Anchoring Saratoga's vibrant downtown Forno Bistro is a family-owned bistro that offers a variety of rustic, Tuscan-style food rooted in tradition. Our chef's use only the freshest seasonal ingredients to prepare dishes with respect to their flavors, appearance and aroma. The menu is sophisticated but approachable, expressing the sense of hearth and home that defines the Tuscan style of life. Forno Bistro's rustic, Tuscan-style food is hearty and unpretentious with sophisticated flavors rooted in tradition and always open to new interpretations and adaptations. Many of our dishes are greatly influenced by the use of the wood-fired oven: homemade pizzas, sautéed calamari, and wood-fired towers of vegetables. The oven is always the inspiration.

One of Saratoga’s best Italian restaurants. Great friendly and accommodating service. Food is fantastic and can be enjoyed solo at bar or with friends.

Sofie was our server and she was excellent even while managing large tables and a backed up bar. She was very attentive. The food was excellent. I had the pappardelle osso bucco. The beef was perfectly tender. My husband had the spicy pepper pasta dish and cleaned his plate. We both finished with the tiramisu and espresso martinis. This will become a part of our Saratoga rotation. Thank you!

Service was excellent. Request Sophia for your server. Disappointed in the sauce. Someone changed it to a sweet sauce which we’re not fans of. Only finished half of our (4) dinners. We frequent DZ restaurants and we were told that Forno changed their computer server and all of our accumulated points were lost, so we couldn’t apply any points toward our dinners. We were never informed of this until we got our check. I guess they consider this frequent, patron appreciation. Still waiting to hear if we got our points back.

Hi Ronald. Thank you for your review. I am very sorry to hear you were unhappy with the quality of our marinara sauce. I must admit I am confused as to the sweetness. Our marinara has been the same recipe for over 20 years. I will make sure to let our EX Chef know so that he can ensure our culinary team is not preping something incorrectly but this is the first that I have heard of this. As far as the PG program, we did in fact upgrade our technology to a much better system but no one lost points. All points can be retrieved as long as we have a current mobile number and email address. I am sorry that you did not receive the communication over the winter. We notified our guests for months about the upgrade but it is my understanding that your email address changed. Sincerely. Nancy Bambara

Great food and service! We loved the grilled octopus and tagliatelle osso bucco. Our only complaint is that it was a bit loud in the restaurant, I am accustomed to a little lower volume. But overall it was a great dinner!

We had an amazing dinner at Forno Bistro Sunday evening. We were visiting from Massachusetts and this is always one of our favorite places to eat. They have a beautiful outside dining area as well as a very vibrant and energetic inside dining area. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. Above all the food is amazing!

We sat at the bar for drinks, and stayed for dinner. Excellent, friendly and attentive service from Ashley and James! The polpo was delicious and surprisingly light, and my husband said the fresh pappardelle with osso bucco was great. We would definitely return if in Saratoga Springs again.

The food was fantastic but our server was terrible. We were celebrating a few birthdays and were told they would be giving us a cannoli for no cost. They put a happy birthday card in our table and it as well was never acknowledged and one cannoli was ever delivered let alone the ones for everyone celebrating. We finally flagged down a bus boy to take our check because our server would only stop over every 20 minutes or so. Finally made it out after two hours and only having a meal - no apps or dessert.

We had a great time at Forno Bistro. We went before the July 4 fireworks. It looked like they were getting slammed with customers but we were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time. Service was prompt and efficient. The place was mound but with a good energy vibe. We weren’t looking for a dinner so we went with the antipasto del forno. Fried calamari, white pizza, bruschetta, arancini and more. Great value and delicious.
