   We had an exceptional experience with our server, Frank (who should be a full-time voice actor but he would be too sorely missed at Foreign & Domestic), and Chef Chris. The staff seemed like a great team and they all collaborated to take amazing care of us, from recommending some mind-blowing dishes to anticipating our needs and meeting them before we even thought to ask. For instance, we started with the tartare, and I think we were lucky to be sitting at the bar in Chef Chris’ line of sight because he quietly recognized that we were running out of the amazing crisps, so right when we were about to ask for more, another serving appeared in front of us. The food was truly delicious and far exceeded any expectations we had, but the care and attention we received took our experience to the next level. Absolutely a top notch, highly memorable experience. Do NOT miss out on this place! We will absolutely be back if we ever pass through Austin again!

   Our 9:15 PM reservation for three at Foreign & Domestic quickly became a night to remember. The star of our evening was Shanae, our phenomenal server whose professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of the menu transformed our dinner into a curated experience. She anticipated our needs, offered insightful recommendations, and treated us with true hospitality from start to finish, even thoughtfully packing our leftovers and unfinished bottle of wine with care. We started with the Gruyère & Black Pepper Popovers, paired with charred onion butter. They were light, savory, and perfectly crisp, an appetizer that set the bar high. For entrées, each dish was a standout: the Lamb Ravioli was delicate yet rich, the Burger juicy and gourmet, the Root Vegetable Bolognese inventive and satisfying, and the Risotto creamy and comforting. The Collard Greens, unexpectedly elegant, were a surprise favorite—visually stunning and uniquely flavorful. Dessert was the perfect finishing touch, a luscious cheesecake that was both refined and indulgent. From the carefully curated wine list to the beautifully executed dishes and unforgettable service, Foreign & Domestic delivered a truly elevated dining experience. It’s the kind of place where every detail is intentional, and every guest feels seen. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be asking for Shanae.

   Went early for happy hour ~ great deals on small plates and wine ... Food was delicious, as always ... the only minor complaint the table had was the Root Vegetable Bolanase was just a touch salty ... Our waiter Frank is new-ish to F&D, so had to confirm a few things, which we appreciated instead of trying to bluff his way through .... Frank was very personable and professional otherwise ... Look forward to our next visit

   I came to Foreign and Domestic for Sunday Brunch with my family one weekend and it was so good, I came back the next weekend with a friend. Both times I had the cardamom cinnamon roll because it’s the best I’ve ever had. They toast it before they put the frosting on it, so the cinnamon and sugar gets a little crunchy. It’s incredible. The mimosas are also good deal. I’d love to come back for dinner!

    My favorite Austin restaurant! Had the brunch which was excellent. Jeremiah the server is my favorite. He always takes great care of me! If you are in Austin you should check this place out!
