Frederick's Wine and Dine Ratings and Reviews
This was my second time there. I truly enjoyed my entire dining experience. The wait staff was very friendly. It so wonderful to have venue to go to and you don't have to worry about a rowdy crowd. The food portions are excellent for the price. The fried chicken dinner made me think my grandmother was in the back cooking. I will be back again very soon!
My dining experience at Frederick's was great! I made reservations for 5.45p.m. upon arriving I was seated within minutes. The server was prompt attentive and very pleasant. The band was exceptional they were an added plus to the environment they performed several contemporary Jazz hits, GREAT JOB!!!!
I was visiting family in Cleveland for the weekend but will definitely return to Frederick's whenever I am in the area.
I went there expecting good food from reading prior reviews but was surprised that it was better than advertised. Not only was the food great but service was excellent as well. Kevin was our waiter and absolutely fantastic. Our food came out quickly even with the numerous large parties that were there. All I can say is , Fredericks was well worth the drive from Akron. Visit was 7/15/2017.
Food and service was great. However the band needs to turn the volume down a little bit, so the parties can hear each other talk. There is no dinner conversation because the volume drowns everyone out, unable to hear my dinner guest next to me or across from me. Would like to enjoy a dinner conversation along with the music. Felt more like a concert environment instead of dinner.
I got the perch dinner with green beans and candied yams. OMG, I wanted to slap my mama because the food was so good. The fish was flaky and fried perfectly. The side dishes were great, even the salad that came with the two other sides. My server was personable and friendly. I would recommend making sure that the server regularly refills water and asks if anyone wants additional drinks but that was minor and did not take away from the overall experience. This is a great place for delicious comfort food.
My staff and I enjoyed our afternoon away from the office at Frederick's Wine & Dine. The atmosphere was nice and mostly everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The Frederick’s Alfredo Fettuccine pasta had too much sauce, it more like a soup or chowder than a pasta. In addition, the service was a little slow as it took just about 40 minutes for our food to come to our table. The waitress was not overly helpful in suggesting menu items. For instance we ordered 2 appetizers so that everyone could try something but it would have been helpful for her to suggest the sampler platter instead. We did not notice that on the menu prior to ordering.
Fredrick's seemed like a wonderful spot for an occasional night out. When you walk in you can hear the wonderful live jazz band play in front of the diners. Unfortunately, the pleasantries stopped there...waited almost 10 minutes to be approached by a hostess (even though we had a reservation). The hostess scooted up to the front door in her house shoes ( not cute even if your feet hurt). We were sat at a wonderful table, but no one came to get our drink order nor our dinner order for almost 15 minutes. We finally flagged a waiter down and he took our order. Needless to say, it was down hill from there....ordered a drink from the bar (never arrived), asked for silverware (twice), ask for refill (never came). Dinner arrived and it was pretty good! However, it was eclipsed by the terrrible service! Fix the service and we will come back!! Thank
The food is good but they play too many tricks with the food. My mom ordered the chicken pasta dish.I tell my sister order spicy chicken pasta (my favorite )with the chicken on the side. 30 minutes later comes my moms dish with maybe 3 pieces of chicken she could barely find. 10 minutes after that the spicy pasta with chicken on the side had 3x more meat because they couldn't hide it in the pasta . I have ordered this dish around 3 of the 5 times I have been there. The first time the presentation was on point. The chicken was cut and displayed on top. The 2nd time was like my moms dish all pasta little meat. I told management she apologized we moved on. The third time I explained to waitress exactly how I wanted it prepared with the chicken on the top so I can see what in getting. She brings me my dish all mixed up. There might have been 3 pieces of meat. I tell waitress I don't want the dish and take it off my bill. She takes plate and brings it back with more chicken but now is too late. Manager comes up and apologized . I received the bill and she not only charged me for the dish she charged me Extra $3 for chicken that should have been included in the $17 price. This is why good businesses go out of business . Trying to save a nickel and lose customers. Because of inconsistency and lack of training.
This was the worst dining experience that my wife and I have ever had. Were on time for our 5 pm reservation and the restaurant was nearly empty. Even though we were only one of 4 tables in the restaurant after 25 minutes no one came to our table to even acknowledge our presence. We left the restaurant without anyone even offering us so much as a glass of water. We vowed to never recommend or come to this establishment again. We could not believe it. This restaurant was supposed to have live entertainment but they did not. We traveled guite a distance to come to Fredricks Wine and Dine, but after our experience here we would not come back to Fredricks even if we lived next door and the food was free! The occasion that brought us to Fredricks was to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. This was a waist of time and resources!!!
It seems like every one of our friends have been here except us. So we decided that we wanted live music for our anniversary dinner and decided to finally go to Fredericks. There was music but it looks like the band was late so we didn't get the live music we wanted. But the great food and great service totally made up for that. We truly enjoyed our evening. Just wish the band wasn't late because we really wanted that part of the evening as well. I wish I remembered the name our waiter (Maurice or Marcus...something along those lines) but we appreciate how attentive he was to us and anyone else he was serving. We will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful time. The band was awesome, the chef even accommodate my special request from fried shrimp to grilled shrimp. I will return for date night. Keep up the great job as this is a neighborhood spot that will treat you right, no bad attitudes here!
I visited this establishment twice in a three day period! And I found the place to have a nice atmosphere but there was deficiencies that would have made my visits extremely better. The first visit was a date and my guest complained that her meal was prepared unsatisfactory. My second visit was a carry out order. And both visit we entered the establishment and nobody was there to greet and seat us. And I was made to go over to the bar to place my order. Also there was a little white kid there with what look like to be his dad and he kept running over by the bar sticking stuff into the music machine. I been in other establishment that serve alcoholic beverages and they do not allow children over in the area where alcohol is being served.
