Flour - Italian Kitchen
Excellant service, food etc all around! We will be back!
Dinner with old friends we haven’t seen in many years.
We were very disappointed since we brought three people to dinner. We waited over 1 hour for our Entree. Nothing was done by Flour to make up for such a problem caused by the restaurant’s new ordering system. Poor management!
If you have a difficult time cooking pasta you should not be in kitchen.
Lumpy doughy and under cooked Angel Hair Pasta.
The swordfish entree was outstanding. However, the pasta in the three other dishes was gluey and inedible. We might have hit a bad night for the pasta cooker. Might try again before recommending to a friend.
Good food, good service. Will definitely go back.
The food was very good.
Drinks, presentation, pricing, quality, value - very poor. $20.00 glass of cab tasted like $12.00 bottle of wine. The bourbon I didn’t know but I want to taste something new - I was charged $41.00 for a single. My price range for a drink is $20.00 to $30. $41.00 is silly when you don’t tell your guest. Was never told about how much it will be, was not presented a list with pricing. I will go back to the restaurant across the street. Trying something new did not work out.
The food could have been served warmer and the restaurant was freezing until we complained, then it got better.
Had the chicken dish first time and to be honest did not like at all. Way too many beans in it. Meatballs, pasta lamb pasta all excellent as always. Even tried peppers for appetizer and was good too.
Outstanding food. Delicious and innovative menu. Excellent service. Very loud. Couldn’t hear what friends at our table we’re saying. Prices are high. Contemporary casual decor.
Always great food and drinks. Professional but very friendly staff.
Starters - crispy calamari, sausage stuffed peppers - were outstanding. Calamari was light, tender and perfectly prepared. Sausage had the right amount of spiciness and was excellent. Pasta dishes - tagliatelle bolognese and lamb rigatoni - exceed our expectations. Pasta was light and dishes packed with flavor. We appreciated the option of smaller portion pasta dishes. Dessert, lemon tart, ws delicious. Good selection of wines by the glass. and appreciated that wine was served in stemmed glasses. We look forward to returning.
The food at “energy” at Flour was fantastic. Our service was also excellent.
Flour has become our go-to place for a business lunch. They have selections for many different tastes and diets and the food is always good. Make reservations, as it gets crowded for lunch and dinner, for good reason!
Outstanding food and service! We enjoy dinner or pizza depending on our mood.
We found the brunch dishes we had (Eggs Benedict, Savory Oatmeal) fine, but not really outstanding. Also the menu is a little limited for brunch. The service was excellent, however, and we have had been more impressed with Flour's Happy Hour menu and dishes.
We frequent Flour, both at the bar for cocktails and apps or, seated in the restaurant. The food is good, consistent, and the drinks are strong. I'm gluten free so, I'm happy that we're able to have gf pasta available. Bartenders are consistently friendly and attentive, and the servers we've had while seated in the restaurant are great! It can get noisy at busy times but, it doesn't detract us from returning.
The mussels, which we went for we not nearly as good as when we have had them in the past but the portion was large. The meat preparation was not as ordered but readily fixed and the meal was delicious with the minor fix.
We enjoy Flour but we walked into check in and the Hostess left us standing there for almost 10 minutes because she had no additional help and phones ringing, carry outs being picked up and people checking in. She was not overly pleasant about it. Our food was ok but the feature of the month which was Brussel spouts were so salty that they were not edible. There is a total of 2 fish choices on the menu and my husband ordered the swordfish and he was told that it was not available. The food is very pricey for the experience. Fruit flies and flies were abundant everywhere
We were seated as we walked in. Always good to have reservations as it gets crowded at lunch and dinner. Specials sounded yummy. White bean soup was creamy and had a little smokey flavor. Salad with salmon cooked perfectly was great, as well as the cauliflower salad. Third guest had tagliatelle, which he said was delightful. Server was friendly and quick and our drinks were frequently replenished. Great place with excellent food, unique choislces (like my favorite, fried olives).
