FireLake Grill House Downtown Minneapolis
Book your next event with us
Not sure I would recommend it, but that was not an option. It was okay, but there are better places in the area.
Food was just ok. Nothing spectacular. It’s in the Radisson Blu so it was a little pricey. We had some of their signature cocktails so those were good. Would be a good place for drinks. They ran out of the cheesecake which is kind of ridiculous so poor planning on their part.
Exceeded my expectations! Booked this reservation last minute due to it proximity to our concert venue. Totally blown away by the quality of the food.
Nice environment, great service. Lot s of space, you do not feel any interference from other curtomers.
Kitchet at sight, prompt and ready service
Four of us had dinner at FireLake for the first time. We ordered the carrots to share - they were ok. We all shared a bread basket and also cornbread. The cornbread was delicious. We each ordered a salad - they were all really good and the smaller size was big enough (with the bread) for a meal. The salads ordered: Gathered Greens, Minnesota Salad, Asparagus Salad with Salmon. We were too full for dessert. Our waiter (dang, can't recall his name) was friendly & fun, and his suggestions were spot-on. Definitely will be back.
We have dined here many times and is always a nice experience! The seating is a little uncomfortable in booths and tables but won’t keep us from dining here. The booths across from the private room can be annoying when room is in use do to noise and lack of privacy!
We had a wonderful meal. Scallops & Salmon were cooked to perfection. Our server, Kevin was engaging, timely & sweet.
Great service and good food. Not the best value, but it's the Radisson after all.
Great food, good service! Loved the atmosphere!
We always enjoy dining at Fire Lake when we are attending events downtown. The service by Wendy is engaging, consistently smooth and polished, and her knowledge of the menu items is unparalleled. The menu is extensive, offering many options for appetizers, salads, and entrees, so it is easy to find something to satisfy. The sauteed venison tips are amazing, the gathered greens salad includes my favorite combination of fruits and nuts and bleu cheese, and the pork chop with bacon marmalade is downright yummy. Thanks for another great dining experience!
Fun atmosphere, great variety on the menu, and some Happy Hour prices til 6:30 on weeknights.
My friend and I went for lunch. The menu was reasonably priced, and the food was decent. The waiter rarely checked on us, and the service was slow. We both ordered half a sandwich and a cup of soup. We were there for almost an hour and a half, and the restaurant was not busy at all.
Libby provided outstanding service. Our salads were great and the walleye dinner is amazing and a must have menu item.
My husband and I went for dinner and had an amazing time! The food was astounding and our server, Wendy was equally as astounding. We got the meatballs and the prime rib dinner with a bottle of Malbec that Wendy so kindly suggested. We will definitely go back and enjoy another dinner here. Hopefully we will be able to try some delicious Minnesota wines on our next visit!
The server gave great recommendations. We had a flatbread and the MN salad with salmon. It was amazing!
We usually love this restaurant. Don’t know what was wrong tonight. All food was sub par. Salads has no dressing. Pasta was bland. Server was attentive, but didn’t seem too concerned about the issues with the food.
Great place to grab a bite before a twins game. $3 Mimosas!!!
The good was delicious, we split many dishes to share and loved them all! Our server was very knowledgeable about the entire menu and suggested many great options!
We were looking for Wild Rice Soup and Walleye, which are the "Minnesotan" food to have and FireLake Grill House had them on the menu. We sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and the cocktails were well made. We enjoyed the Minnesotan cuisine and had a nice time.
We had a great meal at this restaurant prior to heading to a show at the Orpheum. The location is perfect if you are in the theater district and want a dinner that isn't a bar or brewery.
The service was genuine and attentive. We were asked if we were celebrating anything and Karissa, our server, was seemingly filling many roles while not missing a beat taking care of our table.
I would definitely visit here again as the was great and the service shined.
We had a very nice first time visit. Got their early and unexpectedly enjoyed some happy hour treats. The cornbread was delicious with a nice kick to join the sweet. The white fish dip was excellent and served with fresh veggies and flatbread. The plain flatbread was a bit crunchy/dry and a disappointment. But the dip is good! We split the lamb burger which is excellent. Fries not so hot. (Not sure what can go wrong with fries but these were not great.). Also split the Minnesota salad which sounded better on paper than in reality. It was a bit flat. Perhaps a bit more dressing on the side? All in all still a positive visit and we’d consider going back. Nice ambiance and attentive staff for our visit.
