Foxfire Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The food and cocktails were amazing. Our server was wonderful and offered excellent suggestions but as the night dragged on the restaurant was understaffed and we were left wanting for dessert and the check. Still highly recommend but the restaurant needs more staff on a Friday night!
Reasonably priced. Very good selection on menu, good sized portions, very tasty. Only disappoint was that they'd run out of baked potatoes and mashed potatoes. That was weird, but didn't ruin the evening.
Only thing I'd change is to sit further from the entertainment - it was a little too loud for conversation.
I'd certainly go back.
Booked an early seating with my 2 Kids and husband for New Years Eve. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The food was excellent. Service was good but a little slow, nothing major. The patio looked amazing. We will definitely be back to experience it in the summer. Great place!
Love this restaurant. One of my favorites in Geneva. Quality of food and presentation is excellent. Our server was a pro. He recognized that we were there for a business lunch on this occasion. He gave us the appropriate amount of time to order drinks, apps and our meal. I was most impressed with his signal to order our main course, which meant standinging up the wine menu - simply brilliant.
I also enjoy dining here with my wife when we want to get away from the kids.
My friend and i ordered the prime rib, mine was suppose to be medium rare but parts of it was pretty rare. His was medium which was perfect but as far as flavor, it just wasnt there. I personally dont think any type of steak should have an Au Jus sauce as part of the steak. A steak alone should be flavorful and juicy enough not to need a sauce to keep it juicy. For a restaurant that says one of their specialty is steaks, i disagree. And waiter told us it came with “cheesy” potatoes as a side. Well, That wasnt the case, yet when he acknowledged the mistake, he brought us “plain” mashed potatoes. I would've rather gone to a texas roadhouse to get a prime rib. My fiance got the salmon, and she loved it. As well as the Shrimp de Jonghe for an appetizer, which is a must. Overall, experience and ambience was great. But i dont see myself coming again to a steakhouse that cant get it right 100% with that price.
Not one of my best visits to the Foxfire. My steak was overcooked, coming out well done versus the medium that I ordered. It was dry. The asparagus that I ordered was also overcooked, coming out black on one side. The restaurant was very busy, and while not thrilled, it was not bad enough to send back. Other restaurants in town include a salad and a side. I really don't like the ala carte menu at Foxfire. Other restaurants where the others are included seem to be a better value.
It was a great place for my friend and I to meet for lunch. We wanted to do something different for the Christmas Outing. The staff was very polite and the food was good. I would love to go back with my husband for dinner, just has a nice atmosphere. It was a very hectic day in downtown Geneva, but this restaurant made you feel relaxed. I hope to go back soon!!
Shrimp scampi appetizer was excellent. But our entrees were not served hot enough. I had prime rib; and that, along with the baked potato, was not very tender or served very hot. I could understand if we were a large party, but it was just 3 of us. Pork chop and filet medallions were very good but also not warm enough.
Everything about this place was awesome. My wife and I went there to celebrate with a few friends. Our server Jess was great none of her recommendations were off. The owner came over to see how everything was going too. Couldn’t ask for a better experience for a special day.
