Best Open Kitchen Restaurants in Des Plaines

My friends and I met there for lunch. We spent two hours chatting and enjoyed good food. My friend had the hummus and vegetable plate and two fish sandwiches. I had the linguine with seafood. They drank red and white wine and beer. I had water. Service was attentive but no oppressive. Bill was $110 with tax and we left a $30 tip. $35 each for drinks, food, tax, and tip. A nice time. We were never rushed. We will return.

Always awesome! I had a trip to Chicago and booked a room at the DoubleTree for my first night so that I could have dinner and lunch at Gibson’s. It’s that good!

We sat outside on a beautiful evening. Wednesday was half-price bottles of wine. We shared a bottle of Sancerre, which was lovely on a summer night. All of the food was amazing. We especially loved the special appetizer, a crostini with prosciutto, burrata, peach and fig and the fish (walleye and trout) were outstanding. So yummy! Will definitely go back.

We had a wonderful experience! The food and service were outstanding. The staff was attentive and caring. At one point, we were waiting for certain foods, and a person made sure those came our way. The food was delicious. We were celebrating our son's 21st birthday, and the staff made our visit very special. Thanks to everyone!

I took my 11 year old daughter here yesterday at 7 for her graduating 5th grade and we had the BEST service ever. I was truly surprised and both of our waiters who were together were the sweetest and made me and her night special and we would deff return. I just wanted to make sure I made it known that these two were the BEST!!!!!! And I didnt remember their names I'm sorry!
