As usual, Robert prepared an excellent menu. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the Nahville Duck was a step above the rest.
Food was outstanding. Service was great. Unpretentious.
We will def. return.
Can't say enough about this elegant small restaurant, but I keep trying! Franck's is located just south of 'Tuscany'; both properties have Mark and Teri Eaton as co-owners. If you don't know who that is - you're not Utah Jazz Fans.
Robert Perkins is the head chef at Franck's and he is a food magician. Ably supported by a superior kitchen and wait staff, we are big fans of anything Robert puts on our table but we do have a favorite ' menu' and that is Tuesday's Tasting'. We've been to Franck's over a hundred and fifty times in the last six and a half years and have never been disappointed.
I've got to throw in a plug for two other major assets at Franck's: the manager, Mike DeHaan and Angie, the dessert chef. Dinner at Franck's is like being served by well-mannered family members.
Wonderful food served by a wonderful staff. Always an incredible experience!’
Loved it! Wonderful service and amazing, creative dishes and cocktails. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion or a nice date night!
LOVE this place! They had a set menu on NYE that was pricey but so worth it! Seriously one of the better meals I've ever had.
The soups are amazing. The lamb shank and meatloaf won’t disappoint, and the pork special I had last time was one of the best meals I have ever had. Don’t hesitate, just go. You won’t regret it.
Had a good meal with the family. We were running late and they were willing to accommodate us despite being pretty busy. Menu was interesting with something for everyone. Service was excellent and prompt. Food was presented and served appropriately. Loved the Brussel sprouts. Overall nice experience would visit again
First time at Franck’s. Lovely atmosphere and unique and delicious food. Fun for a special get together.
we waited an hour an during that time we ate some focaccia bread. We were told that the kitchen was overwhelmed, and that another cook had arrived. We then got out salad and soup. It seems that they knew how many reservations they had, and should have planned better. Our experience otherwise was great.
Amazing food and staff.
Some of the best food in SLC, and one of our regular favorites. The Chef prepares amazing specials and fantastic unusual combinations that are one of a kind. Truly one of the best!
Frank’s was delicious. We absolutely love the food, wait staff and the ambiance.
Dinner was incredible. We loved our appetizers (pho-wrench onion soup and beets l’orange)). The pho was so unique and heavenly. We also had the salmon and the bass entrees which were beautifully plated and divine. We finished off the meal with the wonderful Mexican Chocolate cake. The service was terrific and we were able to watch the kitchen prepare our meal on the flat screen Tv near our table. They had a wonderful wine list with a knowledgeable staff. We can’t wait to return.
We never have a bad meal here. One of our favorite go to places!
The tasting menu was excellent - delicate white fish dipped in panko crumbs and deep fried was elegant, tasteful and delicious. The duck with pate was succulent. And the Christmas cookies with milk - well what can I say...Santa would have been proud!
I cannot believe this was my 1st time to dine at Franck's. An absolute hidden gem, top quality through & through.
We love Franck's It is a favorite of ours for our Anniversary. Or when a special guest is in from out of town.
Everything was great. It took more time ten expected between courses but that’s to be expected in fine dining. We were very pleased with our visit.
Dinner was slow took almost 2.5 hours. Miko was slow to get stuff to us and visited our table 4 times in 2.5 hours
Francks was more than just dining it, it was an experience. such creativity goes into every meal on their menu. Fun and different! Tried the meatloaf with blueberry sauce ...we can see why it is a regular on their menu. We also tried a salmon dish that had a bit of an asian influence...all very good! Everything fresh ! Service was impeccable! Francks was an awesome friday evening!
Food was great as usual. Service was simply SUPERB. Thank you Mike and Mikael for making my guests feel very special.
Excellent service, great food and a nice table made my date
Wonderful. Couldn’t ask for more. I will be back.
Another week - another Tuesday Tasting Menu at Franck's! Absolutely the best deal in the valley: spectacular food selection and visual presentation. Robert Perkins is the head chef who oversees all of this and he takes his role VERY seriously. Backed up by a great kitchen and wait staff - this special dinner is our go-to Tuesday dining experience every week we're in town. THIS week we brought a friend. She loved it!
I found my new favorite a lot in SLC it’s Frank’s. I don’t want to tell anyone how amazing it is for fear of never being able to get a reservation again.
