The Aperture, the first full-scale restaurant project from Chef Jordan Anthony-Brown. The menu reflects the concept of Mediterranean mezze style dining, consisting of many small plates, rustic in nature and reflective of seasonality and creates a natural progression and flow for the dining experience. The Aperture’s menu reflects three fundamental tenets: intention, balance, and focus. The menu - and its individual dishes - are approached with the objective of putting critical thought into every component, eliminating the extraneous, and ensuring a natural flow across the menu. The culinary program is heavily influenced by the cuisine of the broader Mediterranean region and the simple, seasonal cooking of Southern France, Italy, Greece, and the Levant. Our menu changes often and with the seasons. You can always find our current menu on our website www.theaperturecinci.com.

I loved the duck confit with cassoulet beans. He enjoyed the steak frites and went on and on about the frites. Simple green salad was exactly what we wanted. Our server, David, made everything even better. Only our second visit so far ;-)

Jeremy, our server, was excellent although several members of the Aperture staff assisted us during our visit. Service and food were superb from start to finish. Will hopefully be back soon!

Food is absolutely exceptional and Chef Jeff Harris and Crew are always switching up the menu. This restaurant is tucked away in a quaint spot of OTR. I’m a huge fan of the duck breast with shallot jam right now (I can literally still taste it as I am typing this review, it’s that good) and the Mama Wanda (which is a massive prawn with creamy grits and scallops. They also are constantly switching up the cocktails and use really interesting ingredients to make them with an awesome flavor profile. If you’re lucky, on Saturdays, they do the 1405 Chef Counter tasting which I just did for my birthday. really over the top and really fun and some really unique flavor pairings that you would be lucky to try. I think they switch that up every season. I haven’t been writing a ton of reviews with as much as I go out, but this place definitely deserved me sitting down and taking some time to give some love back. Mind blowingly good.
