The food and service is outstanding.. so good we ate there last night and again tonight with a guest!
We have enjoyed Frogs Leap on several occasions. Once again, we enjoyed out time there this week. However, I have some dietary issues and found the menu to be difficult. I do not eat any dairy or meat. I do eat fish and seafood. One item I could have eaten was unavailable on Wednesday evening so I basically had one choice for an entree (small plate). I did not see any options for a vegan on the menu.
I think this needs to be considered as more and more people have food limitations.
Great food, fabulous service, great seating. Once again had a great time most enjoyable. That's why we keep coming back. Great place don't miss out.
Great place to go on a date night. Close to home without “Asheville “ frou-frou. Keep up the good work.
Kim our waitress and Neville were outstanding. Attentive but not invasive. The food was spectacular and creative and scrumptious as usual! Thank you for our anniversary dessert- the salted caramel brulee was divine.
Always a treat to dine at FLPH.
The food is exceptional, the service personable, the ambiance is charming. It is locally sourced, seasonal food. Neville is an outstanding member of their service staff that made our dining experience fabulous!
We have visited Waynesville three times in the past 10 months, each time spending an evening at Frog’s Leap. The pork chop and pecan-crusted trout are favorites, and the service is always top notch.
Nice place for dinner
Another great meal, another great experience. The owners should be proud of their staff handling every detail while they were on vacation. We were so excited to see Andrew even if only for a short stand in.
Nevell our server NEVER DISAPPOINTS!
The black bass was cooked to perfection along with everything else.
If you have never been to FLPH, treat yourself, if you have been .... Go back :) it
Outstanding as always. Favorite restaurant in WNC. Very special.
Still one of out favorite places for dinner.
I really enjoyed my dinner and the cocktail recommended by my server. I look forward to returning in the near future.
One of our favorite restaurants in Waynesviile. Wait staff always excellent. Great food, good wine selection, nice cocktails.
They never fail to please our waitress Abigail was the best
We dine out almost every night in savannah where we live full time but when we visit Waynesville we always eat at our favorite and I mean favorite restaurant Frogs Leap. The truffle fries, Caesar Salad are staple favorites for us. Never had a bad meal. Eaten here at least 30 times.
Unique menu items, outstanding food and impeccable service make this the best restaurant in town.
We really enjoyed our visit to FLPH and can not wait to get back! Do not miss the fried goat cheese appetizer. Everything we had was fresh and perfectly prepared.
Awesome as usual, I never have come up to Waynesvillle Without going to the frogs leap
Best meal we have had in a long time ! Can’t wait to visit again !
I would recommend the restaurant as the food was delicious, but the prices have gotten a bit higher than most of my friends would appreciate. The atmosphere is warm, however the sound carries, and it is very hard to hear. I fear I may just be getting old, but I do not plan to return soon I am afraid.
Had a wonderful meal and experience at Frogs Leap. Had the Tenderloin and it was one of the best I've had in ages. My wife had the Lobster Risotto with Hen of the Woods and thoroughly loved it. Neville was our waiter and took very good care of us. It's a fairly long drive for us but one we'll definitely be making again!
Great experience !
Impressive menu selection, delicious and beautifully prepared food. Service was impeccable in an pleasing atmosphere.
The Frogs Leap Public House never disappoints. The food was outstanding, Neville our waiter was very attentive, and the night was perfect. Can't wait till our next trip there.
Another wonderful dinner at Frog's Leap. Our waitperson, Kim, was excellent, always appearing just when we needed her. The tuna appetizer was outstanding as were the Colorado lamb chop entree. Not to mention the salted creme brulee for dessert (to die for!). Every dish is a delicious creative mix of flavors that makes each mouthful a delight and keeps us coming back. The best restaurant in Waynesville.
Always love dining at Frog’s Leap! They make us feel that we are old friends and greatly valued.
Owner/manager did not seem at all happy. I'm really not interested in spending 130 dollars at a place that doesn't make me feel more welcome and appreciated. I'm weary of being around non joyful folks.
The food is amazing! So glad we stumbled on this little gem.
Amazing!! Delicious food and great service! Perfect!!
Eaten here several times , seems to be going to a limited menu , missed meat loaf and shrimp and grits , the pecan pie was amazing
Best food in Waynesville. Hands down. As good as, or better, than any fine southern restaurant in Asheville.
Great fresh local food brought to you by very friendly, sincere employees. Great atmosphere! Love it every time!
Dining at the Frog's Leap Public House is an experience. Yes, the food is incredible, with something for everyone. From "safe" options, like steak and potatoes that will ruin other similarly priced restaurants, to more extravagant options, like Foie gras that will hit all the right notes, every dish is a treat.
And yes, the wait staff are the nicest and most knowledgeable wait staff that can provide pairing options and recommendations for each course. They really make you feel like you are someone important.
And yes, the atmosphere has been delicately crafted to reflect what the Frog's Leap really is: a public house with locally sourced ingredients located in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
But these things are not what makes the Frog's Leap Public House special. It's the experience.
My wife and I came here a year ago for Valentine's Day and sat in utter amazement as course after course were brought out, each surpassing its predecessor in quality and in elegance. We, 24 year old fresh-out-of-college graduates, we're treated like royalty, but could ask silly questions like how to eat smoked marrow bones without feeling like we were out of place.
As we were given the remainder of our desserts that we just couldn't finish because we were full from each course in to-go containers with handwritten notes with what was inside, my wife and I realized that we didn't just love the food, the wait staff, the environment, etc. We loved the experience.
We came back this year for Valentine's again, and plan on doing so next year, as well as any anniversaries that we have along the way. If you want to treat someone to a special experience, take them here. You won't regret it.
We had a wonderful meal. Service was excellent. Our favorite dish was the truffle fries. I also really liked the tomato bisque. Our entrees were delicious as well. We're vegetarian and it's great to have so many great selections on the menu. An overall fantastic first Valentine's Day dinner. We intend to make it a tradition.
Our favorite restaurant in Waynesville and the only one of its kind hereabouts! Tends to be a tad noisy when crowded, but everything else is great.
Food was excellent, probably too many choices. The prix fixe menu was confusing, however. It appeared that the wine listed with each course was part of the prix fixe cost. The wines should have been listed as "suggested pairings" instead, and the note at the top of the menu changed to "add two suggested pairings for $25".
Overall an excellent value and lots of fun.
My husband and I went to Frog’s Leap Public House the day before Valentines Day and thoroughly enjoyed a great meal (halibut) as well as excellent and friendly service. My only complaint was that the restaurant did not serve a bread basket for the table which we enjoy having with our cocktail before dinner. Also, I missed the hush puppies they used to have on the menu.
We enjoyed our evening out at Frogs Leap
Food choices were delicious
My husband thought shrimp and grits best he had ever had
We would like bread with our meal next time
Outstanding evening dining with friends. We have always enjoyed dining at this restaurant and will definitely dine here again.
Great service better food!
