We go to the Captain Digby regularly and are always pleased with the food and the service, unfortunately yesterday was a very hot and busy day and the outside area was packed and they take orders for outside until 9oclock. The staff were rushed off their feet and trying to do their best but we waited 45 mins for our food and bill and at times felt as though we had been forgotten . It was understandable considering how busy they were but made our experience not so good. We will definitely go again but probably not on a hot Saturday evening.

Food and service excellent, staff could not have made more of an effort and were incredibly generous and accommodating during our visit - thoroughly recommend and cant wait to return

Had lunch with my elderly dad. Staff were all extremely friendly, food was excellent. Enjoyed it so much have booked for 28th June for my anniversary

Good pub food excellent service, we ate in the bar as the restaurant was full the bar was rather noisy as you might expect
