Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Chevy Chase

Great food and wine place before a show at the Kennedy center. Service was top notch and cocktails were great too.

We visited Willard Peacock Alley Tea for a celebratory afternoon, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, Mimi and the staff were incredibly accommodating — even when we arrived late after accidentally going to the wrong location! They welcomed us warmly, seated us immediately, and ensured we had chilled water and champagne to start. The atmosphere was elegant and calming, with a talented harpist setting the perfect mood.The tea selection was exquisite, the tiered trays of pastries and savories were delicious, and the service was impeccable. It truly felt like a luxury experience, and we left feeling joyful, pampered, and grateful for such a special afternoon. Thank you to the entire team for making it so memorable! We can’t wait to return.

Roberts at Omni shoreham has consistently been a high level experience. Whether dining in an empty restaurant during cold months of January or a packed July 4 like this weekend the food arrives hot and consistently good quality I attribute this well run restaurant with the staff who have been there for years, particularly Annette who ensures my reservation is always honored right down to the specific table!

My friends and I were so impressed with the beautiful Tea! The service and warm reception from the start to the finish was superb! The food was outstanding and I would highly recommend having tea at St Regis.
