Flesh & Buns Covent Garden is a sanctuary below the bustling streets of Seven Dials. Leave London at the door, and experience Japanese Izakaya hospitality.

A long-term favourite for fans of Japanese cuisine, Flesh & Buns is where unlimited pillowy, steaming bao buns meet home-smoked, robata-grilled fillings. We make our food from scratch and serve up generous portions, designed to share.

Relaxed and intimate, sink into a booth or pull up a stool at our high tables, and let us pour you a glass of wine.

The restaurant is in the heart of the Theatre District, and our Express Omakase menu is designed to offer the perfect bite for before a show.

                                                                                                  Our first visit to Flesh & Buns, and very impressed. The restaurant was amazingly busy early Saturday evening and now we know why! The food was excellent - beautifully presented sashimi, superb Wagyu beef and great chicken yakatori. Good selection of sake, and great wines. Service was friendly and efficient.

Everything was faultless amazing value for money, but what made the whole experience perfect was our server, I think his name was David, so attentive, charming and professional. All three of us said it was one of the best brunches ever ( and we’ve had a lot !!! )

The variety of food is impressive, and the presentation is always top-notch. The set menu is our go-to every time — it's not only delicious but also generous in portions. You can really tell care goes into every dish. Highly recommended!

                                                                                                  Some of the most incredible Japanese food we have ever had! We started with the fried squid, the beef fat chips, and the Korean wings and it was all delicious! For dinner, we got the smoked miso brisket and confit duck leg bao buns and the smoked chili beef hot stone rice! All the food was to die for. But the highlight of our dinner was our bartender Brandon! He gave us the best service from his favorites to eat and help choosing the best cocktails! We will absolutely be back to see him and grab more delicious food!! Thank you!

                                                                                                  Delicious high quality food and friendly attentive staff. These were the best bao buns I’ve ever had as they were really soft! Nice atmosphere without being too loud. Already want to return.
