Delicious food, farm to table with mostly local ingredients.
Wonderful place for our birthday celebration. Our waitress was fantastic! The food was superb! We will definitely be back when in Western NC!!
The chef here has put his time during lockdown to good use! The new summer menu features new and creative dishes, served with flair.
Great food and service! This was our anniversary dinner and Kim was our server. She was exceptional! We will definitely eat here again when we are in Waynesville.
Not just because it was our first outing in 3 months, and our expectations were very high; they succeeded in exceeding our expectations. Very good practice of social distancing. The service was friendly and our server didn't need reminding about anything we asked. My first and BEST succotash with seared scallops. They had run out of our first choice for dessert, but the substitute that we weren't told of until we learned the first choice was not available, was beautiful and wonderful. How did they whip that up so fast?
Waynesville is so fortunate to have good restaurants to choose from.
As usual, the food and service was superb. FLPH is my favorite restaurant...ever!
Great food and service, as always!
The food was ok and our server was attentive. However, the lady at the front desk was rude and ruined our experience. We had reservations and arrived early. Even though they clearly had several tables open, she asked us to wait outside and come back at the reservation time. I requested her to call or text when our table was ready, but she said she has not way of doing that (even though there was a phone right there at the desk which could be used to make calls, I assume!) When we returned, she was not at the desk but inside the restaurant (with a clear line of sight), saw that we had returned but didn't come to seat us for several minutes. Just rude. The restaurant itself is very noisy and doesn't make for a relaxed dining experience.
The chef is talented and creative. He has the best culinary instinct in the county. I do not understand why he does not do lunch anymore, and open more than 3 days a week right now. He needs to cash in on his talent.
This is a hidden gem...When near a Waynesville a must for some fine dining in a relaxed setting...Great food!!! Cannot go wrong and will not be disappointed...
The food, service and ambiance were perfect. Every meal we have eaten here was a memorable experience!
So glad we were able to eat here on a recent visit to Waynesville. Second time we’ve been there and absolutely had a wonderful meal. We are foodies so from beginning to end Everything was great. I had the trout and my husband the shrimp and grits. Started out splitting a Salad with Topped with pastachio encrusted goat cheese. Wanted dessert but too full. Next time. We also sad at the bar and watched all the meals being prepared which was fun. Last of all the wait stuff were attentive, friendly and knew the menu. Can’t wait to go back!
This is our favorite restaurant. The food is always extraordinary. The staff was very aware of keeping all of the diners safe.
Good experience for a grand opening night. Service was attentive, but food was slow to come out. 3 hour dinner. Beats being rushed, though. Food was very good in general. Pork chops were overly salted, perhaps over brined. Great ambiance. We’ll be back
Love this restaurant! We have been several times and have always enjoyed our food! My favorite waiter is Nevil! He is extremely knowledgeable with the menu and wine choice! He has never steered us wrong!!!
We had a really pleasant evening at the Leap, much like previous visits. Neville was “smoovah” as per usual helping us with menu and drink suggestions. The strawberry semifreddo consommé was a memorable dessert. The Leap is a local treasure.
Ditch the frying pans. Poor presentation. Can’t distinguish the food. Too dark.
Amazing farm to table fresh local food, crafted and put together perfectly from Chef Kaighn and staff! Wonderful wait staff, catered to all of our needs above and beyond. Pristine environment for a nice intimate culinary experience. Whether Republicans it’s a first date, anniversary, or just a night out on the town. Will return when I can many more time!!!
Always good, unusual menu, great service , fairly expensive , very loud
We loved it nice cozy atmosphere. Service was good. Good Martini though the run out of the Tito’s . Good other choices.
We got 2 starters salad with goat cheese. Delicious. And the pork belly in a bun Asian style presentation was beautiful and flavors fabulous. Dinner was the chop which we shared and served with collard greens again wonderful flavors .would definitely visit again they also have a beautiful bar in a separate area .
For us, the best restaurant in Waynesville area. Great food and service, good wine selection
Truly innovative and delicious every single time we've gone. This time I had scallops on truffle cauliflower puree with a hash of roasted butternut squash, brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Just yum.
Double date. Devils on Horseback always a favorite of mine. Brussel sprout appetizer was different and delicious. Fries always extra crispy and amazing with truffle oil and Parmesan. Tuna small plate perfect dinner for me. Scallops were the table favorite entree. Service was great. Wine recommendations perfectly paired with food. Thank you!
FLPH is always a wonderful experience as food and service are exceptional. Alittle pricey so save visiting there for special occasions. Highly recommend!
We continue to love Frogs Leap. Food is excellent, service perfect and we’re always treated kindly and with respect.
Wonderful as always!! Our favorite place to dine in WAYNESVILLE!!
Twice being served by Kara, she completed a great meal and will always ask for her.
Absolutely delicious. Wonderful staff.
We discovered this gem last autumn and had a wonderful meal at the bar because the restaurant was full. Tonight we had a wonderful meal again.
Kim was a wonderful waitress with great enthusiasm, attention and recommendations.
Although a good drive from Hendersonville it is worth the trip!
We always enjoy this restaurant. Wait staff are excellent and good is great and the menu regularly changes so you don’t get bored with the choices. Great cocktails and wine list. We love the devils in horseback and they have the best truffle fries I have ever had. Seafood is great. Also the pork chop but you can’t go wrong with any of the entrees.
We love this restaurant!
It is always a pleasure dining here! The food is consistently excellent (nice range of choices) and the service is impeccable! (Especially N - as professional a server as we have ever encountered and have eaten in a lot of restaurants throughout the U.S. and Europe over the years). We drive 40 minutes one way just to eat here!
Very good, creative food. Excellent presentation. Service was a tad slow, waitress may have been new.
Would dine there again.
Incredible NYE dinner. Have dined here numerous times and always loved this place but this meal was the best yet hands down. Perfect last meal of 2019.
Although we made our New Year's reservation quite far in advance, we only received notice 4 days ahead of the date telling us that the menu was now prix fixe and would be $75 per person. Since it was too late by that time to make a reservation anywhere else, we didn't say anything about cancelling. The $75 included 5 courses for $65 and a glass of champagne for $10 (which I don't drink because it makes me ill and which we neither ordered nor wanted). We didn't realize that the champagne was included in the fixed price until after my husband ordered a glass of wine which he promptly cancelled when the champagne arrived - our waiter brought the wine anyway....
The food was good although both entrees were overcooked - basically, the evening wasn't up to their usual standards.
Amazing food, tastfully decorated, clean and exceptional service. Kim was an exceptional server. She knew the menu and food was helpful in choosing dishes and wine pairings.
As always very nice. We all ordered differently and were really satisfied. Wonderful!!!
One of the more creative menus in the area and the food is really well done, plated and presented. The restaurant's interior is rustic but refined. There is a solid wine list both by the bottle and by the glass. The topper is the local sourcing and a large sign that shows all of the different ingredients and the local producer.
Took out of town guests for dinner. Showed them the online menu before going from which we all selected our entree. When we got there none of the items we wanted were on the "current" menu. We checked with the hostess and discovered the online menu was dated 2017 and the one handed to us was dated Dec. 2019. After making our new selections for dinner we did enjoy very good food. However, we were there for a little over two hours and decided the very slow service was the main cause. The noise level was so high one of the four of us did not hear most of our conversations. The menu prices were quit high for the experience.
