Located on the edge of the village of East Hampton, the space is an airy, sky lit room featuring a wall of French doors overlooking a landscaped patio with a fountain where one may enjoy outdoor dining under a pergola. In the dining room, there is a long upholstered banquette along the opposite wall and a sleek zinc bar on the back wall anchors the space.

Very special, uncommon food prepared exquisitely. At least one of the specials was pricey. We were there for a dubious milestone, my 65th as noted on the reservation, but that was the only way it was noted.
Waiter didn’t listen to us and gave my T1D child a lemonade after I’d said she couldn’t have it - imagine the disruption and disappointment. Every question was met with a smirk and almost arrogant disdain. Just gave us a bad experience. Food was excellent however
We love the chef and the service is very good and friendly.
Amazing and always predictably good. The food is inventive and creative. The management is attentive and welcoming. Continues to be a great Hamptons dinner spot.
We love Fresno. Never disappointed by the food or service.
Pork chop was over cooked, steak was not cooked to order, but watermelon salad was deliciius
Fresno is one of our favorite spots and we go there often. As semi-new vegans, we wanted to try an item on the menu that we hadn’t previously tried, which was falafel. We were both disappointed in the dish, as the falafels were very dried. The salad that was served with the falafel was good, but did have some gritty bites, which will turn me off in an instant, as I am a firm believer in washing my greens before consumption. This was our first bad experience at this spot.
The first time I’ve ever been unhappy with my meal here. I had spaghettini with crab, caviar and creme fraiche. It was heavy and way too salty and rich. The pasta tasted as if there was a gluey sauce. Because of time restrictions I didn’t complain or send it back but I know they would’ve cooked me something else. So I’d avoid this dish-my dining companions enjoyed their food, and usually I do, too. I’ll go back. But I wind order this.
Always reliable. Our go-to spot in East Hampton. Try the blood orange margarita.
We were two vegans expecting to find some vegan/vegetarian options on the menu...and there was one appetizer, a very tasty humous served with delicious pita bread, a fairly good house salad, and a back bean falafel entree, which really missed the boat. Not good at all...too mushy and lacking in substance and taste...I'm afraid I don't get why any chef would substitute black beans for chick-peas, which are great and could certainly be combined with some other bean if need be.
The food, as a whole did not merit the price tag...Have had better vegan/vegetarian options in numerous restaurants in the area, at comparable or lesser prices. ..and was disappointed at the very limited choices. There is no atmosphere to speak of, nothing scenic to recommend this restaurant, so all in all, I found it over-rated...and am not likely to go back there again.
Excellent as always! The food is delicious and the service is always great and friendly.
Fresno could be a good place for dinner but there was a problem. First, the ambience is great. It is not noisy and that is a good thing for August in East Hampton. My partner was early and they were very nice to him as he waited.....however my dish was not good. It was an expensive pasta dish billed as containing lump crab meat. There was so little crab in the dish, I could hardly find it. For $18 it would have been ok, as the dish was tasty. For $36, it was not ok. My husband mentioned my issue to the waiter, who was just defensive about the dish. It would have been great if he had offered to bring some crab. Then the issue would have been over. Instead he went on and on about how good the dish is and that I would find the crab. Later he offered to give us the dish for free, and we agreed that he could take half off the bill which they did. They did offer free dessert which we weren't interested in and they brought us free coffee. The others were happy with their dishes.
Very relaxed, beautiful garden, terrific food, and very professional service compared to all the overcrowded, noisy Hampton’s summer scene restaurants
The service was okay but The waiter was hard to get ahold of. I specifically asked that my pork dish be cooked all the way through but it arrives under cooked and want very good at all
We had a great meal and experience at Fresno - the food and service were spot on. A great summer evening!
Always great food and services with amazingly interesting dishes.
This place is off the beaten path of the East Hampton Main Street strip but definitely well worth it. Very surprised by how great and tasty the food was. The menu was great with excellent selections plus the specials were even better. Highly recommend it and will be going back very soon.
