A hidden gem in the Knudsen`s Corner area of Holladay, Utah.

Franck`s is a casual fine dining restaurant set in a renovated old home with a warm, contemporary design. The dining room is small and cozy; it’s a friendly neighborhood "getaway". Franck`s menu may be described as American with a multi continental flare. On the menu you will find classic American comfort food such as fried chicken, meatloaf, and steak as well as exotic flavors from around the world.

At Franck`s our chef and his team prepares your meal as you watch him in our open kitchen and on our dining room `chef cam`! Franck`s sets a new standard for excellence in cuisine, service and ambiance at reasonable prices.

    Eating at Franck’s is always an adventure, but I was not a big fan of the Christmas Eve menu. Too many odd combinations of food, like scallops along side pork lasagna. Or the first course of corn cake with a sweet whipped topping which I found off-putting in an appetizer. In addition, the service was less attentive and professional compared to former visits. Or an incomplete soup course that didn’t come with the cracker others received. The explanations of the dishes was cursory, at best, and we had to rely on the printed menu to try and figure out the nuances of each dish. And the state of the restroom was not what one would expect from a high-end restaurant. Franck’s is my favorite restaurant in Salt Lake so I will chalk it up to going on a hectic, very busy night.

    Another excellent dining experience. Sampled widely from their menu, and everything from appetizers through dessert were very well-prepared and presented. This is a favorite spot.

    Order the fondue you won't be disappointed. The room was warm/cold/warm/cold. I must have been under a vent. Also, the chair covers could use a little cleaning love - I asked for a different chair; the one I almost sat on was covered in stains. Service was excellent. The Valet team was a tad flustered; expect to park your own car jic.

    Dinner with friends. Fondue was a great starter. My lamb shank fell off the bone. The donut was a great dessert. Others had Brussels sprouts and tenderloin. Everything was excellent. Our waitress, Jess, was fabulous. Outstanding service. We had a Red Schooner Caymus. Bold wine and reasonably priced.

    Once again the chef did not disappoint. We started with the Beet Salad and the cracker/toast that sat as a foundation for the salad added a fun twist on an old classic, plus there was a salty complement coming through with the cracker/toast. We also tried the Pho-umpkin Soup which was outstanding. Deep, rich fall flavors coming through that were perfect for the evening. Lastly, I had the Walu which was cooked perfectly, but the cream sauce in the dish along with other complements in the bowl elevated a beautiful piece of fish to a new level. Corbin was a delight and made the evening very nice.
