Had dinner and breakfast there. Food was very good
Service was very helpful and prompt. Would definitely return.
Great service but too causal not fine dining for price paid. Food was ok not great
Really great food! Comparable pricing to other downtown restaurants. Comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere as well. I definitely recommend, and definitely want to go back to try other dishes.
No real enclosure to separate the lobby, the bar and the restaurant. Very loud, service was poor, and the food was absolutely average.
Met my friend at Fire Lake for Sunday dinner. However, timing wasn't the best because the Radisson Blu was host to Texas Tech basketball team for the Final Four. Obviously the hotel was busy and noisy which impacted the restaurant.
My friend was seated right away at our reservation time of 6:15. Pretty impressive due to how busy they were. I arrived 10 minutes later and found out our table bordered right near all the foot traffic of hotel and bar customers that eliminated any form of privacy.
Food was very good. Had the dirty fries and walleye fingers which I have had in the past.
Wanted a mojito which, due to the crush of people, they could not provide at the bar. Back up drink was a Cosmopolitan which was average. From a service perspective our waiter was good and attentive even though busy
Nothing against the Final Four but looking forward to going back to Fire Lake when things have settled down. Always a nice place to have dinner in downtown Minneapolis.
I specifically went there for the brunch and they told us when we got there that because of all of the people from the final four they couldn't do brunch. What? Really? It's a Radisson hotel! The staff was great but I thought that was poor.
We are so happy to have found this place. The food was very good and priced right. Great wine list and cocktails.
They have an interesting menu, and everything we ordered was great. The three of us had small plates and craft cocktails. Loved the Boulevardier, but my friend felt the ancho chili in the margarita took away the refreshing character she likes in a margarita. Loved the walleye fritters, the chicken wings were super, and ditto the salad (Minneapolis salad??) that had bacon, corn, wild rice croutons, etc. Popovers are a must!
The drinking water had a peculiar fish smell. In addition one of the salads and the steak on another salad both smelled very badly. The steak that had a bad odor also had a strange taste.
Meh. It was okay: ambiance (somewhat incoherent mix of Northwoodsy and modern), food ( $17 burgers that were unremarkable, especially for the price) and service (friendly servers but rather slow service even on drinks despite early hour and lack of a crowd). French fries were great; otherwise meh. Likely won’t return.
We ordered the bread basket as a side and the ghost pepper cornbread was amazing! The pepper kick compliments nicely with the honey butter.
Very unassuming, comfortable setting. Nice, normal menu items at a reasonable price. I like to try different things, whereas my husband is more picky, so there was something for both of us. Portion size was.good for the price paid. Nice variety of beverages. Staff very efficient and professional. Pleasant, non-interruptive, yet attentive. Communicated well regarding timing, description of food. Very enjoyable.
We were dining for a birthday celebration before an event. We arrived early (5:30) and it was pleasantly not too busy. Our service was fantastic and the food was really unique and delicious. We tried the bone marrow appetizer and the Bison burger. IT WAS AMAZING! Maybe the best burger I have ever had. We were able to sit close to the kitchen and it was fun to watch the cooking staff as the kitchen got busy. I will definitely go back and recommend it to others.
We appreciated the hostess who found a space for us where we could hear each other well.
We were across the street at the Marriott for a marriage conference. This was our second time there and as before we dined at FireLake because it’s just that good and the service we received from Kevin was second to none. Chef Aaron even stopped by and wow... what an amazing young man.
Thank you FireLake. We will come back.
We were so disappointed with this dining experience. It all started with the waitress having little to no knowledge of the food or drink options. When we would ask about different items, her response was often "I don't know, I haven't eaten/drank it." It was so bizarre. 2 of us have food sensitivity issues, and I always get frustrated when a server automatically says "Oh yes, that food is fine and doesn't have dairy/gluten, etc" before they even check with the chef. Which this server did. And then both of us felt ill later that evening, likely because the food was not free of these ingredients like were stated. And then the food was bland at best. The salmon was overcooked. And over priced. The atmosphere for a Saturday night (and St Patrick's Day too) was neutral at best. The cocktails were so-so. We will not be returning here. For the money we paid we could have easily gone down the block to some of the higher end restaurants and had much better tasting food and service.
Great lunch special for $10. Had never been their before but was pleasantly surprised!
