Experience the beauty of the Pacific Ocean at The Fish Hopper Seafood and Steak, overlooking Kailua Bay on the Big Island Hawaii. Enjoy fresh seafood from Hawaii and fresh seafood flown in weekly from California, plus our signature Bucket of Fire and Volcano flaming drinks, all within walking distance to shops and historic sites.

A landmark (formerly the Ocean View Inn) and a local’s favorite Kona restaurant since 1934, the building housing The Fish Hopper has been beautifully restored to expand upon its spectacular ocean views. We proudly serve seafood from sustainable sources, harvested by methods that do not harm the environment.

                                                            Service was superb. Drinks were okay. We ordered the Royal Hawaiian margarita and the Big Island Mai Tai. Food was pretty good. We ordered the ultimate seafood pasta and the Mahi Mahi. Definitely worth another visit to try the other items on the menu.

                                                            Without a doubt this is our favorite breakfast spot in Kona. Diverse menu with outstanding plates. Great Bloody Mary’s (especially with the bacon). Mimosas are just as delicious too. Check out their menu and you’re bound to find something you’ll enjoy. We enjoy breakfast but will also be dining there for dinner as well.

                                                            Dining was just regular , nothing out of the ordinary. Happy hour was only at the bar and I was told by our waitress that we couldn’t get a drink at the HH price and bring it back to our table. Hmmm .

                                                            For Hawaii, their prices are good with excellent service and a fun time. The server was great and tried everything to serve us. Excellent service. We will be back.
