This was my first and last visit. It is a lovely venue. I was seated for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement of my presence; no greeting, no water, no bread, no offer of anything from the bar, no nothing. I finally went to the hostess station and said I had been there 15 minutes with no attention and he asked "where" I was seated and apologized. Apparently a different server was assigned who came and offered drinks, water, etc. After that service was marginal. The food was forgetable; my scallops had minimal flavor and my friend said her fist was cooked to "mush." My dish didn't sit well and I was up several times during the night with stomach "issues." We were offered no discount or compensation for our treatment and the whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth...no pun intended. This was a bad experience and I certainly will not go back.
We enjoyed the lively, friendly atmosphere, the large "open" space dining area, Service was friendly and efficient, though sometimes slowed by a very busy environment. Good for families, students, groups. Food was tasty, good quality if not exceptional, prices "normal". Easily accessible, we found parking convenient. Worth becoming a regular if you are living nearby.
We were promptly seated, initial drinks and menu's provided promptly. The main course do not come so quickly we felt rushed, we had just finished the appetizers and the courses came about 5 minutes latter. Very relaxing meal the wait staff was appropriately attentive.
We booked a table for 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) for 7pm and reached there a few minutes early. The restaurant seemed very busy and it was clear that they had not actually reserved a table for us, as they put our name on a list of waiting patrons. We waiting for half an hour waiting giving them enough time to find a table. But, even after that, the answer was that it might take a fair bit longer before they could get us a table. We left.
I am glad that the restaurant was busy with so many people wanting to eat there. However, I found it unacceptable that they would take reservations, but not respect the reservation.
Excellent from start to finish. No disappointments !!!
Made a reservation for 730. Showed up at 7:22 and was told that our table wasn't ready and it would be at least 20 minutes before we could be seated. When we finally got seated At 7:52 our waiter promptly address our drink and dinner questions. Our waiter was great. But I will not be going back. Why make a reservation if they just give your table away.
Went for lunch on Friday and it was so good that we went back again on Saturday for dinner. It was just as good the second day. Great food and service!
Great food and service. Nice Mediterranean decor. We enjoyed our meal so much yesterday that we are going back again today.
Oysters Rockefeller's were outstanding! We both had the special's one Mahi Mahi and a Veal chop. Neither of us were impressed by either dish and the veggies were like frozen out of a bag.
We ate here before going to a musical at the Center of Performing Arts. Although, there was a large party while we were eating, our service was not diminished and the noise level was fine. One of us ordered one of the specials (the Veal Chop w/ mushrooms and au gratin potatoes). It was absolutely enough for 2 people and those of us who didn't order it were salivating. I have the Jumbo Baked Prawns and they were so delicious. The linguine was cooked to perfection with just the perfect amount of sauce. As always, one of our favorites is the warm fresh bread...I ate too much, but it was worth it.
Our server was so friendly and accommodating. He did not rush us so my customer and I were able to have a lengthy business discussion. The food was AMAZING!!!!
My wife and I ate here for the first time before attending an event at Santa Clara University. We had reservations, but they were running a bit behind and promised us that we could still get in and out in under an hour. The manager and wait staff were fantastic about helping us despite the fact that the place - including banquet room was packed. I thought the food (we had a couple different pasta dishes) were very good. It's not gourmet by any stretch, but the it was fresh, tasty and plentiful. We will definitely go back again if we're in the area.
Our first visit and we'll be back. Classic Italian entrees. Server couldn't remember our requests (i.e. more water, more salad dressing) but others stepped in quickly to help when we grew impatient. We will probably give it another try because the food is worth returning.
We always have a wonderful meal at Fiorillo's. Service is excellent too.
Fiorillos is family run, with dedicated servers and excellent fare. Always a good meal. Make a reservation for Fridays and other busy times!
Favorite Friday dinner place!
Always great food served by a professional staff and reminiscent of the great Brooklyn restaurants.
