Fresco is a great restaurant. Always consistently good, you know your food is going to be fresh and delicious. We went there on Mother's Day as a group of 10. Our table was ready when we arrived and the wait staff came over quickly to welcome us and pour water. Service was nicely paced and the wait staff was very pleasant. Appetizers and dinners were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. We will go back.
On a day when many restaurants fall down due to volume, Fresco shined. We had swordfish and salmon, and we are picky about our fish--both were great. Our waiter was prompt, polite and professional. They don't pack you in here so the tables have nice space around them and it's not loud like a lot of restaurants are today. A lovely meal--thank you!
As always the food was wonderful and plentiful. The service was good and server was attentive to our needs.Fresco is one of our favorite places in East Greenwich, which is saying a lot as there are many good restaurants in the East Greenwich area.
My fiance and I have been very busy of late and were looking for a nice place to have dinner outside of Providence and came across Fresco on OpenTable. The location and menu looked good and we had very good experiences with some of the other restaurants nearby on Main St in E Greenwich, so we figured wed give it a chance. When we arrived, it was clearly busy, which you'd expect for the 7:00 hour on a Saturday. From the look on the hostess' face from the time we walked in the door, though, she either was having a REALLY bad day or just wasn't happy it was so busy. The bar provided us with a courteous and happy staff member who took care of our drinks while we waited for the table we had reserved for about 10 minutes. On sitting down, however, we were thrust into a very loud dinning room where guests had to keep talking louder and louder so their companions could hear them over their neighbors voices and boisterous laughs. With the volume constantly on the rise, it felt like we were sitting at a bar, almost having to talk directly into one another's ear to hear each other. Our waiter walked back and forth by our table about 10 times before even coming over the say hello or offer some water. He followed that up by neglecting to bring my fiance her re-fired steak (she asked for a re-fire because it was not cooked well done as she had requested the first time). After he took her plate back to the kitchen, he then walked over about 10 min later when my fiance clearly had not steak in front of her and asked "was that cooked better?". It was mind blowing how oblivious he was to her not even having anything in front of her. We pointed out that we were still waiting and, instead of taking any responsibility, he blamed another waiter who he said was supposed to bring it over. Certainly not very professional and definitely an overall experience we won't be looking to relive anytime soon.
This group of five thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Three of us had one of the many mouth-watering specials - steak with gorgozola risotto -which was outstanding. Our waitperson, Leah, was excellent. The owner was a little too attentive...., but overall excellent dinner at fair prices. Portions are very generous.
Great Food, friendly and timely service. Always makes you feel welcome and at home. The go to spot on Main St EG every time !
My aunt and uncle wanted to try Fresco and it did not disappoint. My wife and I have been here many times. All four of our entrees were delicious. Got busier as the time passed but the waiter handled it well. Made two more customers.
The food and service was great but it's just too noisy on the weekends. It's a shame but we'll only dine there on weekdays especially during the busy summer months.
Everything on the menu is excellent. My family and I especially enjoy the Caesar salad with meatball, all seafood dishes, and try any special they prepare.
We love Fresco for Girls Night Out....Food is great, service is fantastic. We never feel rushed out. Girls night out turns into a long night of many stories and we feel very comfortable there. Will be going again very soon.
We had not dined at Frescos in a few years because our last experience was uninspiring. After a wonderful meal Saturday night, we will definitely return The food was delicious and service good. If you haven't been to Frescos in awhile, give it a try!
My party and I were pleasantly surprised by what an outstanding meal we had at Fresco — not because we were led to expect anything negative, but just because Fresco never seems to be one of the talked-about restaurants in East Greenwich. Well, we'll talk about from now on. The food was artfully presented (without being pretentious), fresh, and flavorful. The ambiance is warm and friendly, but still refined enough to be several steps above your typical red-sauce-and-red-checked-tablecloth pasta joint.
Consistently good food and great atmosphere. Although service was slow on our last visit, it's usually very good. Our friends from out of state really enjoyed the specials selection as well as the appetizers. When just the two of us go, we like to sit at the very long and meandering bar with TV's that are often tuned to the most popular sports events. The pizzas are great, and if we don't have that, you can't go wrong with the specials such as lasagna, braised short ribs or swordfish on the bone.
Always good food; service great. Our Friday night " go to" place.
Fresco's fish entrees (and appetizers) are consistently excellent.
