Lovely restaurant, great food and excellent service!

My family dined at Taps for my dads birthday and we had an amazing experience! The blackened chicken is SO good and I would highly recommend this dish 10/10! The chimichurri steak sandwich is also delicious for all my steak lovers. Even though there was some confusion with my dads dinner the server Brett and manager Vasco took real good care of us and made sure we left the restaurant happy. It was in his best interest to keep coming back atleast 6 times to ensure my dad was happy with the service and his dinner. My dad ordered fish and chips which did not come out quick or good so they took the dish back and offered anything else on the menu compensated for so my dad ordered the steak sandwich instead. Vasco still felt bad and he was persistent to ensure my dad was happy so he ended up taking his dinner off the bill and offered a $50 gift card to ensure he comes back and also another dinner to take home so they gave us a blackened chicken, brought out two deserts, the cheesecake and tiramisu on the house and made sure we were happy! For them it's not about the money lost but a happy customer! Now this is what I call customer service - you don't find this anywhere in Toronto at all these high end restaurants so we were really impressed and I always come here and will definitely be back! Surprisingly calm and pleasant atmosphere, given it's right by the hotel foyer! I was dining alone but it was not awkward or anything and the service was excellent.

Best calamari Ive ever had. Really good thin crust pizzas with delicious, interesting toppings. Service was beyond excellent as staff assisted our elderly guests into the restaurant with grace and respect. Thank you.
