Fleming's Steakhouse - St. Louis Ratings and Reviews
We went to Flemings for New Year's Eve and enjoyed their pre-fix menu with included delicious lobster bisque, a filet that was prepared perfectly, and a delicious cake dessert that we could hardly eat because we were so full. We had an exceptional waiter named Gordon so if you go please request him. Even though they were extremely busy on such an evening everything went very well and we were very pleased.
We went there on New Years Eve and it was packed! The service was a little slow as they were so busy. but the food came out hot and well-prepared and delicious! I liked the round tables so everyone could see and talk to each other, The noise level was not high, which was good. We had the prime rib which was very good and reasonably priced. Great place to go for special occasions!
We were seated at a nice table by a helpful and friendly hostess. Our server, Howard, was wonderful. We enjoyed leisurely but attentive service, and his suggestions added to the pleasure of the meal. The manager, Kate Outlaw, came by our table multiple times, was very friendly and and made sure everything was great. The food was all hot and delicious. I would recommend Fleming’s to anyone looking for a first class fine dining experience.
We took friends here for their 50th wedding anniversary and the food , service and the extra attention for the occasion were spectacular and made the evening very special . They presented nice little treat and gift card for our friends. Even though it was a busy night, I thought our waiter was quite attentive. Great guy!
All of the food and drinks were tasty but my strip steak had so much gristle in it that I couldn’t chew most of it. They were very nice about it and offered me another entree but I didn’t want to eat alone. They took the steak off the bill. This isn’t the first time we’ve had a bad steak there. It seems to me if you have the word “steak” in your name, the steaks shouldn’t be so iffy.
The set menu for thanksgiving is pretty useless. Definitely not worth the value. I thought the beef roast may be better as it was an additional $15 but all it was was 2 slices of beef and the same sides as the turkey. The green beans tasted as though they were boiled with almond slices just soggy. Mash was the only decent side and the sweet potato was tasteless too.
First time dining there for Thanksgiving. Traditional pre-set 3 course meal was very good & price was very reasonable. Full menu also available. We ordered from both. Staff was friendly & attentive from the moment we walked in the door. Even gave us a bag of leftovers (all guests got one) so you have leftovers just like you ate at home. Great experience. If we eat out & are in town next year, we will definitely be back for Thanksgiving.
I have been to Fleming’s many times for events and dinners. This time I was not impressed. The server was awesome and attentive, and the sides were excellent (Brussels sprouts and creamed spinach) but the steak. A medium steak is not medium well bordering on well done. It was dry and not close to medium and juicy. For the amount we spent (dinner for 4), that is the sad part. Not sure if the regular kitchen staff was out on a Tuesday night but this was not their finest hour.
