was fair to average nothing to make me want to come back
Excellent food and the service was great! Staff is very friendly and offers recommendations. Try the “Third Quarter Roll” you wont be disappointed. We enjoyed the restaurant so much we went back two nights later for dinner again.
I travel all the time for work, and this is now probably one of my top favorite places. I’ll definitely be coming back here. Food was amazing -eclipse roll did not disappoint- and the service was impeccable. Also, I never had Mochi before and now I’m in love! Thanks for a great dining experience!
Wonderfully knowledgeable staff. Found was outstanding, and was brought out quickly. Seemed like a fairly busy place.
Our server Jared/Jarod was outstanding, we’ve been fortunate have been served by several other times, and I would recommend requesting his station when being seated.
Worst service we’ve ever had anywhere. Our server ruined our entire evening
Good food and ambiance. The wine could be better. The Pinot wasn’t great. The food was very fresh and very flavorful.
Great selection of fresh fish. You can’t find these fish else where. We love Kurodai, Gindara and Madai.
This place was great for an out-of-town foodie! We enjoyed the sushi and the peach ski. The staff was excellent, helpful and accommodating. Thanks for making my San Diego visit complete!
Birthday celebration! Perfect evening
Great sushi. Very fresh and different flavors. We loved the ambiance. Very vibrant and the Halloween decorations were real cool. They has a personal menu printed out for my daughter with her name and a happy birthday message on it which was a great personal touch. I would definitely go back with friends and family. We were also pleasantly surprised of the reasonable prices, affordable bill.
Terrible service. Average food. Overpriced. I would not recommend this restaurant.
The company we were with were amazing.
Food was fine but overpriced. Seating was uncomfortable with tables very close together and two larger round tables (not for seating) blocking the path purposely for some reason—that required guests, servers and bussers to maneuver between and around the table while carrying food/belongings in an already crowded space—strange.
Amazing food and an even better staff!!
This is some of the best and freshest sushi places with a delightful presentation by Kevin. Highly recommended.
The sushi was absolutely delicious. The staff was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. They really made us feel like family.
This was my second time here. This time with my wife. Very small place with lovely ambiance. For our anniversary we were treated to personalized menus and a wonderful dessert. Sushi was as good as I remembered it. Also, definitely recommend the crab cakes. My wife is from Maryland and was very impressed. I had the sake flight which was a nice combination of selections. Highly recommend the shaved ice pear raw oysters. These had the perfect mix of flavors, including a little jalapeño for heat. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Food and Service was awesome. We were celebrating an anniversary and they had cute menus that said happy anniversary on top and and a special dessert at the end. The downside is that have big TVs playing sports. It definitely takes away from the cool decor and atmosphere. A trendy Asian fusion/sports bar? A little strange but overall awesome.
Always an incredible dining experience. Great service. Delicious food.
To start off the food was good. We enjoyed everything that we purchased on the menu. It was loud but I did not expect for it to be quite. It was a lot of groups in restaurant and had the perfect seating for conversations.
Good, diverse menu with fast attentive service. Stands out in the area of tourist traps.
Food was ok. Started with oyster app. Only 4 oysters for $22, but they were fabulous...wished there were more. For $22, should be at least 6. . First sushi roll I liked most, other 2 were ok at best. Wife preferred other 2 rolls. Overall, decent dinner, but a lot of other places to try. It was an early dinner and as we left we saw the restaurant next door was having $1 oysters for happy hour, so I'd have done that had I known beforehand.
Superb dining experience for 3 guests who joined my wife and me. We had a table reservation, and were were greeted at front door in a friendly manner, and promptly and professionally escorted to a lovely table. Jennie was our server - professional, kind, knowledgeable, efficient and patient with our group, members of which ordered different items at different times! Service, food, and sake choice were awesome! Thanks - we’ll be back!
Some of the best sushi I have eaten outside of Japan. Very original menu.
Amazingly fresh sashimi! Excellent service with an an easy going attitude and classy ambiance! If I lived in San Diego, I’d definitely be a regular! The wild king salmon and bluefin tuna sashimi/nigiri were a couple faves! Also, the seared albacore with crispy onions and the miso cod were stand outs!
We will be back.
Order was incorrectly delivered and had to wait for things like ginger and water to be replenished
By far, the most outstanding Sushi Restaurant in San Diego. Limiting these chefs under the term 'Sushi' is a disservice. Very creative menu and my only regret is my wallet wouldn't let me try each and every one of their creations. Even the 'simple' things.....I order a 2nd round of their seaweed salad....like no other I've ever experienced. Simply outstanding
Absolutely amazing everything. We had the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rise, Third Quarter, Half Moon, Spicy Tuna Roll, Waning Gibbous, Eclipse, Shrimp Tempura Roll and edamame. The Kurasawa Nigori Sake is the smoothest I've ever had and for a much sweeter sake the Coconut Sake they have is also good. Highly recommend the eclipse, third quarter, waning gibbous and half moon. The others were also exceptional in that they have very good cuts of fish throughout their menu.
We went for a birthday dinner, just my daughter and me. The prices were a little high. Our appetizers we superior to our specialty rolls. In the back corner was a couple with a chihuahua type dog that kept barking and begging for food. Super annoying but I’m sure the employees were between a rock and a hard place. Everyone cries service animal nowadays even when it clearly wasn’t!
My husband and I are visiting San Diego and chose this restaurant based on good reviews. It was a Tuesday night and it was packed- I guess because the food is so good. However, it took us an hour and a half to get all of our food. I was served both of my rolls and my husband was sitting waiting for his for over an hour. Not a great experience.
