We have been coming to Galena for 26 years, and this was our first time in the Irish "village" and Frank O'Dowds's. EVERYTHING was excellent. Brussel sprouts, Fish and Irish Chips, and Whiskey Glazed Salmon were outstanding. Irish Margarita was DELICIOUS, so excellent bar tending, as well. Lily, our server, was kind, thorough, attentive, and very helpful. Can't wait to make it back w some family and friends.

Service from Aaron was friendly and efficient. Great Irish Pub feel and the food, as always, was excellent! All 4 of us enjoyed everything we ordered.

Excellent menu, food, drinks & ambience. Our group of 6 were all able to find a lot of options to eat that were all DELICIOUS! Was also a great experience to hear the live music.

Our bartender/server was Joy. She was very friendly and answered every question we had about the bar, history, different drinks, the menu etc. Met some really nice people and had a lot of fun. Live music after dinner.

There was an issue with the speaker system, so no music. The waiter said that even when it is working, they don't play Irish music.

Even though it wasn’t busy the service was just adequate. The staff was flat and indifferent. The food was average, the soda bread was not authentic.
