About the Francesca’s Restaurant Group: Founded in 1992 by Restaurateur Scott Harris, Francesca’s Restaurant Group has grown from a small, welcoming Italian restaurant on Chicago’s North Clark Street to a restaurant group of 5 concepts across 25 locations in 3 states. The food was amazing! Calamari and meatballs with polenta for our appetizer. Rigatoni with sausage and spinach and special order chicken parmigiana for entrees. Terrific Pinot noir. Our service from the door to the table and through the night was outstanding! Great visit.

The food is always delicious...the noise level can be "energetic" but it's worth it for the good food - especially when they have specials to try!

We had Chris as our server. He was very efficient and knowledgeable. The branding was outstanding as was the salmon. My husband requested it well done and it was cooked to perfection. The niche salad is always yummy. Great appetizers to start too. The calamari and the bruschetta. Will return soon!

Came for lunch on a recommendation. I was surprised that Eggplant Parmigiana was not on the menu but opted for Gnocchi, my other “go-to” dish. I looked forward to it but was extremely disappointed. It arrived and looked like it like Mac and Velveeta Cheese. It tasted like a heavy blue cheese sauce. I tried to like it but it was just not for me. Two others tried a piece and also were surprised with its unexpected taste. It simply did not appear or taste like an Italian dish. Luckily our server was kind enough to notice it off to the side and offered another entree of choice. Everything else tasted good from appetizer to dessert. Thank goodness for good service.

We love Francescas and especially love our local Francescas Passagio the most! We see some of the same staff each time we go. And it’s so great when they recognize us even though we are a quiet couple who don’t like to look for special attention. Asked for a special change to my pasta dish and it was accommodated with ease. A little surprised though that this change was an $8 upcharge- seems pretty steep but I enjoyed it. And the next table asked me what I ordered and I had to say I created my own dish, lol. Count on good service, fresh food and moderate prices.

I must not have done my research because I was thinking it was going to be a lot mor “quaint” then it was! It was our anniversary so it was what I was looking for. There was a large work party so it was very very loud! The food runner brought out the wrong food and then didn’t know what I told him I ordered. Food was just ok! I was looking for a salad to go with my meal and that wasn’t going to happen. I like the Italian big bowls of salad you get and then pass around. Will have to stick with my first choice next time!