Food was delicious and service was excellent. I was pleased that some of the entrees were available in half size portions. It was Ladies' Night so the cost of the meal was much less than we expected. We definitely will return.
The server was very nice but unfortunately did not pay attention to our order. Our appetizer was wrong and main course was
Not prepared as ordered. It was an average restaurant but in my opinion not worth a repeat visit
This is a favorite restaurant. However, on this date we had a terrible blizzard, cars were ordered off the road, and everything closed down. Next time!
The server made the experience wonderful thank you
Food and service was great but we had a reservation for 730 and we waited until 815 to be seated
The food at Fresco is DELICIOUS! From our appetizers to our main course, everything food related was absolutely great! Our server was very friendly and nice but we did go without drinks- it seemed like we had to ask if we wanted another drink and also we had to ask to have our appetizer plates cleared along with empty glasses so we had room at our little table. This really didn't bother me but it seems like maybe the server would be on top of something like that. Overall, we had a nice experience and I would go back.
Service was great, very friendly and patient dealing with a frustrating group of 6. We ordered burrata (good), peasant purses (great), surf & turf (lobster-great, steak- slightly undercooked for medium rare), chicken parmigiana (huge & good), pink vodka sauce penne (very good). All in all a very good meal.
Can't speak measures enough about this restaurant. The food is amazing, as is the service. We've spent many a special occasion here along with Leah as our server. Looking forward to many more to come. Thanks again for making our evening special.
Was not acknowledged upon arrival. Two employees at reception area, took several minutes to cknowlede me and wife, rude. We had reservation for window seat and that was a hassle. If it was not new year day I would have walked out. We were the only ones there at 2:00. Window seats available even when we were finished.
We had always enjoyed dining at Fresco and looked forward to doing our Christmas eve meal there. Whether it was that the restaurant overbooked or was short staffed, things didn't go very well. Even with a reservation, we had to wait about 30 minutes and, to get seated, had to take a small table in the back of the dining room looking at the doors to the rest rooms and the coat racks. Once seated, the waitress certainly tried her best to provide good service but it was with effort. The food was good but the overall experience was dampened by everything that was (or wasn't) going on. Looking around, we observed many of the diners with none-too-happy looks on their faces so we weren't alone in our experiences. Hopefully, this was a "one off" night of problems and that the Fresco staff was able to learn from the issues that were confronting them.
We made reservations for christmas eve for 6:15 We were seated at 6:35 We ordered at 7:00 We received out food an HOUR and 15 MINS later Totally ruined our night and made us late for plans later with family. It was so insane--they overbooked the whole night Other diners were saying the same things
We got the Seven Fishes for Christmas Eve. Superbly done!
We have never had a bad meal here ever!
We had 7:30 reservations but was not seated until 7:50 even though there were plenty of tables available. The hostess stated
Great service, excellent food. .but very loud
Restaurant seemed understaffed; waiter did the best he could. He did not tell us about specials or bring us silverware when needed. Food was good, but nothing special. Noise level made dining and conversing difficult if not impossible.
Would not recommend Fresco's.
We had never been here before. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We will certainly make this one of our favorites. East Greenwich is a great place to go . There is a lot of activity there.
We haven't been to this restaurant in years. The last time we were here the noise level was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. We decided to come here on a Monday night hoping it would be a little quieter. The dining room was lively, but we sat at a table in the bar area and it was quiet. The food was as good as remembered and our server, Nicole, was excellent. We had the burrata, scallop and shrimp stack, and a half order of the rigatoni boulanais.. all great except the burrata which was a little too mushy. For dinner we had linguini with clam sauce, the peppered scallops, chicken risotto and seafood with linguini. We all loved everything!
Now that we know Monday is a quiet night, we'll be back!
Every time we come here, we wonder why we don't come here more often. I guess it's just because there are so many great places to eat in RI, especially in the summer.
Highly recommend the Bolognese pizza! Soda is never good so avoid ordering it. Staff is very friendly and work hard to please.
Always a great meal and always great service!
Cafe Fresco is an old favorite of ours. Food is always fresh and interesting. Fun place to eat at the bar or one of the tables in the bar area. Server was particularly friendly this visit.
This is our fourth or fifth time there and looking forward to our seventh eigth etc
Very good food, great service. Nice bar.
Food and service was great. We had a nice table in the corner next to the window, a nice quiet relaxing dinner. Highly recommend.
Poor parking; slow service & not attentive.