Amazing Bison burger!!!
We took my mom for mother's day and she loved it. Such great selections, unique menu and wonderful service. Made for a delicious mother's day!
We were a group of four women having cocktails and sharing appetizers before a show at First Avenue. Wendy treated us like royalty, the food was wonderful, and the menu gave us plenty of options to accommodate one woman who doesn't eat red meat or seafood (without making it an obvious sacrifice). I love this place.
Always a favorite
Libby our waitress was
Great! And it was so nice having a private sitting area! Should offer kid options.
Had a light evening snack at Fire Lake with their chicken wild rice soup and popovers.
The soup was very good with large chunks of rotisserie chicken. On the other end the popovers were a little disappointing. Top was more burned than crispy and the inside was a average at best. Honey butter was good as a compliment to the popovers
Service was good and waiter very attentive considering there weren't many diners on Easter evening.
Had dinner and breakfast there. Food was very good
Service was very helpful and prompt. Would definitely return.
Great service but too causal not fine dining for price paid. Food was ok not great
Really great food! Comparable pricing to other downtown restaurants. Comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere as well. I definitely recommend, and definitely want to go back to try other dishes.
No real enclosure to separate the lobby, the bar and the restaurant. Very loud, service was poor, and the food was absolutely average.
Met my friend at Fire Lake for Sunday dinner. However, timing wasn't the best because the Radisson Blu was host to Texas Tech basketball team for the Final Four. Obviously the hotel was busy and noisy which impacted the restaurant.
My friend was seated right away at our reservation time of 6:15. Pretty impressive due to how busy they were. I arrived 10 minutes later and found out our table bordered right near all the foot traffic of hotel and bar customers that eliminated any form of privacy.
Food was very good. Had the dirty fries and walleye fingers which I have had in the past.
Wanted a mojito which, due to the crush of people, they could not provide at the bar. Back up drink was a Cosmopolitan which was average. From a service perspective our waiter was good and attentive even though busy
Nothing against the Final Four but looking forward to going back to Fire Lake when things have settled down. Always a nice place to have dinner in downtown Minneapolis.
I specifically went there for the brunch and they told us when we got there that because of all of the people from the final four they couldn't do brunch. What? Really? It's a Radisson hotel! The staff was great but I thought that was poor.
We are so happy to have found this place. The food was very good and priced right. Great wine list and cocktails.
They have an interesting menu, and everything we ordered was great. The three of us had small plates and craft cocktails. Loved the Boulevardier, but my friend felt the ancho chili in the margarita took away the refreshing character she likes in a margarita. Loved the walleye fritters, the chicken wings were super, and ditto the salad (Minneapolis salad??) that had bacon, corn, wild rice croutons, etc. Popovers are a must!
The drinking water had a peculiar fish smell. In addition one of the salads and the steak on another salad both smelled very badly. The steak that had a bad odor also had a strange taste.
Meh. It was okay: ambiance (somewhat incoherent mix of Northwoodsy and modern), food ( $17 burgers that were unremarkable, especially for the price) and service (friendly servers but rather slow service even on drinks despite early hour and lack of a crowd). French fries were great; otherwise meh. Likely won’t return.
We ordered the bread basket as a side and the ghost pepper cornbread was amazing! The pepper kick compliments nicely with the honey butter.
Very unassuming, comfortable setting. Nice, normal menu items at a reasonable price. I like to try different things, whereas my husband is more picky, so there was something for both of us. Portion size was.good for the price paid. Nice variety of beverages. Staff very efficient and professional. Pleasant, non-interruptive, yet attentive. Communicated well regarding timing, description of food. Very enjoyable.
We were dining for a birthday celebration before an event. We arrived early (5:30) and it was pleasantly not too busy. Our service was fantastic and the food was really unique and delicious. We tried the bone marrow appetizer and the Bison burger. IT WAS AMAZING! Maybe the best burger I have ever had. We were able to sit close to the kitchen and it was fun to watch the cooking staff as the kitchen got busy. I will definitely go back and recommend it to others.