Our server didn’t ask us anything about our special occasion.
The server was very slow and seemed to forget about us. Also, there were many flies.
Flour is the go to restaurant for lunch to celebrate the birthdays of 5 special friends. The service is good, the food is great and we have a blast. It was very crowded on Monday aka Veterans' Day and we needed to locate our own sweetener and a a bread plate. But we are sure to return. Our only disappointment is the tiramisu has been replaced with tiramisu cheese cake but the cream part isn't tiramisu.
Food and service is consistently excellent!
Nice ambiance, great patio. Highly recommended!
A perfect restaurant for a special occasion: my sister’s birthday dinner! We split a salad (because they are huge). I can’t resist the Pasta Bolognese. It’s amazing. And the Salmon entree never disappoints.
Service was friendly and efficient. Good food but one of us had a very large insect stuck to the feta in his salad.
Love the VIBE in the bar area. AL made our anniversary so enjoyable!
Good food and wine supported by very good and attentive service.
Flour is always a great spot for dinner.
The bartenders pour generous drinks and the service is friendly.
The staff was most helpful in helping us find a quiet corner! The food was fantastic - you just can't go wrong with anything on their menu! This was our 2nd visit there and plan on many more!
Great for business lunch. Food and service were great as usual
Our server was efficient yet abrupt and by all means did not enhance our dining experience.
The restaurant is extremely loud and the food is overpriced.
From the time we were seated our server appeared to take care of us. My sister and I are vegetarians and enjoyed our entrée -- ravioli with ricotta and eggplant meatballs -- delicious. One friend had the duck dish and the other ate the salmon dish -- again delicious. I frequently dine at Flour, mostly for lunch and I would never hesitate to recommend your place for dining.
We've eaten at Flour many times, so I know they can do better. It was a comedy of errors all night.
Table was the same undesirable table we always seem to get. We were early. Had a reservation. There were nice tables vacant. But one more time we got the table near the doorway into the kitchen. Hate to fuss so didn't ask to be reseated.
Service was so terrible it was funny. Our waitress flunked the training apparently. Took orders from many people seated after us and brought them drinks before she even approached our table. Messed up our drink order then managed to slosh a martini on me in trying to sort out. Same long wait to place our order.
Entrees came before we were close to finished with the salads and appetizer. (Caesar salad was good!) Each entrée was placed in front of the wrong person. Luckily switched around without more spills.
(Cod was good.) We shared a chocolate mousse which was delicious though it took much discussion to determine if there were nuts sprinkled on top. (Important because of a serious nut allergy.) Shouldn't the waitress know what's on the menu?
Ordered 2 decaf coffees. Next morning I got a text from my friend saying he'd been up all night. You guessed it -- his coffee was regular.
Come on Flour. You can do better. I know you can. You've got one more chance.
Time and time again I will recommend Flour to everyone that will listen. Their terrific food is only surpassed by an incredible staff. Manager Michael, server Al, and the entire team at Flour go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. On this occasion, Flour made two Freshman attending their first Homecoming Dance feel incredibly special. Dietary issues were handled perfectly as always, and a young couple was treated to first class service and attention to detail. Thank you Michael & Al!
Calamari was a little dry and too much coating. Great pizza and the arugula and prosciutto salad was superb. Waitress was a little unattentive.
We enjoy the food, and Gretchen is a wonderful server!
Spencer was an amazing assistant to Gretchen. He really stole the show with his handsome looks and amazing smile! Hope you keep him onboard for a long time - will certainly be good for business! Tell him he is one sexy man!
We frequently go to Flour, so we were looking forward to it. This, however, was not the best experience. The waiter was excellent. BUT the food service was slow, my pasta was not hot and the noodles were sticking together. This has never happened here before. Also, my husband ordered the cod. The fish was excellent, but the vegetables were burned and had an awful taste.
Food was excellent, ravioli and eggplant meatballs were fantastic, service was spot on as well!!
