Best Open Kitchen Restaurants in Blakeney

Hands down one of my favorite places to eat. The duck breast was simply superb. The short ribs fell apart in the good kind of melty way fantastically cooked meat does. The staff was so friendly, kind, generous and caring. Could not recommend Rooster’s more, -chef’s kiss- forevermore.

We really enjoyed the restaurant. Service was impeccable. I don’t remember our server’s name, but he was new to Charlotte. He was very personable and gave great food recommendations. Our drinks were great. I would come back for another visit.

The local cheeses and pickle accompaniment are excellent and would reorder again. The grilled chicken I asked for pairing with the Hoppin John was superbly cooked. My husband had the shrimp and clams with gumbo-soaked rice and that was also very good. It seems that some of the local suppliers may no longer be in business: one of the reasons we went to Stoke was because of this. It's not obvious if new local suppliers are used as the menus must be printed in the 1000's and difficult to update! The supplier names are also painted on the walls... Nice pre-dinner cocktails too, Stoke Manhattan was good with the entire dinner actually. Plan to return as we live in walking distance.
