Marylebone High Street, FishWorks is synonymous with seafood lovers. The restaurant offers a traditional wet fish counter where you can buy fish to take home and cook yourself, or you can select any fish or crustacean with our fishmonger and have it cooked there and then to your liking.

This stylish seafood restaurant is only minutes away from the bustle of Oxford Street and right in the centre of Marylebone High Street that has a great village feel in the centre of the capital.     We have visited all the London Fishworks restaurants many times and the food is always excellent. We got a discount this time which made the value even better. We had salmon and tuna as our mains, perfectly cooked and decent portions. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the background music which came on about 10 minutes before we left so we didn’t raise the matter. The music was too low in volume and all we could hear was some kind of beat. Unidentifiable music is frustrating. Not a big thing because everything else was so nice.

    After several visits we've learned that the food here is reliable rather than spectacular. My partner enjoyed her spicy mackerel, but said that it wasn't spicy. I had the dover sole, which was a reasonable price and well cooked, and the chips were good, but the beans were limp and the broccoli was so hard it was difficult to cut. We had two nice glasses of champagne to start, and a delicious bottle of chenin blanc with the meal. Service was really good. Our waiter Jose M was really knowledgeable and helpful.

    Since I cannot seem to send this note privately, despite the option being there in your feedback report, I am forced to send it via this route. Five of us had a very nice evening at the Marylebone Fishworks last night. HOWEVER, and this is the second time it has occurred, the availability of decent beers for diners was extremely limited. The menu only had something like five beers listed but it turned out that only two were actually available - two!. The choice was between two European beers, Cruzcampo and Morretti (with and without alcohol) - which, frankly, wasn't much of a choice at all! This is, indeed, a first world problem but, there are a myriad other nice restaurants around Fishworks, Marylebone and, with five slightly peeved customers, unhappy at such a very poor selction of beers (for the second time in a row), it could just tip the balance in us decidingto take our (regular) meetings somewhere else. Indeed, I think that, if it happens again, this will likely be the result. PLEASE GET THIS SORTED OUT.
