    We walked into Fish Restaurant & Bar a little after 7 and asked for a table for 2. The hostess says they are booked, but we could sit at the bar. Can we wait for a table? As we see an empty table for 2 open up. No, other people have reserved them. Oh ok. So we went over to the bar, opened up the Open Table app and made a reservation for 7:30 and went out for a walk down the street. We ame back 15 minutes later and show her our reservation. She tried to sit us at the same empty table I had asked about! So many open tables in the restaurant and one by the window. So I asked if we could sit there and she said yes. Nobody else came in to sit down and eat the rest of the time we were there. Dinner did not disappoint.

    Very nice local fish restaurant. I like that you can "curate" your fresh fish selections with sauces and sides. They do a very nice job incorporating your selections and presenting the dish. A bit pricey, but every restaurant has raised prices over time. A step up from a casual meal.

    F.I.S.H. is one of my favorite restaurants in Stamford! The food is consistently delicious and fresh. The servers are very attentive and friendly. I had the spicy tuna Poke bowl for the first time and loved it!

    Fish is one of our favorites, however last night was very disappointing. We sat outside and within 10 minutes my husband was getting bitten by bugs and there were bugs all over our table. Had to move inside and there was not a good selection of seating. Our waiter, Jose was excellent.

    Food was delicious and loved all the seafood/fish options. The only downside was the wait service. We sat for almost 20-30min. Without being tended to. We finally flagged down a waiter and he was awesome! Thanks Jose for being attentive and friendly! We appreciate you!

    We had a wonderful time at Fish Restaurant during Restaurant week in Stamford. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and fresh. The special margarita cocktail was fun and delicious. The vibe reminded us of our time in California where the food is fresh and inventive. Great to find a place in Stamford that we can return to and enjoy again!

    Homemade egg roll was greasy and undercooked. Crab blt was bland. One small undercooked crab cake smashed flat to fit the bun with soft bacon. Table bread was store bought. Fries were not crisp. A very average starchy lunch.

    Dinner last night was a great experience. The food was delicious. Our server was attentive (but not overly so 👍🏻) friendly and knowledgeable. Other staff were also very friendly and helpful. They worked as a good team! My only complaint was the very loud music but our server moved a speaker which was helpful. I saw another customer who seemed to turn a knob on a speaker to turn it down. Might be nice to keep them all a little quieter. And wouldn’t it be nice to have that block on Bedford vehicle free!!

    It took 20 minutes before a waitperson approached our table - and then only because we were desperately trying to flag a live body down - any live body. Though she wasn’t assigned to our table, she kindly took our order. I ordered a cocktail, and asked if they could bring it before our first course. That did not happen - our starters arrived rapidly (the only course that did) - well before the requested cocktail (which was very good once it was delivered). The bronzino was excellent (though accompanied only by green beans - a touch chintzy) and the pasta with seafood and fresh tomatoes was superb. Perfectly al dente fettuccine, a modest portion of shellfish - and a nice sprinkling of the best fried calamari we’ve ever had, not traditional with a seafood sauce but wonderful. Dessert - key lime pie - took a ridiculously long time to arrive. Food this good deserves professional service. The hostess was very sweet and welcoming. The waitstaff was inattentive at best, completely inept at worst. I had read quite a few reviews. Some complained about terrible service. Others praised the pristine seafood. They were both right. One caveat - small portions for the Restaurant Week menu, and no other choices for dessert other than the dessert of the day. The only thing that arrived promptly was the bill.

    Food was excellent, although the grilled shrimp on our salads were a bit over cooked on the first two (they forgot the third, and so made it up fresh and it was perfect) Service was awful/non existent. As noted, they missed one of three entrees, and we all ordered the same exact things! Waiter never checked; we thought he’d left, but he was still around and never checked in on anything. Also, chair are rattan over wood. No cushion. Very uncomfortable.