It was a pleasant dinner. My disappointment was that the menu was not the one I have had in the winter. So there were not enough pasta dishes.
Laid back great standard in the Hamptons. Does not disappoint. Drinks excellent, food tasty . Accommodating to vegetarians, dietary restrictions etc. The service was amazing . For a decent meal in a lovely atmosphere without the pretense- a must try. There is a reason why Fresno has stuck around! Will definitely be back !
It’s had been a while so I was pleasantly surprised by the new outdoor lighting and table settings- great energy and the staff was awesome ( can be tricky this time of the year in the hamptons). The food was delish and the drink menu is a crowd pleaser! Great night!
Our meal was delicious! Service was attentive but not intrusive. This is a wonderful place to dine.
Great service, love muted but interesting and delicious entrees.
Our $20 hamburger was medium well it was supposed to be medium rare, both of us. We didn’t complain because we had a 4 hour drive after, then it took 30mins for a coconut cake. Very disappointed especially since the medium rare hamburgers looked awesome!!!
Always reliably excellent food and service at Fresno!
The price-fixe menu offers a variety of very good choices.
Always solid. Predictably good. I have a thing for steamed mussels. Love Fresco’s mussels.
Fresno is one of our go to places. The food is exceptional and the service is phenomenal. Great value if you get there for the Prix Fixe, too!
Fresno has been one of our most reliable go-to restaurants for years. A solid, consistent kitchen, fine service, and a lovely outdoor patio with table for large groups, generously spaced, adding to a wonderful experience. The prix fixe, available until 6:30pm nightly, is an east end Best Buy.
This is the second time we have been to the restaurant on our vacation. The food was excellent
The new manager, Michele, is just THE best. She seemed to be every where at once seamlessly fixing any problem and making everyone feel welcome and special.
I’ll be coming back even more often than I already do.
We've been going to Fresno's since it opened, years ago. It's always got great service, a warm and happy vibe, and the food is delicious. A great family place or night out with friends. Enjoy!
Fresno is good, without being great. For the price, you might expect a little more; in any case, the sister restaurant The Bell & Anchor, in nearby Sag Harbor, is better.
Waitstaff is friendly and pleasant. Food was excellent, definitely a favorite of ours.
Usually such a reliable restaurant-was pretty close to terrible last Sunday
It was hot and with 4 people (2 kids), it cost is over $260 and we had no alcohol. Definitely not worth it, although the wait staff was very good.
Fresno is one of my favorite Hamptons restaurants .Great food, great service and the garden/patio area has such a pretty summer ambiance.
Fresno is our go-to place for wonderful food and service!
Great food in this local standout restaurant. Fabulous mussels, octopus apps. Bucatini, hanger steak and tile fish entrees all terrific as was the burger. Great persecco and Chardonnay. Serve personable and knowledgeable with great suggestions.
I had heard great things about Fresno and finally made it there with friends. Food was truly superb. Had a Asian Tilefish in a broth with soba noodles and exotic mushrooms that was fabulous. Smoked bluefish appetizer was equally outstanding. Service was very attentive and server knew his wines (huge plus).
Would definitely revisit and recommend if in or around East Hampton.
One never goes wrong with Fresno. Their outside dining is spacious, pleasant and as inside solid service marks every experience. Their food is always consistent and impressive. Our party of four enjoyed their appetizers and four different entrees. Everything prepared as promised, tasty and in portion size that impresses diners of the top-notch but small portion kitchens. Their prix fixe — served till 6:30, but not available on this holiday week is a Hampton Best Buy. The bar is solid. Their cold cucumber and yogurt soup is a summer winner. Their Chicken Milanese always impresses. Octopus and their homemade hummus are 2 of our favorite appts. Everything you eat is well prepared and enjoyable. In the summer, sit outside. In the winter the inside can be cozy. The place is always friendly, the food always good. Enjoy.