Overall, very good. Our server was very helpful and kind. However, I am a stickler about being observant and when our burgers came up our server passed them by for about 10 minutes kind of oblivious to what was going on. He went back and forth doing other things and never noticed our food there. Maybe they need to install a bell or other auditory cue when food is up because this is part of attentive service to me. The food was still good and hot. However, it was so close I was ready to go grab it and bring it to our table. The cook saw me looking and moved it to the heat lamp (which I also thought...why don't they bring it out when it sits for more than a few minutes?) I would just say...look up and always be checking for the food because if this was a steak or something else it can really affect the taste. Overall, nice atmosphere, good food and nice staff, but make sure to focus on getting food the table right away.
Breakfast was fabulous had the walleye hash and the and mimosa
Great service and great food. Wine was Manifesto, delicious. Gathered Greens salad fresh and very good. Then Lena's meatballs. Meatballs, potato puree and lingonberries is a perfect combination. Great service as well. Would go back and order all of the same items.
The cauliflower soup was delicious!
Great service and I liked the daily lunch special.
We were a party of 4 in a more than 1/2 empty restaurant yet it took over an hour to get our food after we ordered. We thought it might be due to the popovers we ordered we being made fresh, unfortunately the popovers arrived cold.
Great location if you are going to the theatre but get there early and prepare to be dissapointed.
We had such a great brunch on a Saturday that we went back on Sunday!
They have a fabulous breakfast menu! I recommend the Smoked Salmon Benedict, all orders in our party of 6 were outstanding! Very convenient breakfast while staying at Radisson Blu.
Outstanding manager in Kristin!! Her staff exceeds sensational. Always consistent and delicious food, and wonderful employees.
Food was delicious!!! Kevin was very nice and funny and a wonderful server. We had a delightful experience and will be back.
Overall great service and good food. Restaurant is in a hotel, so the space was not super unique, but it was comfortable. It was reasonably quiet, but it was a slow Monday night, so tough to tell. The prime rib was very good much larger than shown on the menu(maybe 15iz vs 10 oz in the menu), but it was advertised as smoked. Not very smoky but really tasty. The walleye was very fresh, and don’t miss the roasted vegetables. Very well prepared. Drinks are good but expensive.
I recently moved to Minneapolis and this was my first time going out to dinner since being in the city, so I had no idea what to expect. The whole night was better than I could have anticipated. The servers and bartenders were extremely friendly, the ambiance was fun and slightly romantic, and the food was amazing. I would recommend the meatballs and the butternut squash ravioli to anyone looking for an amazing meal!
Food was delicious, server was exceptional, drinks were top notch.
The chicken wings and popovers were my fave! We will be back.
First time in Minneapolis and this was a fantastic dining experience! Our waiter Kevin was attentive and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend for couples or business dinners.
Prime rib was OK but not done medium as ordered. Closer to well done. Bread basket with about 12 slices for $7.00 was excessive for 2 people.
Terrible service and food. Came into town for one night and was disappointed.
Great food and awesome service!
My friend and I dined at Fire Lake on Super Bowl Sunday. Therefore, there were not many people dining at that time.
Were greeted by our waitress, Karen, who was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable and prompt with her service.
We shared the walleye and dirty fries for appetizers and they were delicious and very filling.
For my entree I had the rotisserie chicken which was some of the best I ever had. Tender on the inside and the outer coating was crispy with the perfect amount of seasoning. Was served with a huge helping of mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli spears. This was topped off with a light gravy which made it into the perfect comfort dish
Surroundings were great and we were positioned near the bar to watch the game.
Overall an excellent experience at Fire Lake. Will definitely be returning when in downtown Minneapolis!
Great food with Great Service! Perfect meal before a Timberwolves game!
Really good food and our server was excellent. There was some modern techo style music playing which really wasn't our style, but was able to drown it out with conversation.
Drinks were decent.
Went right after lunch time, not bz, seated right away, didn't need reservations. Waitress was real slow and didn't check on us. Atmosphere is real nice at bar.
Overall really great place, and server was super nice and bubbly. However, the service while nice, was very very slow. It would take 20 plus minutes to get drinks when the restaurant was fairly empty. Wouldn't recommend for anyone wanting a "quicker meal". An hr meal turned in 2 and a half hrs.
