   This was our first visit and I would not recommend. We had to find someone at the bar to seat us for our 4pm reservation as there was no one at the hostess desk. The servers were pleasant but slow considering we were literally the only diners in the restaurant section of the facility. The food was not worth the price charged. Ordering dessert was a joke. They have a very limited dessert option list and were out of most. This however was only conveyed to us after our server went to the kitchen to be told dessert A was out, then again when dessert B was out...... Over all very disappointed

   I was eager to try coming here because I’ve seen the restaurant on Open Table for quite awhile. I was a little disappointed that it looked more like a bar than a restaurant- the pics online are a bit deceiving. Some past reviews I read stated the service was poor, so during our visit it seemed the servers were trying to overcompensate for that by coming over quite a bit. The food was alright.. my husband enjoyed his. I had the Caesar salad, which was nothing too exciting and the grilled chicken fiesta sandwich - it was alright. Not horrible but not the greatest. It was worth a shot but I doubt we’ll be back.

   Food (street taco appetizer & bacon/avocado salad & burger) was good. Fries soggy. Service was good. Nice atmosphere in bar area which we chose over the dining room.

   The selection of food was good, lots of different options, lobster mac and cheese and prime rib being my families favorites. The French fries were amazing, but when you are paying $60 a head, hopefully no one is filling up on French fries! The chicken and fish dishes were pretty dried out, probably from being in the warmer too long. There was nothing on the buffet that I would think to go back to the restaurant for in the future. I was disappointed that we were charged $2.50 for small glasses of lemonade, again, at $60 a head, there should have been no charge for soft drinks. The service was good, they quickly removed any used plates from our tables, and the buffet always looked clean. Since we were already mountain biking for the day, this was a very convenient option but, it was very overpriced for the quality of food that was offered.

   Short and sweet: the food wasn't good, and neither was the service. Dry and bland buffet. Took way too long to get our check. If you have only eaten top ramen or Vienna sausages your entire life, sure, the food would be considered nice. Terrible experience, and definitely not worth the $60 price tag.

   The server was confused the whole time waited long time for coffee, the breakfast choices were scarce no French toast or waffles…omelette station wasn’t very visible not sure where drinks were

   I hate giving lower than a 3, but when your under skilled staff cooks 1 omlet at a time, your prime rib is fatty, shrimp like rubber, colliding wait staff and you dare to charge extra for a coffee with brunch. Sorry, moving on next year for Mother’s Day Brunch.

    Food was cold and took way too long to get. The bartender was ridiculously slow with filling drink orders. The view cannot be beat, it's a real shame that this place cannot get its act together.

    Food presentation was terrible, food was cold, not tasty and replacements were not satisfactory. I felt so frustrated, not at all what we expected. My husband refused to eat and we ended up with an expensive check for the remaining three of us that ate.

    The Connecticut branch of my family has been celebrating Thanksgiving and Easter at Fire at the Ridge for the past several years. The buffet is excellent, the atmosphere is lovely and cozy, and we always have a beautiful time. Excellent service, very nice people, we love it.

    There were a few disappointing substitutions in the menu. I was looking forward to the swordfish but there was salmon instead. White asparagus risotto sounded good, but we had pea risotto instead. (Which was dry) Dessert was listed as molten chocolate cake and instead was a slice of regular chocolate cake. Was disappointed there was nothing to go with the ham (pineapple, raisin sauce, etc.) but the rosemary demi-glace for the prime rib was outstanding. The highlight was the eggplant lasagna. It was excellent and so nice to have something a little carb friendlier than the mashed potato, parsnips (which unfortunately were overwhelmed with garlic. I like garlic but you could not taste the parsnips) and Mac & Cheese sides. Surprisingly, there were no hot vegetables but the chilled asparagus on the crudité platters was very good. Prime rib and ham were good; sides were carb heavy. Soup seemed popular but only one selection that I unfortunately, do not care for. Overall, much better than the last holiday we came for so I am hoping this level of quality continues.