Every item on the menu was over the top amazing including things I would have normally never tried. Their unique spin TOK every dish to a new level for me.
Excellent spot for romantic dinner or with close friends for a night out.
We had the cherry goat cheese soup. Literally the best soup I've ever had. Thank you.
We love this place and have never been disappointed. Don’t skip the soup!
Absolutely delightful evening! The staff was attendant but, not to the point of disrupting our evening. We all had the chef’s tasting menu and were amazed at how innovative was. It was like a Michelin Star meal without the hassle and at just a fraction of the cost. Honestly, the food was so good we could hardly believe our good fortune. If you haven’t been there, you’ll love the quaint neighborhood cafe ambiance. We plan on coming back often
Best small restaurant in the Salt Lake Valley: best head chef, Robert Perkins; best kitchen and wait staffs. ‘Tuesday’s Tasting Menu’ is a visual and taste sensation and at $39 is the best ‘deal’ in the valley.
And I want to take a minute to recognize an ‘essential’ member of the staff, Mike De Haan. Mike is the manager that greets you at the door and escorts you to your table. He (and his parents) are also responsible for hand-assembling and displaying the Christmas ornaments in each of the restaurant’s windows….and….he is responsible for ‘personally’ maintaining the ‘gardens’ in front of the restaurant as you enter the property in the spring, summer, and fall.
We live in the Harvard-Yale area of Salt Lake City and make that hour round trip drive to Franck’s every chance we get – that would be over a hundred and fifty times in the last seven years. We LOVE this place
I was in town visiting my daughter and selected Franck's for our Thanksgiving evening meal. I cannot tell you just how delicious everything was...the meal was absolutely amazing. I'm not a big fan of turkey but it was so tender, moist and flavorful it left you wanting more even though I was already getting full from the previous courses that were equally as good! Dessert came and I had already mentioned to our waiter that we would probably need boxes since I wasn't sure we could actually eat anymore but again I was wrong! We happily cleaned our yummy dessert plate as well...no boxes needed. The meal is pricey but I was happy to pay for that level of quality and service. I don't cook so I eat out frequently and I'll have to say It's been a long time since I've had a meal and particularly on a holiday that I was really wowed about. This is a wow! The ambiance and service was wonderful as well!
Firstly, I must thank the staff for accommodating an extra guest on a busy Thanksgiving holiday. We realized one of our son's college friends was going to be alone during Thanksgiving. The staff figured out how to squeeze in another person when they were booked solid.
Secondly, what a pleasure it was to relax and enjoy the well-thought out and beautifully executed Thanksgiving courses. None of us had a favorite thing as we thoroughly enjoyed one delicious presentation after another. Thinking about the ambience of the room, it seemed everyone was happy! There was a generous spirit to the way the meal was presented. We had the best of all worlds, a scrumptious holiday meal, great company, terrific service, and no clean up!
Had the Thanksgiving 4-course meal, and it was delicious! The food selection was innovative and unique. If you're looking for something beyond just the standard holiday fare, this is a great place to go. We still left just as stuffed as if we'd eaten at home. It's a small restaurant, so there was a more intimate feel and the waitstaff was very friendly and pleasant. We were seated right next to the fireplace, so it was a cozy meal. Now we would like to go back and try their regular menu.
Thanksgiving dinner was creative and delicious!
Staff was friendly and attentive.
Franck’s looked stunning with the snow covered trees and Holiday decorations! Best fondue. Apple cider parsnip soup delicious. Beautiful entrees. And yummy warm donut. Perfection for a birthday dinner.
Such a lovely restaurant and the food was so beautiful and unique. Loved our server and the ambiance was on point!
Those of you who actually 'read' restaurant reviews know we're big fans of Franck's - the best small restaurant in the entire valley. We're also big fans of Tuesday's Tasting Menu - and this week we brought friends who live in Park City! Robert Perkins is the head chef at Franck's and he's supported by an excellent kitchen and wait staff. The table presentation and FOOD is quite extraordinary. Watching over all of this is Mike DeHaan, the manager. We're here several times a month and in six and a half years that translates to over a hundred and fifty amazing culinary experiences.
Great atmosphere, truly remarkable service and delightful food
Really love Franck’s. Great food, service, and ambiance. I take both clients and family multiple times per year nd enjoy it each time.