    My wife and I went to F.I.S.H. for the first time last Saturday night and had a really wonderful evening. Great outdoor patio to enjoy our dinner and drinks! Cocktails were great, the fish tacos very fresh and delicious and our entrees were very good. My wife had the Squid ink pasta and I had the Paella. We shared and each were really really enjoyable. Also, our waitress Diana, who was working her third shift was great! We will definitely be back!

    The food was very good as always. The waitress would disappear for long periods. We gave upon desert because we couldn’t find her. Much worse is simply the noise on Bedford street. There was loud music from a different restaurant and lots of loud motorcycles and cars.

    Beautiful night, sat outside. Salad with shrimp was large enough to share and delicous. We tried 2 different fish, blackened swordfish and the special Striped Bass. Both were outstanding and cooked to perfection. Only suggestion is music was too loud

    The food at FISH was good. The service was quite disappointing - they were not monitored and were very disorganized. We continually had to ask for a server - when ready to order, water, drinks, never got lemon after four asks, the cream was spoiled and not replaced. I wrote that it was a BD and it was forgotten until after we were ready to leave and had had dessert.

    This was my second meal here and it was wonderful! We ordered oysters and clams and fries for the table. My son and his date shared the grilled octopus and I had a blackened shrimp bowl. Everything was perfectly prepared and reasonably priced…we’ll be back!

    Before I go out to dinner I go online and look at restaurant menus to make sure that there are plenty of good options to choose from before making a reservation. We have been to FISH before and the menu has always been pretty basic, but when I looked online their food/menu had several new interesting options on it. There were "Nourish Bowls & Wraps", and "Modern Entrees" that looked good, which included some chicken and steak dishes in addition to more fish dishes, unfortunately none of these items were on the menu. One of our party doesn't eat fish, so that was one of the reasons I thought it would be ok to go there, but unfortunately we were handed the same old menu which was about 1/3 of what is posted on their website. Fortunately there was one chicken dish, but unfortunately it was extremely dry This was very disappointing and very deceptive.

    Food was actually fine - we split a big salad and then individual dinners- shrimp and scallops. You get to choose the sauce, which is a great feature. Service was a bit slow, considering it was 5pm on a Sunday and it was nearly empty. We sat inside, but with the doors open, there were bothersome flys all around us.

    FISH serves impeccably fresh fish and prepares it impeccably. FISH offers a variety of composed dishes, but the heart of the menu is a choice of fish prepared simply - broiled, roasted or pan seared - and a choice of several sauces ranging from the classic (lemon and caper) to the exotic. The fish is cooked perfectly - so unusual, even in high end restaurants - and the sauces are delicious and fresh. At my table we had cod with salsa verde, branzino with mango and avocado and three exquisite shrimp Baja tacos. The sides are delicious as well, and the salads are perfect - just the right size, imaginatively prepared (dicing some ingredients, shaving others, interesting combinations of ingredients in good proportions).Everything was so delicious that when we finished we wished we could just start dinner all over again. And the service was expert as well as cheerful and kind. We were visiting from out of town, and I wish FISH would consider relocating to Chapel Hill or Durham NC!

    Food was very good. Waitress not sure what she could do in regards to the menu and what came with the special. Large group came in and it got very loud. Should look into noise absorbing panels or Pictures. They really do help. Will be back again!

    The fish and chips portion was really small (especially the fish) and very, very oily. It was a disappointment, especially for $30! The lobster poached eggs… it did not see a lot of lobster, and I am not sure about that ham either. The potatoe served as a side was soaked in oil. Overall a dissapointment, the food was poorly prepared from seemingly cheap ingredients. I don’t recommend to eat here. The place is nicely renovated, and the managers are very nice but the food is below average.

    First time at this establishment. The food was very good and fresh. We both had fish dishes. The appetizer called for Collaseul Shrimp. We feel they were average.Glasses of wines were very tasty and good prices. Was surprised when they didn't finish the meal with asking for desert. We were pretty satisfied anyway. Not sure we had room. Overall a good experience and would return.