    Very loud, people creeping in on our table while eating, food was ok. ordered the skillet breakfast and it was not as described on the menu. Basically eggs on top of potatoes (which were very good!). One in our party had the hamburg which looked and was delicious

    Julie was fantastic! Great attention to our order and made us feel very welcome. Sat upstairs and the heat was unbearable. No consideration to comfort. The Etouffee was a bit watery and could’ve had more seafood for he price and less rice. Salmon was excellent!

    It was our first time and everything about the place was Amazing. We rented an igloo heated with comfy couches so we could watch our kid ski. The food was AMAZING! Seriously the best garlic Parmesan wings I’ve ever had! Service was awesome. We had a great time and can’t wait to return!!

    I was worried after reading some of the other reviews. However, we had a great first-time experience. Was it a little cold, sure. It was fine when we first arrived, but as the sun went down, it got chilly. Wear an extra layer. Our server, Katie, checked on us often. There were 6 of us, and we all enjoyed what we ordered. It all came out correctly. Overall, it was fun to eat at the bottom of the slopes in an igloo with twinkle lights. I'm glad we gave it a try. It was something different.

    Initially we enjoyed our meals but once the waitress took our dessert order she never returned. We only saw her take care of one table and never checked on us. never did the waitress come to see if we wanted coffee or another drink while our dessert was waiting. No apology or explanation as to why dessert was taking so long. We waited 40 minutes until I approached another worker. Within 2 minutes dessert was brought out. By that point we were done. Would not return. Terrible service. It was super slow hardly any customers inside. If it were busy I could understand but it was very quiet.

    We had so much fun eating in an igloo at the base of the mountain. The twinkling lights and activity outside were perfect. We shared the charcuterie boards and s’mores and the kids had a blast. The service was attentive and the waiter worked hard unzipping and zipping up the igloo door each time she came to check up on us, and bring us extra drinks and food. Although it has been unseasonably warm, there was a nice little heater inside the igloo so we were comfortable with just T-shirts. The couches were comfortable and just right for the 5 of us. 6 people would have been a little crowded. Overall it was a really fun experience. The food was pretty good, but this was all about atmosphere.

    First of all we sat in the lodge which was our choice. It was very, very loud which we expected. Sat by the door to the deck which was a constant line of kids in ski attire using the restroom, which by the way needed some attention as kids are not respectful of putting things in the pails. We had a very good server named Julia that was very nice and did a great job of taking care of us. Suggest if you want an intimate dinner do not sit in the lodge but in the Dinning room where it is much quieter and more intimate.

    The igloo was a bust, the plastic was ripped and the heater wasn’t working so we moved inside, which was disappointing. I wish the lighting was the same as the igloos used for socializing. The food wasn’t the best that we had there. The food orders were mixed up and the burgers weren’t cooked to our liking. This was a birthday celebration so it did put a damper on the festivities. I would try again another time.

    Please save your money and dine elsewhere. The service was slow and the staff seemed overwhelmed and stressed out which on a busy Friday night is somewhat expected. The issue wasn’t so much the service or the fact that we waited 45 minutes past our reservation time. The quality of the food is the true problem. Our meals arrived first before our cocktails. We were unable to eat because there was no silverware. When we were finally prepared to eat I had wished I could go back in time and have gone elsewhere. Out of four people none of us enjoyed our meals. McDonald’s would have been a more enjoyable meal and much cheaper

    We loved dining in the heated igloo!! I have a medically fragile family member, so I really appreciate the ability to dine in an isolated space. I hope you keep the igloos forever.

    Love Fire at the Ridge. As someone with food allergies, Fire at the Ridge always has interesting items on their menu that I can eat and still get a diverse variety of foods.The atmosphere is great for a romantic dinner for 2 or for a family dinner with little kids. Love that the bar area is separate which makes the noise minimal yet lively.

    Timing of food served as all wrong. Ordered appetizer that came after the entree and the calamari was wet and soggy. The only reason I would return is the live music and ambiance as this first impression was not up to par.

    We waited over an hour for our lunch. The waitress never came back to check on us after she dropped off our drinks. Never got a refill on coffee or soda and never got an explanation for the delay. We had to find her and ask about our food. A burger came out raw after the hour wait. The nicest thing I have to say is that they took the burger off our bill. I will not be back.