We had an early dinner here. The wait staff was very attentive. The Chicken Rollatini was very moist and tasteful. The mushroom sauce was excellent. The Prawn Scampi was also delicious. Vegetables were done just right. Our only complaint was the food could have been a little hotter. It was lukewarm when it came. We will come back if we're in the area.
The food and the variety are awesome. Staff is friendly and courteous. Always a great meal.
We went here before a play at nearby Santa Clara University, and enjoyed the friendly, prompt service, extensive menu, plentiful gluten-free options, nice-sized portions and all around good experience. It's a very nice mid-range option: levels above a chain restaurant but not a high-end dining experience. The biggest disappointment was that the pasta was slightly under-cooked (it probably needed 1 or 2 minutes more to reach al dente). While the service was nice enough we could have sent it back, our timing was such that we didn't say anything.
The food is fabulous - as always and the service is the same. Our friends and family love this restaurant. It is a regular go to for a get together.
The food was pretty good, and prices are very reasonable. The service was a bit slow and uncoordinated, even though it was not busy. Lighting was a bit harsh in the dining area. Wine list is not great. Looks like a good venue for banquets or for large groups.
Fiorillo's is located on the corner of El Camino with its own parking lot.
The dining room is very spacious with large U-shaped booths and home-style, wooden tables. The color palette of the restaurant, however, gives it a very antiquated feeling that is in desperate need of an upgrade. While we didn't get our waiter's name, we were pleased with his service, as well as the other waiters who were quite attentive when it came to our drinks.
My hubby ordered the ravioli with sausage while I ordered the crab bordelaise. Complimentary garlic bread and regular house bread with sesame seeds were served first as appetizers. We loved how hot and fresh the house bread was, although considering the cold butter, it was good that the bread was steamy. I was fine with the garlic bread, but my hubby felt it was a little too heavy.
Appearance wise, our entrees looked okay. The portions are certainly hearty, but the presentation was boring. While my hubby liked the ravioli itself, he wasn't too fond of the sausage, which wasn't cut into pieces but rather served as one, large link. The flavor of the meat wasn't memorable, giving off a strange after taste, and he would have liked the ravioli to be served in a larger plate since he didn't have room to cut each pasta square without spearing the others.
As for my crab pasta, I was disappointed with how watery the sauce was. Most of it sat at the bottom of the dish and didn't coat the pasta evenly. Therefore, some bites were much more flavorful than others. However, I could taste actual pieces of crab, so that was a plus.
By the end or our dinner, neither of us finished our entrées and we didn't want to take the leftovers home. While the portions at Fiorillo's are large, the flavors are lackluster. So for the price, we can't say the food is worth it. We have gone to a few great Italian restaurants around the area and for our personal taste, Fiorillo's leaves much to be desired. I don't think we will be back in the future.
The food and service are both always excellent! Great for a drink in the bar, or a luncheon or dinner. Staff is always friendly.
Went for lunch and was impressed by our server. Wish I could remember his name because he was always there when we needed him to be. The pasta was really good but a bit bland. The pizza was awesome. I would go again. Looks like they have a big banquet room so it would be great for a party.
Our dinner was awesome! Standards are as high as ever, food was mouth-watering, service was attentive and friendly. Only complaint is that conversation is hard for group of 6, as it is pretty loud. The acoustics are not great.
Great food and amazing service. Family oriented and simply tasty Italian food.
The food was awesome, I can say it is the best italian food I ve had. the ambiance of the restaurant was very nice, I like the decor a lot. We sat in a booth with a window, which was relaxing while enjoying the meal.
The menu is big and has something for everyone.
The staff is extremely nice, the food was late but our waitress Mariela was checking on us every 10 mins apologizing about it and making sure we are comfortable
Just expect noise when you dine here. They accommodate large groups and it tends to be pretty noisy in the weekends.
The food is ok, not 5 star. The service is friendly , but slow.
Seems like the business is barely alive. I came here several years ago and the business was busy and the food was great. This visit the restaurant was nearly dead and the food was sub par.
