Five Horses Tavern is conveniently located in Davis Square, walking distance of the Red Line, Somerville Theater, Tufts University, Davis Square Theater and Porter Square.

Our mission is to serve modern American comfort food, incorporating locally sourced ingredients, with many vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Our friendly staff will make a memorable experience whether you join us for lunch, dinner or our highly acclaimed weekend brunch.

We are a fantastic venue for hosting large groups and intimate dinners. Our Bar offers a wide variety of craft beers from around the world, boasting 37 draft beers, 120 bottles, signature cocktails and a thoughtfully selected wine list.

Join us on the patio or saddle up to the bar and admire our selection of over 150 bourbons and whiskies from around the globe.

Reservations are recommended, however walk-ins are always welcome!

As a vegetarian, I appreciate when a restaurant has numerous options. Five Horses does. Also, I appreciate good non-alcoholic drink options, which they also have (although they’re a bit expensive, IMHO). I had the Mandarine salad with felafel and a non-alcoholic Crimes of Passion. Delicious. My partner had a burger and tots, which he also said were excellent. Our new server (“It’s my second day—excuse me!”) was wonderful. Everything was tasty, efficient and friendly.

Great time as always. This time I brought my three boys 15,12 and 9, they all really liked their food and the area.

The restaurant had a great vibe, and the food and drinks tasted great! Our server hardly stopped by our table however, making it hard to get refills and other things we needed.

My husband and our friend and I came here for brunch/lunch my husband and I had the Mac and cheese it was good and our friend had the cheese pizza she said it was good too our server was nice too and attentive wonderful service too

We have now had two business brunches at Five Horses and the staff has been incredibly accommodating both times. The food is good, drinks are great, service exceptional. Timing was impeccable despite having 20 people in our party. They were organized, friendly, and flexible. I’m sure we will be back and I would recommend this spot to others! Thank you, Five Horses team!
